Chapter 68 Take Off Your Clothes for Me...
"Are you kidding me? You think I forgot all the crap you put me through? Acting all innocent now, huh? You were pretty wild back then, weren't you? I watched all the videos. Filming while doing it, really? What, were you planning to show them to your son for a little 'how-to' lesson?"
"Pushy much? If you can do it, why can't I talk about it? Ms. Clark, do you even realize that back in the day, you'd be drowned for this kind of behavior? Can't handle a few words from me? Fine, every time I see you, I'll remind you of the filthy things you did. When I get some free time, I'll write a memoir about the three of us and send you a signed copy."
Aria stood there, feeling more and more embarrassed as the crowd around them grew. She cast a pleading look at Walter, hoping for some help.
Walter, at least, had a bit of decency left.
He looked at Thalia and said, "We were in the wrong. Tell us what you want as compensation."
Thalia almost laughed out loud. "Compensation? What could you possibly offer me?"
"Just tell me."
Walter's straightforwardness almost made Thalia feel like cheating wasn't so bad.
He acted like a martyr, and it was kind of impressive.
"Simple. Leave me one of your hands."
Walter: ........
The crowd gasped.
William: ....... Bold move.
"Do you even know the law, Thalia? You sound like an uneducated fool."
"The law? Mr. Wood, so law-abiding, yet you did something so disgusting?"
People are funny like that. When it's in their favor, they act all righteous. When it's not, they try to crush others.
"Let's go," Walter said, glancing at Aria, ready to leave. The people of Emerald City had already gossiped enough about the Wood family. Staying longer would just make them more of a joke.
Had he really just been missing Thalia?
Had he not had enough humiliation?
Walter picked up his phone from the table and tried to leave, bypassing Thalia.
Thalia wasn't in a hurry. She let out a cold laugh...
She quickly snatched Walter's phone and tossed it into the sea.
The crowd was stunned, watching the drama unfold with excitement.
When it comes to arguments, Thalia was unmatched. Walter had met his match today.
"He deserved it! Who cheats and then expects sympathy?"
"If someone put my dad in the hospital and then cheated, I'd ruin them too. Thalia's too proud to let this slide."
"Is that all the Emerald City princess can do?"
"Walter's a piece of work, hiding instead of fixing things."
"Pathetic!"
"Thalia, have you lost your mind?" Walter felt humiliated, glaring at Thalia with barely contained anger.
Thalia nonchalantly dusted off her nails. "If I remember right, I bought you that phone."
She then looked at the phone in Aria's hand. "You want to throw it yourself, or should I?"
Aria tightened her grip on her phone, knowing it was next. Thalia had always been generous, buying the latest phones for Walter and even his secretary.
"Using the phone I bought to flirt and film your dirty deeds, how interesting!"
William, sitting with his legs crossed and a cigarette in hand, couldn't help but laugh at Thalia's words.
Aria, trying to be tough, threw her phone into the sea as well. It pained her to lose such an expensive phone so soon.
Walter's face darkened, his hatred for Thalia clear. "Happy now? Can we go?"
"Your clothes."
Walter's face changed. He had picked out an outfit Thalia had bought him that morning, hoping to reminisce. But now...
"Isn't this just like a movie?"
"Is Thalia going to make Walter strip?"
"What's with the video?"
"Thalia doesn't take any crap."
"With everyone watching, Walter's going to be famous tomorrow."
"Don't push it," Walter finally said after a long pause.
Thalia crossed her arms and tilted her head, her smile cold and unyielding. "Two choices: strip, or I'll show everyone your sex tapes."
Walter's chest heaved with anger.
He didn't want to argue with Thalia. He knew her well enough to know that defying her was a dead end.
Walter took off his jacket and threw it at Thalia's feet.
Thalia smirked. "Shirt too."
Walter continued, stripping off his shirt and tossing it to her.
Thalia stepped back, her posture and demeanor exuding superiority.
"Pants..."
Walter: .......
The crowd: ....... "This is intense."
"That's Thalia for you!"
"Thalia's not holding back. I've been waiting for her to put him in his place."
William raised an eyebrow, flicking his cigarette ash. "She bought him a lot of stuff."
Who knew Thalia was so generous in relationships?
William felt a pang of jealousy.
Walter got all the perks he never did!
"Thalia, we'll pay for the pants," Aria said, stepping in to shield Walter, not wanting him to suffer more.
"You can only buy them if I want to sell them!"
Thalia raised her chin. "Quit wasting my time. Strip and leave."
Walter, seething with rage, undid his belt and took off his pants.
Standing in his boxers on the balcony, the sea breeze chilling him.
"Take them and go," Walter said, throwing the pants at Thalia's feet.
Thalia pressed her tongue against her cheek, ignoring Walter's curses. "Underwear too..."
