Chapter 362 What to Talk About

Chapter 363 Do You Want to Pull Thalia and William into the Circle of Regal City?

William took off his clothes and tossed them on the sofa.

Seeing things were heading south, Fallon put down the tray and left.

When these two started flirting, she'd better make herself scarce, or she'd be in for it.

"I don't want to talk!"

"Too bad!"

Thalia grabbed a cushion to shield herself, blinking at him. "No way, you have to listen to me!"

William laughed in frustration. Thalia was the type who took all the credit and left him with all the blame. "Spend my money and have you call the shots?"

Thalia snorted, flopped sideways onto the sofa, and started acting like a brat. "I don't care."

"Get up!"

"No! I'm your wife."

"I'm your husband, but that doesn't stop you from yelling at me whenever you want."

"I did not!"

William's head was pounding with anger. He pulled out his phone, opened the chat, and yanked Thalia up from the sofa. "Come on, look at this."

"I'm blind." Thalia covered her eyes and refused to open them.

"Then I'll read it to you!"

"I'm deaf!"

William sneered, "Blind and deaf? Perfect, then let's go upstairs and have sex."

Thalia added, "I'm tired, I'm sleepy, I want to sleep."

"You stay home all day, and you're still tired?"

Thalia was thrown onto the bed and curled up at the headboard, wrapped in the blanket. "I went out."

"Where?"

"To see my mom. When I get hurt outside, I really miss my mom," Thalia pouted, looking at William. And you still have the nerve to push me around?

William was about to lose it.

William stormed out, slamming the door. Thalia let out a huge sigh of relief, sprawled on the bed, and had Fallon bring up her phone.

...

"The Mitchell Group's stock hit the limit down at opening this morning," Raymond lounged in his hotel room, phone to his ear, listening to the voice on the other end.

The wine glass in his hand swayed back and forth, the wine sloshed around hundreds of times without him taking a sip.

"Elowen has come to see me so many times without making the news. Why did it make headlines this time?"

"You think someone set this up?"

"Maybe. Look into it."

The man was a bit stunned. "Didn't you say you weren't getting involved in the Mitchell family's business?"

Of course, he wasn't getting involved, but this trending topic was too suspicious. If someone was deliberately behind it, they had to be on guard—what if they were trying to break them down piece by piece?

"Don't ask questions, just investigate."

Soon, another call came in. "It's Ms. Smith."

Thalia?

No need to investigate further. With Thalia's vengeful personality, Elowen or Eleanor must have provoked her, otherwise she wouldn't have done this.

"Got it," Raymond said. Just hearing Thalia's name made his leg itch. If Eleanor could be played like this by her, wouldn't he be even worse off?

Sure enough! When women get ruthless, men don't stand a chance.

"What about Elowen!"

"I heard her grandfather locked her up. She's been stuck at the Mitchell Villa these past few days, not allowed to leave."

Elowen was really pathetic. With her personality, ten of her wouldn't be enough for Thalia to toy with.

"Is my grandfather still in Emerald City?"

"Yes! I heard he wanted to meet Mr. Brown tonight but couldn't."

These people from Regal City were really something. When their own situations got bad, they started eyeing others. The key was, if they humbled themselves when asking for help, they might actually get somewhere, but no, they came from Regal City thinking they were superior, acting all high and mighty, never imagining they were just struggling to survive.

Regal City had already been reshuffled, and some people still refused to accept it and wanted to fight for their position.

How pathetic!

"Go send my grandfather a big gift."

"What are you planning?"

"It's more fun when everyone plays together! Isn't my meaning obvious enough?" Raymond lit a cigarette, took a light drag, his smile faint and not reaching his eyes.

Raymond sent a photo to the person. The other side immediately understood. "You want to drag Thalia and William into Regal City's circle?"

The person thought for a moment, looking at him with some hesitation. "Steven is ruthless. Years ago, he abandoned his own eldest daughter for his career. If he finds out about Thalia and William's relationship now, who's to say he won't kidnap Thalia to force William!"

"Oh! So what?" The other side froze!

"Ms. Smith holds such grudges. If she finds out you're the one pushing this behind the scenes, I'm afraid she'll..."

"Kill me?" Raymond asked.

The other person fell silent.

Killing Raymond was definitely something Thalia would do!

"I'm already so pathetic, she wouldn't bother killing me!" He understood Thalia too well. Thalia focused on herself and her own success, not wanting to get tangled up with all those messy, insignificant people. Otherwise, while others were networking in circles, would she have thrown herself into the entertainment industry and just left them with her back?

...

"Mr. Jimenez, someone delivered something."

Early in the morning, Stefan opened the door of the Jimenez Mansion in Emerald City and saw an envelope at the entrance.

He felt it—it seemed to contain photos or documents.

"Who sent it?"

"Not sure."

After his last experience, Steven had become more cautious, afraid that what was sent this time might be something bloody and gruesome again.

Stefan handed over the envelope. "Looks like documents."

Steven's eyes darkened. "Open it and see."

Stefan opened the envelope. What appeared before his eyes were two photos. In the photos, a man in a suit sat in a chair, his long arm casually draped over the back of another chair, wearing a slight smile, his demeanor relaxed. The owner of that chair was a young, beautiful woman with an incredibly lazy and stunning presence.

She sat in the chair, back straight, face beautiful yet carrying a hint of cool detachment from worldly affairs.

This scene, without a single word, was enough to make one's imagination run wild.

"Isn't this..."

"You know them?" Steven asked.

Stefan nodded. "Hayden's daughter. She had quite a few scandals with Mr. Brown in Emerald City, but that was half a year ago. Haven't heard anything recently."

"What scandals?"

Stefan gave a general overview of the scandals between Thalia and William.

Steven listened, somewhat surprised.
