Chapter 494: Mr. Brown is So Handsome

Chapter 494: Mr. Brown is So Handsome

"Just now when Mr. Brown got in the car, I saw she seemed like she wanted to come over and say something, but Sean held her back." Finn said casually while driving after hearing Thalia's comment.

William understood and nodded. "I'll take care of it."

"I'm being so thoughtful, shouldn't you give me some kind of reward?" Thalia knelt down playfully, one hand on the seat, the other grabbing William's chin and pulling him toward her.

Under the dim streetlights, the man's handsome face moved closer. Today, Thalia was wearing a white knit dress, very stylish. As she raised her hand, the curves of her chest were faintly visible, full, round, utterly captivating.

William looked at her, feeling tempted.

His gaze on Thalia was burning hot, like flames about to consume her.

Thalia shivered from the heat and instantly wanted to pull her hand back, but the man caught it. "What kind of reward do you want?"

"Physical? Emotional? Material?"

As the rear partition rose, the intimate atmosphere instantly disappeared.

Hearing William's words, Thalia became interested in this game, and the push and pull between experienced adults began. "What do you want to give me?"

"Whatever you want, I'll give you."

"What if I want all three at the same time?"

"That's not impossible," William said, hooking Thalia's waist and pulling her close. "There's always a way to have it all. If you want them all at once, I can give them all at once too."

Thalia stubbornly asked back, "Like how?"

She didn't believe such things could happen simultaneously.

William chuckled softly, his eyes rippling like peach blossoms, their noses touching. "Do you really want to hear?"

"Can't I hear it?"

"Of course you can."

Thalia blinked and tilted her head.

She heard William's thin lips part slightly, his tone casual. "Then we make love while I whisper sweet nothings to you, and in between transfer you tens of millions of dollars."

"Would you say that counts as having it all?"

Thalia's mind felt like it had been struck by lightning.

Thalia lost this round. Feeling upset, she held back her anger, wanting to get back at him. She thought for a long time but couldn't come up with any good ideas, the frustration burning inside her.

The car drove all the way from the Jimenez Mansion into the city center. In a flash, she saw the barbecue restaurant.

She sat back and kicked him. "Go, I'm hungry. Buy me some barbecue. If you get it wrong, you know the consequences."

William was speechless.

"Pull over."

"Mr. Brown, what do you need?"

"Getting out to buy something."

"I'll go!" Finn offered tactfully.

William's cold gaze swept over him, and Finn was stared into silence, not daring to say a word.

"Cigarettes."

Finn opened the glove compartment and handed him the cigarette pack.

In the bitter cold wind of early winter, William got out of the car in his black coat with the cigarette pack. The desire Thalia had stirred up mostly dissipated in the cold wind.

But half of it remained, lodged in his heart, lingering, showing on his brow.

Someone accustomed to high-end restaurants suddenly entering a small roadside shop—the cramped, stuffy environment made him feel even more restless.

He wasn't born into wealth. He'd suffered plenty as a child. When Vaughn was busy with work and traveling, he'd leave William a week's worth of living expenses. Most of the street vendors near Westbridge University's old campus knew him.

But someone used to a high-efficiency lifestyle, suddenly entering such a small shop, holding a tray and selecting food, truly made him somewhat impatient.

But William knew his irritation was because Thalia had teased him and wasn't in a hurry to go home.

Nothing else had the power to trouble him.

Just as William handed over his selected items, a girl next to him bumped into him, knocking over his tray.

He said nothing, but the other person gasped in shock.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to."

"Let me get you another one!"

The man frowned slightly, somewhat impatient. He glanced at the girl, saw she was wearing a hat and glasses, and didn't look closely at her face. "No need."

"Just make another one like mine, as soon as possible."

"Okay, I'll get you another one right away."

"I'll be at the door. Call me when it's ready." William took the cigarette pack and went outside, standing at the shop entrance, lighting a cigarette with his back to the wind.

Before him was the weaving traffic, behind him the rolling steam from the spicy hot pot shop. Two drags on the cigarette improved his mood somewhat.

"Mr. Brown."

As William was tapping ash from his cigarette, he heard someone greet him. Thinking it was someone from the company, he nodded slightly. "Working overtime?"

"Yes."

"Which department?"

"Finance."

The man nodded and said no more, understanding that with year-end approaching, it was the finance department's busiest time, and overtime was common.

The man reached back and pulled open the shop's glass door. "Go inside! It's cold out here."

In the deep night, with neon lights flashing, the business tycoon who occupied the top floor of the CBD was holding the door for his subordinates at an inconspicuous little shop—such a gesture, how could people not go crazy?

Especially since this man was young and talented, distinguished in appearance, with outstanding bearing.

"Sir, your order is ready."

William went in, took the takeout box from the owner, pulled out his wallet from his coat pocket, took out all the cash inside, and handed it to the owner. "These people are also on me, just give them the change."

"Thank you, Mr. Brown."

William nodded and left. The moment the glass door closed behind him, everyone went wild.

"Mr. Brown is so handsome!"

"The moment he held the door for us just now was so cool!"

"But why would Mr. Brown eat barbecue? And why would he buy it himself?"

"Could it be for his girlfriend? Was that scandal from a few days ago real?"

"Could it be Ms. Smith?"

"Talking about the boss's private life, do you want to lose your job?" Someone scoffed, and the person sheepishly shut up.

The people from The Celestia Group left with their food. The girl sitting in the corner stood up.

"Boss, make me one exactly like that gentleman's order."

The girl said nothing more, pulling out cash crisply and decisively.
