Chapter 253 Under the Lace-Trimmed Nightgown Is...

Chapter 254 Not Wearing Underwear?

When Thalia's gaze shifted to the doorway, people in the live chat were already asking questions,

asking what she was looking at.

Thalia replied that she wasn't looking at anything.

"Do you like men like Gregory?"

William closed the door behind him as he walked in. He pulled out the chair across from the desk and sat down, crossing his legs and folding his arms as he looked at Thalia seriously, waiting for her to speak.

Thalia had been streaming for less than ten minutes, chatted for a bit, then went offline.

"What do you mean, Mr. Brown?"

"I mean watching my wife's stream."

"That's not watching your wife's stream—people who don't know better would think you're here catching someone cheating!"

"Have you ever seen someone catch a cheater in their own study?"

William pushed himself up from the armrest, walked around to Thalia's side, leaned down slightly and reached out to grasp her shoulder, slowly squeezing it.

His rough fingertips slowly traced across her shoulder: "Not wearing a bra?"

"I'm in my own home, why would I wear a bra?"

"You're in your own home, sure, but do I need to remind you what you were just doing?"

"What about it?" Thalia grabbed William's fingertips and pulled them down.

Making him release her shoulder.

"Did I do a striptease or streak naked? Mr. Brown, your thinking is too conservative." As Thalia spoke, she leaned against the desk and hooked her hand around William's neck: "Mr. Brown, when you choose a celebrity as your wife, you should know what issues you'll face! Bed scenes, kissing scenes, wet scenes—aren't these all unavoidable in modern scripts?"

"This is nothing, and you already can't handle it?"

As Thalia spoke, she poked William's chest with one finger: "Your mental fortitude isn't good enough."

William was amused by Thalia's high-sounding words. He reached out to grab her wrist and pressed it against the desk behind her: "As I recall, only those vulgar, low-brow scripts that can't win major awards need bed scenes, kissing scenes, and wet scenes to boost them?"

"Well... who told me I don't have the ability or resources to get good scripts?"

Thalia tilted her head, her eyes rolling around like a little fox: "Anyway, Mr. Brown is involved in so many industries, why not consider adding one more?"

"You want me to be your sugar daddy?"

Thalia clearly disagreed with William's words: "What sugar daddy? That's too formal—you're my husband."

William laughed in exasperation, pressing down on her palm, gazing at her with some teasing, while his free hand pinched Thalia's cheek: "What's this?"

Thalia blinked innocently at him: "My face."

"Do you have one?"

"Isn't this it?"

Thalia pointed to her cheek.

William chuckled softly, helpless. His hand shifted to grip her chin with his thumb and forefinger, pulling her close, trapping Thalia against the desk as he kissed her.

........

"That's it? Thalia just showed up for a minute?"

"No way! Thalia streams once in a blue moon, and when she finally does, this is what we get?"

"What are you muttering about?" Gregory came downstairs drying his hair, seeing Luca muttering something while holding his phone.

"Thalia just streamed, ended in less than ten minutes."

Gregory's expression froze: "Really?"

"Yeah! There's no replay yet, let me search if anyone recorded it."

"Someone on the Facebook fan page is analyzing Thalia's home, saying she's only streamed four times total, and the study location is different each time. Rich people are really rich!"

As Luca spoke, he handed his phone over for Gregory to see.

Gregory looked at the comparison images on the screen, his eyes darkening slightly.

Luca also noticed something: "There's a man."

Thalia's study was different from William's. William's study had books behind him, while Thalia had various awards she'd won and decorative items. Whether awards or decorations, they all reflected light, and from this screenshot's angle when zoomed in, you could vaguely see a man standing in the study doorway.

Luca deliberately looked at the photo on his iPad several more times.

"Thalia's got a secret lover? No wonder she's not interested in you—turns out she's got someone."

"Is it John?"

"The height seems similar, but the vibe doesn't match."

"Oh right, the person who carried Thalia to the hospital today was also John. Her fans dug that up, so they didn't make a fuss about it."

Gregory looked at the reflection on the trophy, somewhat thoughtful, feeling like he'd seen this person somewhere before, but couldn't quite remember.

..........

The computer on the desk fell to the floor because Thalia and William's movements were too vigorous. Thalia was startled and trembled, reaching out to grab William's arm. William reflexively held her.

"What was that?"

William patted her back while responding: "The computer fell."

Thalia let out a big sigh of relief, leaning against William's shoulder, lazily nuzzling him like a cat: "I'm exhausted, carry me to the bedroom."

"You're into hedonism and still tired?"

"What hedonism?"

"When haven't I been the one serving you?"

"You..."

Before Thalia could finish, Layla's call came through.

"Was Mr. Brown there during your stream?"

Thalia glanced at William standing in front of her, awkwardly touching her nose, feeling guilty like she'd been caught: "Briefly."

"Please check Facebook, or have Mr. Brown spend money to suppress your scandal. Whoever causes trouble should deal with it, and save us from working overtime."

Ever since Layla learned that William was willing to spend money for Thalia, her opinion of William had skyrocketed.

Layla's temper had improved when dealing with issues.

Thalia hung up and opened Facebook to search her own name.

They could tell there was a man around her from that?

Thalia handed her phone to William, pretending to be obedient as she looked at him: "Mr. Brown."

William's reaction to seeing the photo was similar to Thalia's.

William said: "I'll handle it."

In less than ten minutes, the scandal about Thalia had vanished without a trace.

Layla stood at the office door, holding her bag and phone scrolling through Facebook, looking like if William solved it, she'd leave work, but if he didn't, she'd have to dutifully lead everyone in more overtime.

"Layla, it's gone."

Layla scrolled through her phone several times, and seeing Thalia's scandal had disappeared, she waved her hand, signaling everyone to leave work.

She felt like it was back to when Hayden was around.

Layla said goodbye to everyone in the company parking lot. Just as she was about to open her car door, someone emerged from beside the car—disheveled hair, barefoot, with bloodstains on their body—scaring her out of her wits... A scream rang out in the parking lot.
