Chapter 45: Mark Drugged the Drink
Nicole's POV
My thong was soaked through.
Part of it was melted ice water, another part was the liquid flowing uncontrollably from my own body.
Hodgson's fingers hooked around the edge of my thong, his fingertips circling back and forth on my clit.
Each touch made me shudder with pleasure, every nerve in my body screaming out that I wanted him, wanted him to immediately thrust that burning cock inside me.
But he just wouldn't give it to me.
He seemed to enjoy watching me suffer, his movements slow and deliberate, filled with tormenting malice.
Desire and anticipation were driving me insane.
I couldn't stand this torture anymore and yelled at him.

Just then, there was a knock on the door.
The sound was urgent and heavy, jolting my foggy mind slightly clearer.
Who could it be at this hour? Could it be Molly coming to find Hodgson again?
Hodgson's movements stopped.
The desire hadn't faded from his face, and the interruption made his entire expression darken terribly.
"Who the fuck is outside?!" he barked impatiently.
Eric's voice came from outside the door, sounding somewhat anxious.
"Sorry, sir, Miss Molly sent me to find you."
Hearing it wasn't Molly herself, I breathed a slight sigh of relief.
"She seems to have eaten something bad, or possibly been poisoned. She's having a tantrum in her room now and has smashed everything," Eric continued to report.
Hodgson cursed irritably: "Send her to the hospital, don't bother me!"
"But sir," Eric said helplessly, "she says she must see you before she'll go, otherwise she'd rather die in her room."
Hodgson exhaled heavily and cursed "Fuck!" before fastening his belt back.
"Wait in the room, don't go anywhere, understand?"
He commanded me sternly, then strode out quickly and slammed the door hard.
With a "bang," I was left alone in the room.
I lay on the bed, my body still in the same position as before.
A few seconds later, I became completely sober.
I saw my nearly naked body and the sheets soaked with ice water and bodily fluids.
Shame and grievance overwhelmed me.
Damn it!
What was I? A tool for him to vent on?
He plays with me when he wants to, and halfway through, at another woman's word, he immediately rushes out.
And I can only lie here naked like a prostitute, waiting for him to come back?
Tears welled up in my eyes.
I blinked hard, not wanting to let them fall.
I yanked off the soaked bikini and threw it violently on the floor.
I pulled out a fresh set of underwear from the closet, put it on, then threw on my jacket and left this humiliating room.
I hurried downstairs and came to the bar from earlier.
Just as I was about to find a seat at the bar, I unexpectedly saw a familiar figure.
Ethan was sitting alone at the bar with several empty glasses in front of him. He looked like he'd had quite a bit to drink.
I was somewhat surprised: "Ethan? Aren't you with Emily?"
He looked up, saw it was me, and gave a helpless smile.
"Come on, Nicole," he shrugged, "you could obviously tell I don't like Emily at all. I just didn't want to embarrass her in front of everyone."
I sat down next to him, avoiding his burning gaze.
"You know what, Nicole?" Ethan took another sip of his drink, "I give up on you not because you're Shier's fiancée."
My eyes widened at him: "What are you talking about?!"
Why did he say "give up on me"?
Ethan continued: "Nicole, you and Hodgson have an unusual relationship, don't you?"
My breathing instantly became rapid, my heart pounding out of control.
Damn it! He figured it out!
"I don't know what you're talking about." I hastily denied it, but my voice betrayed my nervousness.
"Come on, Nicole, you can fool that idiot Shier, but you can't fool my eyes."
Ethan saw through my disguise.
"From the moment I started talking to you at the party, Hodgson's been looking at me like he wants to kill me. The way he looks at you isn't how an uncle looks at his nephew's wife."
His gaze lingered on my face for a few seconds before he finally sighed.
"I guess it's just my bad luck, falling for Hodgson's woman." Ethan laughed self-deprecatingly, "When Hodgson wants a woman, he always gets her."
I frowned, unable to voice any rebuttal.
Ethan was too smart.
Ethan looked at me seriously: "But Nicole, I have to remind you, Hodgson is not a good man. You'd better not fall too deep."
I nodded numbly.
Of course Hodgson wasn't a good man. I'd regretted getting involved with him on my wedding night long ago.
I swallowed and asked: "So, Ethan, can you keep this secret for me?"
Ethan smiled: "Of course! After all, I like you so much."
His direct and passionate confession made me blush a bit, but at the same time, I also felt relieved.
Just then, his phone rang.
He glanced at the caller ID and rolled his eyes.
"It's Emily," he told me. "Looks like my moment of peace is over."
He answered the phone and got up, walking toward the bar exit.
I took a deep breath to dispel the gloom in my heart, looking at the menu and preparing to order a specialty cocktail.
At that moment, a server came over with a drink and placed it in front of me.
"Miss, here's your drink."
It was a tequila, the amber liquid looking enticing under the lights.
I was stunned: "I didn't order a drink."
The server smiled and explained: "A gentleman ordered it for you."
I immediately understood that this drink must have been ordered by Ethan.
I looked toward the door. Ethan's figure had already disappeared. It seemed Emily had caught him.
Well, in that case, this drink was mine.
I picked up the glass and took a sip. A fiery sensation burned from my throat down to my stomach.
Strangely, after just two sips, my head started feeling dizzy.
"Nicole, I finally found you!"
A man's voice sounded behind me.
I instinctively turned around. Mark was actually standing behind me?!
Damn it! How did he find this place?! Wasn't this a private party? How did he get in?
Fear sobered me up a bit.
I stood up from my chair, turning to leave this place.
But Mark grabbed my wrist, his grip frighteningly strong.
"Let go of me! I don't even know you!" I struggled.
Mark showed a vicious expression: "Stop fucking pretending, you're Nicole Austin!"
Austin was my adoptive father's surname.
My heart sank.
I wanted to call for help but found I didn't even have the strength to open my mouth.
