Getting popular

End of the past sequel...

The wolves gathered around the alpha, howling alongside him, at the full moon.

Beta Theo couldn’t help it steal glances at Hazel’s wolf, who was in the midst of the triplets and Fay’s wolf.

He hoped the alpha didn’t have any suspicion towards her.

“Is that your pup?” Alpha Louis voice rang through the mind link to Beta Theo.

“Yes Alpha.” Beta Theo replied through the mind link.

“Her wolf is magnificent.” Alpha Louis said.

“Thank you.” Beta Theo nodded at the alpha.

He couldn’t help but feel very relieved that the alpha’s suspicion wasn’t raised.

“Hazel.” He called her through the mind link.

“Father! This is so good!” She gushed through the mindlink, making Beta Theo smile.

“I’m glad you’re having fun.” He said.

“Yessss! I don’t want this to end.” She gushed.

“I’ll see you later.” He ended the link, as the alpha took on his paws.

The alpha suddenly went to Hazel’s wolf, circling around her, while other wolves stood in a circle to watch what was going to happen.

Beta Theo felt his heart dip, as he saw the alpha’s menacing look towards his daughter.

He stood alert, ready to fight off anyone who came as close as pulling a strand of fur from her, even if it was the alpha. He was ready to give his life for his daughter’s stead.

Hazel stared bewildered at the alpha, who kept circling around her, like a predator checking out its prey. She stared into alpha Louis terrifying eyes but felt no fear in her.

He took a step to her but she didn’t cower in fear, rather she stood stable and tall, ready for any challenge that’ll come her way.

The alpha growled at her, but she still stood still, not flinching for even a moment.

All of a sudden she heard howls from all the wolves around her, getting her more confused, although they sounded happy.

“Welcome to the pack officially Hazel.” The alpha mind linked her.

She gave a proud nod and stared around the other wolves who stared at her in appraisal.

Only very few wolves could stand the growl of the alpha and not cower in fear. She had just become one of the few who could stand her ground.

Thoughts of being the beta of the triplets made her howl for joy, as she knew she’d be capable to take care of the pack as the second in command, in the territory.

The night was far spent as they dispersed to various places. Some to explore the woods more, some who were mates already, found a spot to mate, as it was said that the moon goddess blesses with pup, any wolf who mates directly under the full moon. While some, just like her, headed back to the pack house, to retire for the day.

“That was so fun.” Hazel said, as she landed on the mansion’s entrance in her human form.

“Yeah right.” Fay replied, falling beside her in her human form.

“I wish this could be done more often.”Hazel gushed.

“Sadly, it can’t. Our wolves are only allowed out during the full moon or when we want to train or when extremely necessary.” Fay said.

“That’s sad.” Hazel whined. “This babies are pose to be let out at every chance they get.” She said.

“You’re just excited cause it’s your first time. Trust me you’ll get tired of it at some point.” Fay said.

“For some reason, it doesn’t feel like my first time. It feels like I’ve done this before, but I can’t comprehend where exactly. I tend to get a terrible migraine if I try to think about it.” Hazel said.

“Should probably be in your dreams. Maybe your wolf appeared to you there.” Fay shrugged. “Let’s get inside. It’s getting chilly. And yes I’m sleeping over.” Fay answered to Hazel’s unsaid question, making her leap for joy.

Hazel couldn’t stop talking about the night even after they tucked into the bed. Fay blocked her ears with a pillow at some point just so she won’t get to listen to Hazel’s unending gush.

Finally, after few exciting hours for Hazel, and excruciating for Fay, they both fell asleep.

“Need a ride to school?” Ives, Ryan and Clare called at once from the limo they were in, to Hazel who stood right before the mansion, with Fay by her side.

“Sure.” She smiled, pulling Fay with her into the limo.

They both sat opposite side from the triplets. Hazel took a look round the limo for the first time and commended on how exquisite it was.

“Woah, is that a fridge?” Fay asked in awe, pointing to the fridge which sat at the side in the limo.

“Yep.” Ryan replied.

“Can I have a look?” Fay reached out to the fridge handle before anyone responded, pulling it open.

“Woah.” She gushed out, on seeing the variety of drinks and snacks filled in each of the compartment.

“Hey, don’t touch that.” Ives who was more closer to the fridge, slapped Fay’s hand off the snack and closed the fridge door immediately.

“Hmmph.” Fay huffed, folding her hands and loling the other way.

“Can I please have water, I’m thirsty.” Hazel asked, looking at the now closed fridge.

“You can have mine.” Ives said, pulling open the fridge.

“You can have mine.” Ryan offered.

“You can take my drink instead.” Clare offered.

“Hey that’s not fair!” Fay whined at the preferential treatment given to Hazel.

“Thank you.” Hazel smiled, as she got the bottle of water from Ives hand.

“You’re welcome.” He smiled broadly, putting it to his brothers that she choose his first.

“Here.” Hazel handed over the rest of the water to Fay, who didn’t like the new development.

“I want a pack of juice.” Fay rolled her eyes like a three year old.

“Girls.” Ryan whined.

“You can have mine.” Clare opened up the fridge and pulled out a pack of juice from the third compartment and handed it over to Fay who felt like she’d burst at the shades of red she had blushed into.

“You didn’t have to.” Fay said shyly, as she took the juice from his hand, brushing her fingers on his lightly.

“Eww. You both should get a room.” Ives rolled his eyes in disgust.

“Eww. No, I don’t like her that way, I was only being polite.” Clare said, taking his seat back.

Hazel noticed that Fay had suddenly grown quiet, she turned over to see that she had her face fell and was playing her hand around the juice box Clare gave to her.

“I don’t think I need it anymore.” Fay said, dropping it back to the fridge. She turned over to the other side and they all sat in silence for the rest of the trip to school.

“We are here kids.” The driver announced, stopping the car right before their school.

Fay was the first to rush out, next to Ryan, Clare, Hazel and finally Ives.

Everyone at the car park and school entrance had a bewildered expression on their faces as five of them walked into the school entrance.

Hazel didn’t fail to notice the camera flashes that came their way.

“Hey Fay.” Hazel got close to her and draped her hand over her shoulder. “I’m sure he didn’t mean it that way.” She said, referring to the encounter back in the car.

“Nah, it’s fine Hazel. You don’t need to cover up for him. I totally understand when and where I’m not wanted.” Fay said, still looking sad, as they made their way to class.

“Then you shouldn’t let that spoil your mood for the day. Don’t let him win.” Hazel said, trying to cheer her up.

“I don’t know why I just keep having crushes on really stupid boys.” Fay admitted.

“Hold on, you have a crush on Clare?” Hazel covered her mouth in awe.

“Not anymore.” Fay shook her head, as they got into class.

A group of people from the class suddenly rushed to Hazel’s side, pushing Fay aside, as they began bombarding Hazel.

“Hey Hazel.”

“Nice shoes you got there.”

“Oh my god Hazel, what products do you use on your hair, it’s so beautiful and silky.”

“Hazel will you come for my party?”

“Let’s get our nails done Hazel.”

“Can I take a selfie with you Hazel?”

“Would you like to go shopping with me Hazel, dong worry, I’ll foot the bills.”

Hazel got overwhelmed and had no idea on how to manage the situation as they all enclosed on her, giving her no space to breathe.

She kept saying yes to their questions just so they’ll go away, but it seemed to attract them more, like ants to sugar.

Hazel didn’t understand how she grew popular overnight, when just the week before, she was amongst the least in the food chain, bullied and threaded on, though with the help of Richard, she had attained a certain social status, but it was trampled upon by the same Richard. But today, she seemed to be the superhero of a show.

Speaking of Richard, she hadn’t seen him since after the incident which the triplets got involved. Not that she cared though.

She couldn’t be more relieved that when the science teacher got into class, making those who gathered around her, disperse to their various seats.

She turned to Fay, who gave her a sorry smile and mouthed that she should start getting use to it.

Not so long after, she felt a tap on her back, with a folded paper beside.

She unfolded the paper and threw her head back in frustration.

She turned the paper over, so Fay could see what was written.

You can come have my seat if you want.

Roy. . .

_

Hazel folded the note and created a fake gun with her fingers, corked it and placed it on her head, blowing it off and throwing her head back at the impact.

Fay giggled at her description and mouthed a sorry to her.

Fay and Hazel made their way in the cafeteria, with their food trays in their hands, searching for a suitable table.

“Hey Fay, over her.” Sophie and her minions called her to their table.

Hazel quirked a brow at them and kept on moving.

“Hazel, over here!” A few others called to her and she either ignored them completely or gave a wave that she wasn’t interested in joining them.

“Hazel, why don’t you join us.” Ives called her to his table, where he, Ryan and a few others sat.

“Nah, I’ll pass.” She said, as Fay trailed her behind.

“See Clare over there.” Hazel pointed happily to the table Clare sat alone. “Let’s go there.”

“I don’t want to go there.” Fay whined.

“Hey. Don’t make what happened earlier a big deal, I’m sure he didn’t mean it.” Hazel pulled her to the table Clare sat.

“Hey, can we join you.” Hazel said, as she dropped her tray on the table, crossing her leg to sit on the bench.

“Yeah, sure.” Clare said, adjusting his tray, so she could fit in hers.

“Hey Fay.” Clare smiled at her, making her insides churn.

“Hey.” She said, placing her tray on the table soon.

“Your wolf suddenly made you popular eh.” Clare commented, chuckling.

“You don’t know half of it.” Hazel groaned.

“I miss being invisible already.” She whined.

“Can we join you guys?” Ives asked, taking a seat, alongside Ryan without actually getting a go ahead.

“Are you going to eat that?” Ryan pointed at the streaks at Fay’s plate.

“Yea—“

Ryan stabbed his fork on a steak and putting it in his mouth before she could complete her sentence.

“Hey!” Fay screamed out. “My steaks!” She yelled out.

“Mhmm. So yummy.” Ryan licked around his lips as he chewed on it.

“That’s not fair!” She pointed her at him.

“So how’s your popular life going?” Ives asked Hazel.

“I want to disappear.”

“Get use to it.” Both Clare and Ryan chorused together.
