Chapter 50 50

Chapter 50 50
“And then, he wrote me a letter saying he was okay with me being like that. He also said… he was sorry, he wasn’t patient enough to stay. He also said… I should take care of myself, that he’d always be watching from wherever he was now, and that I didn’t need to be afraid anymore.”

Azxel’s voice cracked on the last word as he read the note aloud in his head for the third time, the paper trembling between his fingers. It had been there when he woke up in the morning, folded once, placed carefully on the edge of his pillow.

Suprisenly, he recognized Jaelen’s handwriting. The room had been empty and Jaelen was gone. His bed was already made, his things were missing, except the few shirts he left on his wardrobe.

It was like Jaelen never existed there at all. It was only tge few shirts that could give away that someone stayed there.

Azxel hadn’t cried then. He’d just sat on the mattress with the letter in his lap, staring at the wall Jaelen used to lean against, feeling the silence press in from every corner.

Now, hours later, he was somewhere else entirely. The common room was dim, lit only by the late afternoon sun bleeding through half closed blinds.

Sky sat beside him on the sagging couch, close enough that their thighs touched. His arm was draped along the backrest, his fingers idly brushing the nape of Azxel’s neck in slow, deliberate circles.

“We are okay without him, right?” Sky leaned in to Azxel’s ear, whispering, his voice low and soft. He made a small clicking sound with his tongue against his teeth, playful and almost affectionate, followed by a soft, sniffly chuckle that always melted something inside Azxel “It’s just you and me now.”

Azxel didn’t answer right away. His gaze was fixed on the crumpled letter still clutched in his hand. The paper had gone soft from how many times he had folded and unfolded it, but refused to read it.

Sky’s fingers paused. “Hey,” he murmured, tilting his head to catch Azxel’s eyes. “Look at me.”

Azxel did, slowly, without resistance. His face was pale, his eyes were red rimmed and glassy, the split in his lower lip scabbed over. He looked fragile in a way that made Sky’s smile sharpen just slightly at the edges.

“You don’t need him,” Sky continued, his voice gentle and coaxing. “He left because he couldn’t handle it, he couldn’t handle you.” His thumb traced the line of Azxel’s jaw, feather- light. “But I can. I’m still here.”

Azxel swallowed. His throat felt raw. “He said he was sorry,” Azxel whispered, barely audible.

Sky’s expression didn’t change, but something deadly flickered behind his eyes before he returned to his normal psychopathic smile. “Yeah?” He leaned closer, his lips almost brushing Azxel’s ear again, letting out another soft sniffly chuckle that sent a shiver down Azxel’s spine, the one Azxel had always secretly craved. “People say a lot of things when they’re walking out the door but that doesn’t mean they mean it.”

Azxel’s fingers loosened around the letter immediately. Sky noticed. His hand drifted down, closing over Azxel’s with ease, gently prying the paper away. Azxel let it go without a fight, like he always did when Sky wanted something.

Sky smoothed it out on his knee, scanning the words once, quickly. Then he folded it again smaller this time and tucked it into his own pocket.

“You don’t need this anymore,” he said softly, his voice wrapping around Azxel like a blanket. “It’s just guilt. He couldn’t stay, so he wrote something pretty to make himself feel better about leaving you behind.”

Azxel stared at Sky’s pocket for only a second before his gaze drifted back up, drawn irresistibly to Sky’s face. The hollow in his chest didn’t fight it. It never really had.

Sky shifted, turning fully toward him now, one knee pulled up on the couch. He cupped Azxel’s face with both hands, thumbs wiping away the fresh tears that had started to fall without Azxel noticing.

“I’m not going anywhere,” Sky whispered, another little sniffly chuckle escaping him as he nuzzled closer. “You hear me? You’re mine now. You don’t have to beg me to stay.”

He pressed a slow, deliberate kiss to Azxel’s forehead, lingering there, breathing him in.
Azxel closed his eyes. His hands came up to clutch at Sky’s wrists not pulling away, just holding on, sinking deeper.

That sound Sky made— the soft, teasing click, the sniffly little laugh, it unraveled him every time. It always had. It was the hook Azxel had swallowed long ago, the one he never wanted to spit out.

Sky’s mouth moved from Azxel’s forehead to the corner of his eye, tasting the salt of tears there, then down to the scabbed split in his lip. He lingered, pressing harder until Azxel whimpered a small, needy sound that went straight through Sky like heat.

Azxel’s hands slid from Sky’s wrists to his shoulders, clutching fistfuls of his shirt, pulling him closer without thinking. He always did that. He always gave in the moment Sky pushed.

Sky made that sound again, the soft sniffly chuckle against Azxel’s mouth, teasing and delighted. “There you are,” he whispered. “My good boy.”

The words undid Azxel completely. He surged up, kissing Sky desperately, messy and open mouthed, tasting cigarette smoke and the faint metallic tang of his own blood.

Sky let him for a moment, let him chase, then took control with his hand fisting in Azxel’s hair, yanking his head back to expose his throat.

Azxel gasped, arching, his thighs partied instinctively as Sky shifted to straddle him on the couch. The weight of him pinned Azxel down, solid and inescapable, and Azxel moaned into it, his hips rolling up without permission.

“Needy already,” Sky murmured, his teeth grazing the frantic pulse in Azxel’s neck. He bit down harshly marking the pale skin with a bloom of red that made Azxel cry out, sharp and broken. “You always are when you’re like this. When you’re scared someone’s going to leave.”

Azxel’s nails dug into Sky’s back through his shirt. “Don’t—” he started, voice cracking.
“I won’t,” Sky promised, dark and low, as he chuckled grinding down slowly, so Azxel could feel how hard he already was. “Not like he did. I’m going to fuck you until you forget his name.”

He shoved Azxel’s shirt up, his mouth latching onto a nipple, sucking hard enough to expand the bruise. Azxel keened, his back bowing off the couch, his legs wrapping around Sky’s waist to pull him closer.

Sky’s hand slid between them, palming Azxel roughly through his pants, feeling him throb and leak already. “Well, well, well. Look at you,” Sky breathed, his voice ragged now. “Soaked for me. You’ve been waiting for this all day, haven’t you? Ever since you woke up alone.”

Azxel nodded frantically, tears slipping fresh down his temples into his hair. “Please—”

Sky didn’t make him wait. He yanked Azxel’s pants down just enough, freeing him, then his own. Then without prep, he put in two fingers pushing in rough and fast. Azxel sobbed, his thighs trembling, but pushed back onto them greedily, always greedy for whatever Sky gave.

“That’s it,” Sky growled, scissoring, stretching, adding a third without warning. Azxel’s cry was loud enough to echo in the empty room, but neither cared. “Take it. Take everything I give you.”

When Sky finally pushed inside, it was in one long, deep, claiming brutal thrust enough to split Azxel open. Azxel screamed into Sky’s shoulder, biting down to muffle it, his body shaking with the overwhelming stretch and burn.

Sky didn’t stop. He fucked Azxel hard and fast, his hips snapping, and the couch creaking beneath them. Every thrust drove Azxel up the cushions, his hands scrabbling for purchase, tears streaming freely now from the intensity of being wanted this much.

“Mine,” Sky snarled against his ear, one hand wrapped around Azxel’s throat, squeezing just enough to make his vision spark. “Say it.”

“Yours,” Azxel choked out, his voice wrecked. “Yours—please—Sky—”

Sky’s rhythm stuttered at the sound of his name like that. He slammed in deeper, angling just right, and Azxel came untouched with a broken wail, clenching hard around him, spilling between their stomachs.

Sky followed seconds later, burying himself to the hilt and spilling hot inside, his teeth sunk into Azxel’s shoulder to muffle his own groan.

They stayed like that panting, sweat slick, trembling. Sky didn’t pull out. He just shifted enough to keep his weight from crushing Azxel, his face buried in his neck, breathing him in.

Azxel’s arms wrapped around him weakly, holding on like he was afraid Sky might vanish if he let go. Sky pressed a harsh kiss to the bite mark he’d left.

“I’ve got you,” he whispered. “Always.”
Sky chuckled after whispering his fake promises, and Azxel believed him, completely.
