EVOLET
"The Vampires are no where around the pack. They are gone," Trent shared, shutting the curtain close.
The guys just came back from their search.
Trent, who was more interested about the Vampires, found no trace of them, while Cadell on the other hand, had to cleanse my energy from around, just to keep the sorceress off my trail like always.
After Trent shared that info with us, Cadell suggested immediately, looking uncomfortable, "It's best we leave this place tonight, once the pack is silent."
"Tonight? Why not morning?" I asked, drawing closer to Mom and Derby.
He glanced at our direction then at the window, replying to my question, "Your aura was too much, Eve. You stayed too long with your wolf's energy flowing around Brook Wave. I'm sure Sorceress Thelma and the Queen will come down here to search for you."
That made a lot of sense to me.
After connecting with that old lady's mind and hearing her horrifying and painful scream, they must be rushing down here to get me.
"He's right. We need to leave," Mom supported Cadell's plan.
"If we choose to stay till morning, Queen Chriselda and that witch would have gotten to the pack before we make a move."
"Not just that. A few people saw your face, Evolet. What if they describe your face to the Queen?" Derby pointed that out as well, reminding me of my action outside that building.
This got me feeling troubled.
I had to look at Cadell for a way out.
Pervy Wolf was swift to understand my body language, so he said, "I'm sure they can't give a full description if Evolet didn't show her face to them for too long."
That relieved me.
"But it's best we leave tonight."
"Are we heading back to Wolf Fall? That means my week break will be over," Mom pointed that out, showing no interest in returning back home.
That's when Trent made a better suggestion which I viewed as the special moment he has been looking for. "How about my pack?" He smiled, glancing at us.
"It's safer there. And since you guys are my special guests, and you will get all the comfort you need. That private moment you've always been dreaming off, I'll give it to you," Trent said, mostly tabling the offer to Mom like it's a business deal.
My mother, who didn't give a damn about the location, agreed instantly.
"Get your bags, we are moving," she said, hurrying back to her room to gather her things.
I saw the excitement in Trent's eyes, as he proudly placed his arm on Cadell's shoulder, saying to Pervy Wolf, "And you said I won't get this opportunity anytime soon. Who's laughing now?"
Cadell squinted at Trent but did nothing to him. He just smirked and rolled his gaze to my direction, meeting with my eyes.
He winked at me, causing my face to flush.
I noticed Trent's eyes falling on Derby. The moment he gave a smile and made an attempt to approach her, Derby shivered and pulled me along with her to the closet, suggesting we pack up fast.
"We need to be quick," she said, maintaining a straight face right inside the wardrobe.
"Goodness, she's not out of the shock. Her behavior will only make Trent feel bad," I viewed, looking back to see Kitty staring at her.
Just as I suspected, he wasn't happy with Derby's mood.
Cadell had to pat Trent on the head like a child, with a mocking smile on his face. And that only made Kitty glare at Pervy wolf angrily.
Funnily, Cadell's action cheered Trent. It calmed his mood.
But as for Derby… She was still in her shell.
.
After gathering our stuffs, we left Brook Wave by sneaking into the forest that midnight.
It's the only path that connects to any other place, since roads leading to packs that aren't werewolves had been taken down by the Wolves a long time ago.
To make our trip faster, Cadell had to take Mom and I in his hold, while Derby, who had no other choice, went with Trent.
I made that decision to help get those two talking again. It was the best idea I had.
We journeyed through the woods for almost an hour, until we arrived at the entrance of Trent's pack.
Six guards who where in their beast forms, spotted us and thought we were enemies. But on seeing Trent… "Alpha, you're back!" They bowed, giving way for us to come into the city.
We didn't have to walk fully into the pack when two cars came parking next to us, revealing to be Trent's vehicles and his men behind the wheels.
"Waw!" I exclaimed, impressed with someone's taste.
"Alpha indeed! I'm going to take that beauty in front," Cadell selected his choice without hesitating, taking hold of my hand and pulling me along.
"Wait, what about Mom?" I asked.
"I'm taking the second. I've always wanted to ride in one of these cars," Mom followed, rushing up to the car behind the first.
She didn't mind if Cadell and I were going together in a different vehicle. She looked free!
Derby had wanted to join us, but I immediately told her to go into the car with Mom and Trent.
She gave out a sigh and shyly agreed, acting weird.
Trent went in with Derby and Mom, before we made our move.
"First time I'll be stepping into the land of the Werecats. The place is indeed beautiful like Trent had described!"
I was admiring the quiet night, wondering how it'd be in the morning. That's when Mr Clingy pulled me into his arms, ignoring the person behind the wheel.
"Finally alone with my Girl," he hummed, burying his face on my shoulder.
"Sorry I took long to show up when you called. Someone wouldn't allow the pets out of her house," he said, referring to the seamstress.
Hearing that, I asked, "I hope you and Trent didn't kill her?"
"Nah, we just gave her a little fright and ran away," he answered.
But I didn't believe his story.
"Mom called her this night. She said you, meaning you, not Trent, almost killed her when she refused to let you out of her house. So, what do you have to say for yourself, Wolfy?" I questioned, lifting my gaze at Cadell.
He zoned out for a few seconds and came out chuckling. "Right, that is true. I almost sent her through the wall when she threatened to wipe the stubbornness out of me. Ha! I cleared her off the ground," he laughed, feeling proud of himself.
I gasped, laughing along with Cadell.
I knew she won't last a week with the guys, especially with this stubborn man.
But I'm happy that he came when I called.
I can't help but feel so much love for him after what Mom said back there.
It only makes Cadell more attractive and beautiful.
"At least I'm here now." He wrapped his arms around my body, planting a kiss on my cheek.
I leaned right in his arms, feeling his warmth.
Arriving at Trent's beautiful mansion, the Alpha introduced us to his Beta, who was stunned to meet us.
"Werewolves?" He had uttered, feeling uncomfortable.
"They aren't any werewolves, but my close friends. You don't have to be afraid," he said, calming the mind of his Beta.
The latter nodded and welcomed us. He even offered to take us to our rooms, but Trent took that offer up instead.
"I'll handle that. You can go now."
"As you wish, Alpha." His Beta bowed, walking away.
Trent took us upstairs and showed us all the doors leading to his well arranged and unoccupied bedrooms.
He gave us the go ahead to pick the one we want.
"We're taking that one," Cadell picked for the both of us quickly.
Hearing the word we, my body shivered.
I looked towards Mom's direction and saw the way she smirked cunningly, saying nothing.
When he made an attempt to take me into the room, my body reacted.
I rushed behind Mom with a red face and said to Cadell, "Mom and I are staying together."
"You and who?" Mom questioned, moving out of the way with speed.
"I came here for a peaceful and private relaxation. I won't be doing any motherly duty. As from today, I have moved all responsibilities to Cadell. She's your problem from now on." Mom dusted her palms right in my front!
She can't be serious! What does she mean by moved all responsibilities to Pervy wolf?!
"I like your spirit," Cadell backed Mom, wrapping his arm around my shoulder!
"Um, you mean for this week right?" I asked, feeling the heat all over my body.
But Mom just smiled and cat walked to one of the rooms, giving me no answer.
"Just for a week, right?!"
Still no reply.
Crap! Did Mom just abandon me with Cadell?
Like she's fine if we stay in the same room?!
"It's just you and me," Pervy wolf whispered, running his finger down on my cheek.
That made my body vibrate. I felt like exploding right there!
Derby and Trent soon left, leaving Cadell and I behind.
My crazy pervy wolf didn't hesitate to pull me into the room, getting all cozy with me.
"We have a whole week to ourselves. Enjoy it," he flirted.
Though I was stunned by Mom's action, I still couldn't resist Cadell's touch.
Mom has this full trust for Cadell, and didn't mind dumping her own daughter in his arms.
It's like she has waited her whole life for this day.
