Breaking bad

Oliva felt her head heavy when she opened her eyes. It seemed as if the gravity of the Earth was pulling her down onto a comfortable bed. She was startled when she realized it was dawn, and her memories flooded back into her mind. She felt a headache and couldn't remember how she had returned to her room at HQ. Oliva forced herself to turn around, searching for any clue, but the room was empty. She still felt weak, and her energy hadn't fully recovered, so she let out a heavy sigh.

The growling, the injured alpha, the arrogant defector, and Dimitri. She couldn't remember if she had been badly beaten by her husband or if he had run away. Matteo was strong and ruthless, and he wouldn't be defeated by Dimitri.

The young woman quickly lifted the blankets and felt a sharp pain in her arm where she had been struck with a dagger. She realized the wound had been cleaned and bandaged. She was only dressed in her undergarments and a large shirt that, judging by the smell, belonged to Matteo. Oliva stood up, feeling the icy floor on her feet, rising up her thin bare legs. She walked to the small table, grabbed her cellphone, and called her assistant.

"Ms. Moore, how is your stay in our tropical space?" Sophia promptly answered the call in her gentle voice. "Matteo should give me the list of wolves who have joined the Lady soon so that I can update the system."

"Yes, Sophia, I will remind him. I should also report that I had a little altercation with my cousin yesterday, so I want you to make an announcement: Dimitri Moore is sentenced to exile."

"Oh..." There was a pause, during which Oliva could only hear her assistant's breathing on the line. "I will issue the warrant immediately, ma'am. Anything else?"

"Yes, please send a helicopter. If I spend more than eighteen hours trapped in a car with Matteo, I might hang myself."

"Okay, I believe the helicopter will be ready in a few hours. I'll keep you posted."

"Thanks, Sophia." She hung up the call and crawled back onto the couch, settling in.

Oliva noticed that it was already past nine in the morning and that she had been unconscious for almost twelve hours. Suddenly, Matteo entered the room and froze when he noticed Oliva awake, wearing a somewhat unfriendly expression, and partially lying on the couch.

"Whoa, you're finally awake," the alpha said with a slight nonchalant smile, causing the young woman to look at him strangely. He turned to the corridor and brought in a small table on wheels. It was a beautiful breakfast spread, but just looking at all the fruit, juice, and bread made Oliva's stomach churn.

Matteo placed the cart in front of the couch and sat down on an armchair opposite the girl, his eyes gleaming.

Oliva sighed heavily. She despised the fact that she couldn't escape from her own husband.

"Okay, go ahead, ask," Oliva said, grabbing the water jug and pouring herself a drink. She shifted her attention away from Matteo, not wanting to show any empathy for a conversation that would undoubtedly only bring her more headaches.

"Yesterday, you used magic to defeat that alpha. How did you learn that? If the council finds out that you attacked an alpha using mysticism, your head will be on the chopping block. And it won't matter where you currently stand. Do you realize how much you've risked?" Matteo asked.

"Is he dead?" she asked in a simplistic manner.

"Yes," Matteo replied, looking away. "You struck him in a very specific spot, and he couldn't withstand the injury."

"Then it doesn't matter. It would only be risky if I didn't do the job properly," she shrugged and grabbed a fresh strawberry. She took a bite, grimaced, and promptly returned it to the jar.

"But, Oliv..."

"But nothing, Matteo. I spent a long time trying to match an alpha, but it's impossible, no matter how hard I tried. My genes would never allow it. That was the only way I found to protect myself," Oliva raised her head, staring at him firmly, not leaving any room for judgment.

Matteo nodded slowly, his gaze vacant, and swallowed his remarks. The girl was more dangerous than he could have imagined. She certainly deserved the reputation she had. Suddenly, it would be too risky to gamble with Oliva Moore's life and get away with it. Would he still be willing to take those risks?

"Your blood pressure is low; I can hear your faint heartbeat," he changed the subject, straightening his posture. "You fainted because you depleted your energy with magic. During this period, it's better not to do that. You might be vulnerable if you faint again in a forest full of renegade wolves who want your head."

Oliva snorted angrily. This gene and that damn contract only made her life more complicated.

"Damn marriage contract," she muttered to herself in frustration.

"I've lost count of how many times you've said that same phrase this week," Matteo said with a hint of irony, and she rolled her eyes. "You need to eat better, sleep better, and stop drinking gallons of alcohol if you want to go through a more controlled heat."

"Since when are you a doctor?" she raised an eyebrow. "I'm sorry, but that's impossible. If I stop drinking, I might punch you for saying stupid things like that."

"I'm serious, Oliva," Matteo changed his tone of voice. "The inhibitors, combined with the magic, may have completely suppressed your ABO nature, but now you'll feel the lost years intensely. That's dangerous even for you."

"And what do you suggest, oh knowledgeable sir?" she asked, nodding her head.

"Honestly?" he replied, looking at her intensely. "Sex."

Oliva held her breath for a moment and let out a theatrically ironic laugh to diffuse any tension that could arise.

"You swear?"

"I swear," he stated softly. "Wild sex with costumes, restraints, and whips." His voice came out husky, causing a shiver to run down the girl's spine. Just the possibility of it made Oliva's body heat up, and she felt a fierce arousal building in her core. Matteo noticed her reaction and smiled mischievously. He took the opportunity to lean his elbows on the small table and draw closer to Oliva's paralyzed face, which remained fixed on the boy's lips. "The sooner you start, the less shocking it will be when the time comes," he whispered, implying that he was willing to make such a sacrifice as soon as possible.

Oliva cursed herself vehemently. Her libido was hypersensitive to the conversation about wild sex with her fake husband, even without remembering the encounter in the car. 'Why he had to look exactly like Lian?,' she tried to forget, but the memories were so vivid that they left her burning, despite the coldness of the rainy autumn days.

"What happened to Dimitri?" she interrupted, turning away from Matteo and bracing herself against the back of the couch. Oliva's mouth felt dry, as if she hadn't just had a glass of water. Her eyes focused on a random spot in the room, avoiding direct eye contact with her husband's green eyes. "I only remember you tossing me like a rag doll through the air... Thanks for the backache!" She tried to maintain her usual implicit tone, no longer wanting to show any weakness in front of him. It was becoming pathetic.

"Hey, I did it for your well-being!" Matteo half-closed his eyes and sighed. He stood up decisively and walked around the table, causing the girl to retreat to the corner of the couch. He stopped behind her. "Where does it hurt?" He touched her shoulders carefully and gently, initiating a slow, comforting massage. For a moment, Oliva rolled her eyes just from feeling the friction of her skin against the alpha's, in a realm that was foreign to her. "Does that feel good?" He lowered himself to the level of the girl's ears and whispered huskily.

"Uh-um..." Oliva could barely articulate what she was feeling at that moment. Her vocal cords were unable to produce anything more coherent than that.

"Dimitri advanced on us, and I threw you aside to contain the attack. I managed to block it in time," he continued whispering slowly. "And at that moment, the sound of retreating howls echoed throughout most of the forest. I think the wolves who were with him had to retreat, and they all scattered. We killed three, and one was left dead while five others were severely wounded."

Oliva felt sluggish. None of the alcohol she had consumed gave her the same vibe that Matteo was giving her. She hated him for it. His words resonated in her mind, seeming both right and wrong at the same time.

"So what?" Oliva swallowed hard as she felt the strong fingers kneading the area at the back of her neck, causing her body to relax completely, surrendering to the massage.

"Then I carried you through the forest on my lap and brought you to our room," he emphasized the possessive term at the end of the sentence. Matteo made a point of constantly emphasizing the correct conjugation, implying that they had slept together, and it drove Oliva crazy in both negative and positive ways. "From there, I laid you on the bed and removed all those heavy clothes you were wearing." A warm pulsation spread through her belly, seeping through her panties. "I cleaned your wound and bandaged it." Matteo leaned a little closer to her body, pulling the collar of the young woman's shirt to the side, revealing the shoulder of her injured arm. He brought his lips to the spot and gave her a warm, lingering kiss there. Oliva bit her lip hard, suppressing a seductive moan. "Then I put one of my shirts on you because I imagined you would look extremely hot in it. And honestly, you looked absolutely delicious wearing just that." He trailed the kiss down to her bare neck and nibbled on it, fully immersed in the softness of her skin.

At this point, Oliva crossed her legs in an attempt to suppress the waves of arousal. However, the friction only heightened her desire, causing her to release a fair amount of natural lubrication.

"So, you undressed me..." she spoke between breathless sighs. Matteo interspersed bites and kisses on the girl's sensitive neck. "And then you stared at me in just lingerie?" It was a provocative question that sounded almost innocent, further igniting the intoxicating tension that had once again enveloped them. "You're such a damn pervert..." She practically moaned those trembling words.

Oliva couldn't resist any longer.

And Matteo loved the fact that he was making sure the young woman could sink into the sea of lust he was providing her. He would make her bag for more.

The boy slips one hand up the back of Oliva's neck and grabs her hair by the roots, pulling her head back with light brutality. He drags his lips to her earlobe and runs his tongue over there.

"You are my wife." He states with a deep voice rubbing his nose behind the young woman and increases the pressure of his hand on Oliva's hair forcing her further back. "By law, I can see you even without clothes."

Oliva ajar her eyes completely helpless and powerless. Her breathing was already panting, and her open lips held a moan trapped in her throat, her hands were gripping the bar of her shirt tightly and pulling them to the sides almost tearing the fabric, trying to control her anxiety to fuck as fast as possible.

"Then rip those fucking rags off my body."
