Chapter 25: Do you want me to take your case or do you want to sleep with me?

Chapter 25 Do you want me to take your case or do you want to sleep with me

Thalia resumed her afternoon tea after a half-month break.

The law firm was buzzing with excitement, everyone feeling a bit pampered.

When William returned to his office, he wasn't surprised to see Thalia there.

"I thought you said you were done bothering me?"

Thalia was doodling on an A4 sheet and chuckled at William's remark. "Can't a girl have a mood swing?"

William glanced at her. "What are you working on?"

"Just jotting down brands I've worked with. I'm thinking of organizing a group buy for the female lawyers here."

William raised an eyebrow. "Ms. Smith, you'd be a hit in retail."

"If it was just for Mr. Brown, I'd be all in."

Thalia had a way with words. She finished writing and placed William's pen on the desk, looking at him as he stood by the window with his coffee.

William stood against the light, his well-built frame wrapped in a suit.

Even so, Thalia still found William quite the sight.

"If staring were a crime, how many years do you think you'd get, Ms. Smith?" William could clearly feel Thalia's gaze scanning him from head to toe.

Her blatant stare showed no embarrassment.

Like a shameless flirt.

Thalia got up from William's seat, smirked, and responded, "If I could get the death penalty, that would be best. If the sentence is too light, people might think I'm not good enough."

Thalia's words were loaded with meaning.

William's expression stiffened. Just as he was about to turn around, Thalia's delicate hand tugged at his shirt.

It slid around his waist.

"Isn't that right, Mr. Brown?"

"Thalia," William was startled by her cold hand and tried to push her away, but Thalia anticipated his move and held onto his waist tightly.

"Mr. Brown went to deal with Chase last night? You don't want to take my case, but you still help me out. Mr. Brown, do you have feelings for me?"

William was amused by Thalia's teasing and grabbed her chin, "Do you think you're worthy?"

"Ms. Smith, is there anything about you besides your face that I should like?"

"Isn't that enough?" Thalia looked at William in surprise, "Many people never encounter a pretty face in their lifetime. Do you want an interesting soul too, Mr. Brown?"

"Enough already! With a heart as dark as coal, who would want to marry you? Only someone as blind as me would chase after you."

"Besides, an interesting soul? Are you a ghost hunter, Mr. Brown?"

William was both amused and annoyed by Thalia's comments, "I say one thing, you have ten responses waiting."

Thalia shrugged indifferently, pulled her hand away, and hooked it around William's neck, rising on her tiptoes to kiss him. But William held her waist firmly, pushing her back.

"Ms. Smith, every time you see me, you're so eager to kiss me. I can't tell if you want me to take your case or sleep with you."

Thalia laughed at his last remark, her lowered gaze and smile were beyond seductive.

How did people in Emerald City describe Thalia?

Just looking at her could lead to fantasies.

"Can't there be a compromise? Like... kissing while we..."

William's grip on her waist tightened.

Thalia noticed.

She glanced down at his hand on her waist and smiled, "What do you think, Mr. Brown?"

"Thalia, have you no shame?"

"I want Mr. Brown more than my dignity."

"Suit yourself, I'm busy..." William chose to ignore her rather than continue their tussle.

He stepped towards his desk, but Thalia grabbed his collar, forcing him to turn around. As soon as he did, she cupped his face and kissed his shirt collar, leaving a red lipstick mark on the white fabric.

It looked incredibly suggestive.

William: ........

"Just marking my territory, letting everyone know Mr. Brown is mine. No one else can fantasize."

"The shirt costs sixty-seven thousand dollars, Ms. Smith. Remember to transfer the payment."

Thalia clicked her tongue, "Money? I don't have any. But you can have me."

........

Thalia clung to William, refusing to act or take on any activities, instead hanging around the law firm.

William ignored her, so she found others to entertain herself.

Whenever William needed someone to fetch a document, nobody was available.

The answer was always, "They're with Thalia."

"Ms. Smith, what do you see in our Mr. Brown?" Thalia was chatting with people in William's secretary's office.

"He's great in bed..." Thalia said seriously.

"What... You can talk about that?"

Thalia said, "Why not? Your Mr. Brown has eight-pack abs. Let me find a photo."

"Whatever you want, I'll satisfy."

"Thalia..." William's angry voice echoed from the secretary's office door.

Brian, standing behind him, trembled. They had just returned from outside and heard this explosive news. Thalia really treated the law firm as her own! Sharing nude photos?

Poor William!

William dragged Thalia into his office and slammed the door furiously.

"What's the matter?" Thalia asked coyly, pretending not to know what she had done wrong.

"The photos," William extended his hand.

"Here you go," Thalia obediently handed over her phone.

William's face changed when he saw the photos.

"Why so tense? If I really had Mr. Brown's nude photos, I'd keep them as a treasure, not share them!"

Thalia flicked her hair, looking nonchalant.

William was speechless with anger.

"When will you leave my law firm?"

"Easy! Just take my case, Mr. Brown."

.........

At the Brown villa.

Amara was scrolling through her phone, reading WeChat messages.

Amara handed her some fruit, "You came back from the night shift and haven't slept. What are you looking at?"

"Reading about William and his girlfriend's love-hate relationship," Amara had joined a small group from William's law firm to get gossip. She spent all day reading about Thalia and William's love story, like a romance novel. It was thrilling.

"Thalia?"

"You know her?"

Amara nodded, "I'm following it too."

"Come on, let's gossip together..."
