Chapter 825 I'm in a hurry!

Chapter 825 I'm in a hurry!

Thalia spent the whole day lying around at home. She was supposed to visit Evelyn the next day.

But Evelyn ended up coming to see her instead.

She was lazily lying by the bed, basking in the sun.

Evelyn came upstairs carrying milk tea. "What's wrong?"

"Dizzy," Thalia rolled over to look at Evelyn sitting across from her.

Her gaze moved from Evelyn's face down to her belly. "Didn't you say your genes weren't compatible? IVF? Or did they use some high-tech intervention?"

"Double protection," Evelyn said, propping her chin up as she looked at her. She noticed Thalia moving her calves, trying to kick a cushion down to prop up her legs.

She quietly walked over, lifted Thalia's legs, and placed them on her own knees to massage them.

Thalia was startled. "I would've enjoyed this before, but you're pregnant now! Won't Mr. Lopez have a problem with me if he sees this?"

"He can't see. Just lie there and relax." Evelyn pressed down on Thalia's legs to keep her from moving around.

Her slender fingertips massaged up and down Thalia's calves.

"Does it hurt?"

"Yes, it hurts!"

"If it hurts, why did you go? In situations like this, wouldn't just switching to a different man solve everything?"

Evelyn replied flatly, "I'd like to switch, but would Elijah let me go?"

"Rather than dragging it out until I'm too old, might as well solve the problem early."

Thalia sighed, not quite knowing what to say. "It's hard being human, even harder being a woman."

Evelyn let out a sound. "You're telling me."

During the days Eddy was sick, he was especially clingy. The nanny had to hold him all day without a break.

Even when William came home in the evening, he couldn't put him down.

So he just slept with Eddy.

At 3 AM, Thalia was sleeping soundly when crying and coaxing sounds pulled her out of her dreams. She propped herself up in bed, rubbing her foggy head.

William, who was about to take the child to the nursery, turned back around.

Holding the child with one hand, he touched her lower back with the other, asking gently, "Need to use the bathroom?"

Thalia shook her head.

"I'll take the baby to get his milk. Don't get out of bed on your own, wait for me to come back."

She nodded with her head down, awake, but her mind was still miles away.

As soon as the crying stopped, she immediately flopped back down.

Rolled up in the blanket and fell back asleep.

When William came back and saw this scene, he felt a pang in his chest.

On the weekend, Thalia was packing to go to the film studio.

Isla had contacted a cleaning company early that morning to tidy up her apartment at the film studio.

Just waiting for Thalia to arrive.

Before leaving, William leaned against the door watching her.

Patiently asking, "Got everything packed? Skincare products, medicine, phone charger, access card all packed?"

"All packed."

"What about your iPad? The one you watch shows on every day."

"I'm going there to work, where would I have time to watch shows!"

"Want Fallon to go with you?"

"No," Thalia squatted on the floor closing her suitcase. "It's not like I can't take care of myself."

William sighed, seeing her struggling to close the suitcase, squatted down to help her. "Around me, you have no ability to take care of yourself."

"At least you didn't say I'm still a baby."

William stood the suitcase upright and reminded her. "Remember, come back Thursday for your appointment."

"Is the specialist only available on Thursday?" Thalia blinked, asking, not wanting to run back and forth. "Who takes a leave of absence during their first week on set? People will say I'm being difficult."

"Want me to call your investors?" William looked at her intently. "Or should I call the city police chief over at the film studio to give you guys some trouble so you can have a few days off?"

Thalia immediately said, "I'll take leave, I'll take leave."

"I'll take it, okay?"

"I need to go now, or I'll miss this afternoon's opening ceremony."

Thalia wanted to leave, but seeing William blocking the door, she got anxious. "William? Honey?"

"Come on, are you going to let me through or not?" She stamped her foot in frustration.

William's gaze was deep as he reminded her. "Is that all I get? Just words?"

Thalia stood on her tiptoes, hooked her arms around his neck, and when her lips touched his, it triggered the fire that had been building in the man's heart.

Pressing her waist, he turned and locked her between his arms and the wall.

Tossing and turning, intimate and tender.

When William's hand fell to the hem of her clothes, Thalia alertly grabbed it. "No."

"I'm in a hurry!" Thalia was on the verge of tears. If she'd known this man was waiting for this, she never would have kissed him. "Then hurry up."

"Most women want their husbands to take their time, but you're quite different."

During their lovemaking, from start to finish, Thalia checked the time no less than a hundred times.

When the man withdrew, Thalia collapsed on the bed, somewhat dazed.

It wasn't until she heard water running in the bathroom that she forced herself to get up, change clothes, and drag her suitcase downstairs.

When William finished his shower and came out wrapped in a towel, he pulled back the curtain and glanced out, seeing the business van driving away, and casually dropped a comment. "Heartless woman."

As soon as Thalia joined the crew, congratulations poured in from everyone, from the director to the actors.

She was dizzy from it all.

She pulled Isla aside and asked, "Why is everyone congratulating me?"

"For having a baby! What else could it be?"

Thalia was speechless. "How does everyone know? We didn't announce it!"

"Mr. Brown had coffee sent to everyone on the crew early this morning, using the excuse of asking everyone to take care of you, making it clear that you're his and he's got your back."

Thalia was silent.

"Thalia, the director says we're having a wrap dinner tonight and asked me to check your schedule."

Asking her schedule? Since when do actors make directors accommodate them?

"I'm free anytime, just let me know once you've decided on the place."

"Great! Thank you, Thalia."

As soon as the young girl from the crew left, Thalia looked at Isla, puzzled. "They're treating me to dinner and thanking me?"

"Of course they're thanking you. The cars used in this production? Mr. Brown sponsored them."

"How did I not know about this?"

"You just be the princess. Why do you need to know these things?" Isla clicked her tongue. "Whatever happens, Mr. Brown's got you covered."

Isla had heard Amara mention William's after-work life since becoming a father more than once.

Busy with work, taking care of the baby, keeping his wife company—his life was a simple triangle: work, the baby, and his wife.

When Eddy was sick, it was William who put him to sleep at night.

Thalia at most held the baby when he was well-behaved and not fussy.

As soon as he was in her hands, if he cried, she'd start calling for help.

A real winner in life!

"Wife filming, husband sponsoring ads—I can't even imagine how much traffic this show will get when it airs."
