Chapter 20:"Nicole, Find a way to make me orgasm"
Nicole's POV
I instantly froze, all my struggling stopped.
Even Hodgson paused for a second.
His chest was pressed tightly against mine. I could clearly feel the vibration in his chest - he was actually laughing.
"Things are getting more and more interesting, aren't they?"
His voice was right against my ear, his warm breath tickling my earlobe.
"If she comes in now and sees the two of us fooling around on the couch, what do you think her reaction would be?"
This hypothetical made my scalp tingle.
If Wendy gets hold of something against me, she won't hesitate to destroy me.
I nervously gripped his arm, "No, no, you can't. Hodgson, Wendy can't come in!"
"Please!"
Hodgson seemed very satisfied with my panicked appearance.
Under his silent gaze, my heartbeat grew louder and louder. He quietly enjoyed my panic for a few seconds before finally getting off me.
My chest loosened, and my breathing immediately lost its rhythm.
He stood up and straightened his somewhat disheveled shirt, not even offering me a hand, just leaving me alone on the messy couch.
Seeing him walk toward the door, I couldn't care about anything else. I immediately scrambled up, rolling and crawling to hide behind that large desk.
Then I held my breath.
Hodgson opened the door.
"Mr. Hodgson?" Wendy clearly hadn't expected him to be the one opening the door.
I heard her voice first surprised, then changing, a hint of nervousness and flattery seeping through.
"You... why are you here? I... I'm looking for Shier."
"He went to a meeting. Your timing isn't good." Hodgson's voice betrayed no emotion.
"Oh, I see," Wendy immediately said, "That's okay, I can wait for him. I'll just wait inside for him."
Hearing Wendy say this, my heart immediately jumped to my throat. My whole body involuntarily shrank further under the desk, afraid Wendy might discover something.
Hodgson's displeased voice rang out: "Wait here? The office is full of confidential company documents. Outsiders can't just come in casually. Do you think you can wait here?"
Hearing Hodgson's tone worsen, Wendy immediately changed her tune.
"Oh no, of course not! I'm sorry, Mr. Hodgson, I wasn't thinking clearly. Then... then I'll wait for him outside."
Hearing she was leaving, I breathed a sigh of relief.
But the next second, Hodgson suddenly spoke.
"Wait." He stopped Wendy. "Shier left his watch in the office. You can take it to him."
I instinctively looked at my hand. My palm was empty.
Where's the watch? I clearly had the watch in my hand just now!
I replayed the chaotic scene in my mind - when he dragged me to the couch, when he grabbed my wrist, he must have snatched the watch from my hand at that moment!
I was too flustered at the time and didn't notice at all!
Wendy's footsteps approached again, her voice full of excitement: "Okay, Mr. Hodgson! I'll take it to him right away!"

Why would Hodgson do this?! Why would he voluntarily give the watch to Wendy?!
I heard Wendy's departing footsteps and the sound of the door closing. I stood up from behind the desk.
"What the hell! Did you do that on purpose, Hodgson!" I couldn't suppress the fury in my heart, glaring at him angrily.
Hodgson raised an eyebrow: "Aren't you too?"
So he knew from the very beginning that my real purpose for coming to Hall Group today was to get that watch back.
He saw through my plan, but just as I was about to succeed, he personally delivered this fatal evidence into my greatest enemy's hands.
It was all over.
Wendy had the watch. She would definitely investigate its origins immediately.
Then she would know the watch belonged to Hodgson, and the fact that I fooled around with another man on my wedding night could no longer be hidden.
She would ruin my reputation completely, and I would definitely be utterly abandoned by the furious Gerald family.
Even my adoptive mother would suffer.
I frustratedly grabbed my bag nearby, wanting to leave this place.
"It seems you still haven't figured out who can actually help you in Astoria."
Hodgson's voice sounded behind my ear.
I jumped, turned around and looked at him warily: "Hodgson, I won't fall into any more of your traps!"
"Trap?" He seemed to hear something funny.
"Nicole, you're the real heir to the Gerald family. You should learn to fight back proactively, to make sure trash like Wendy has no chance of turning things around, instead of just thinking about running away whenever you encounter a problem like you do now."
Hodgson's words moved me.
He was right. And even if Wendy got the watch, she would need time to investigate.
I still had a chance.
After calming down, I looked at this dangerous man and took the initiative to ask: "You can help me? Really?"
"Of course." He suddenly pulled me into his arms, his lips brushing against my earlobe as he said in a low voice: "But first, you need to satisfy me."
Hodgson's breathing became rapid and burning, spraying onto my neck. My throat began to tighten too.
Before I could react, he had already scooped me up.
I let out a short cry of surprise, instinctively grabbing his shoulders, but could only feel the taut muscles beneath his shirt.
He strode toward the couch and unceremoniously threw me onto it.
