Luke took Jovannie to the amusement park.

When she reminisced the lovely memories, Jovannie felt much better.

As if they had returned to their youths, the couple enjoyed themselves in the amusement park.

However, Jovannie still couldn't help but worry about Lovette's condition.

Luke comforted her, "Don't worry, Lovette will get used to it. Have some faith in our daughter."

Jovannie could only nod.

When Luke told her this, he was actually helpless.

In fact, he was also worried about Lovette, so he had ordered someone to protect the child in secret. The latter had to message about Lovette's condition from time to time.

After reading the messages, Luke was finally at ease. It seemed that Lovette was doing just fine in kindergarten. She didn't cry or clamor for her parents.

Instead, she took the initiative to comfort the crying children.

Moreover, she was cute and loved to share her treats with the other children. Thus, all of her classmates were fond of her and liked to chat with her.

However, Luke didn't want Jovannie to learn about his wrongdoings. It was common for parents to worry about their child, but Jovannie hoped to give Lovette a normal and happy childhood.

In the evening, the couple went to pick up their daughter.

They saw that the child was the first to rush out of the gate and jump into her mother's embrace.

"Mommy! Mommy! Mommy!"

Lovette called with a bright smile.

Jovannie felt her heart soften at the adorable calling. "Mommy's here, sweetheart."

Luke also hugged the child and even carried her to the car.

Ever since Lovette learned how to walk, the couple hardly carried her around, especially Luke. He was worried that the child was so used to being carried that she refused to walk on her own.

Lovette snuggled in her father's arms and called him in a babyish voice, making Luke's heart soften as well.

Then, Lovette told her parents about her day.

Both Jovannie and Luke listened patiently, even though the latter had already known everything.

Hearing Lovette's story, Jovannie felt relieved.

It seemed that Lovette had perfectly adapted to kindergarten life.

Jovannie kissed her daughter's face several times and complimented, "Oh, my baby is such a good girl!"

However, she and Luke also noticed that Lovette became clingier since returning from school.

At night, Jovannie looked at the sleeping child and couldn't help but kiss her forehead.

Luke hugged his wife and kissed her as well. When they were about to sleep, Lovette suddenly muttered something in her dream.

"Daddy... Mommy... I'm waiting for you..."

"Two hours... there's still... an hour left..."

At first, Jovannie was confused, but she soon understood everything.

When she turned to Luke and saw the distress in his eyes, she knew that Luke had realized the meaning of their daughter's words.

Rather than adapting to her school life, Lovette believed that her parents would come for her and chose to be obedient. Although she had fun with the other children, she had been missing her parents in her heart.

At this realization, Jovannie felt tears roll in her eyes.

Luke hugged her tighter and looked at her wordlessly.

A few years later, Lovette entered elementary school.

Jovannie decided to tell Lovette that the child would be sleeping alone in the future. However, she could decorate her bedroom and filled it with her favorite toys.

Although she was reluctant, Lovette still agreed.

She had grown up, so she couldn't sleep with Daddy and Mommy anymore.

In the first few days, Lovette was so uneasy that she couldn't sleep on time, but she gradually adapted to her new room and got back into the swing of things. Seeing this, Luke and Jovannie were relieved.

Apart from the fact that Lovette was entering elementary school, the Miller family had a piece of important news-Gia, who had always been single, was going to get married!

Two years ago, Valeria finally understood love and pursued Donty passionately. Soon, the two got married.

A few months later, Zac also found his true love, who worked as a college teacher.

When Gia announced that she would be bringing her fiance back to meet them, the whole family panicked.

Although Gia was already an adult, her father and brothers still weren't ready for her marriage.

Luke, Zac, and Valeria were terribly upset, let alone David.

In the past few years, Gia traveled around the world as a reporter. Naturally, she would be accompanied by bodyguards. However, she talked with David and requested to be in full command. In other words, the bodyguards couldn't secretly report her situation to David whilst protecting her.

David agreed.

Thus, no one knew about Gia's new boyfriend. They were completely caught off guard.

Unfortunately, the men in the family had agreed to not look into her privacy unless something dangerous had happened.

Therefore, they couldn't investigate that bstard's background even if they wanted to.

On the day of her return, Gia was accompanied by a tall man.

The Miller family purposely gathered together to welcome Gia's return. At the same time, they wanted to see who the lucky man was.

They saw a tall man stand beside her.

It was a fact that the men in the Miller family were physically tall, yet this stranger was practically the same height as them.

His expression was calm and his eyes revealed a hint of friendliness. Moreover, his temperament was completely different from the Miller family.

When David and his sons saw how Gia snuggled to the man affectionately, they couldn't help but feel jealous and bitter.

Even though he was rather good-looking, they were still displeased.

In the living room.

Gia introduced her boyfriend to her family, "This is Neil. He's 30 this year. He used to be a soldier for the past 8 years. After his retirement, he started his own private military company."

Neil Banks greeted everyone seriously and respectfully.

In fact, the Miller men instantly saw through Neil's identity from his temperament and gait.

Gia also introduced her family to Neil.

The gentlest people in the house would be Hania and Jovannie.

"This is my mother."

When she observed Neil's appearance and temperament, as well as his interaction with Gia, Hania was satisfied with him.

However, when Gia introduced her father and three brothers, the atmosphere became extremely awkward. This was because the four men with similar faces weren't smiling at all.
