Mateo finally wrestled the phone out of Silas’s grip, glaring at him as he swiped to answer.
“Hello?” he snapped, voice low .

On the other end, a woman’s voice—professional, calm, but edged with urgency—spoke:
“Mr. Woods? This city Hospital. We’ve been trying to reach you. It’s about Silas—he’s nowhere to be found from his ward. We—”

Silas, sitting pretty on his lap, chose that exact moment to drag his lips down Mateo’s throat, teeth grazing skin, his hand sliding far too low for comfort.

Mateo’s eyes shot wide. He tried to suck in a steady breath, but what came out was a strangled groan. “Ah—” He quickly covered it with a cough. “I-I mean… what about him?”

The nurse hesitated. “…Mr. Woods? Are you… okay?”

Silas bit back a laugh against his collarbone, whispering hotly, “Answer her, baby.”

Mateo’s fist clenched against the cushion, his entire body trembling as he tried to maintain his composure.
“Yes,” he ground out, his voice dangerously hoarse. “I’m… fine.”

Silas rocked his hips just enough to make Mateo nearly lose it.

The nurse’s voice sharpened with suspicion. “You sound… breathless.”

Mateo shut his eyes, teeth gritted, trying not to curse aloud. Meanwhile, Silas smirked wickedly against his skin, biting back his own laughter.

The nurse’s voice came firm through the receiver.
“Mr. Woods, listen carefully—we’ve confirmed Silas is missing from his room. We checked every corridor, every—”

At that exact moment, Silas ground down against him, pulling his trousers and unlocking his zipper breathlessly bringing out his dick..

A low, guttural moan ripped out of Mateo’s chest before he could stop it. His head snapped back against the cushion, breath shuddering. “Mmm—”

The line went dead silent.

“…Mr. Woods?” the nurse asked slowly, suspicion dripping into her tone. “Are you… sure you’re—”

Mateo’s hand shot up, slamming the call off with a vicious swipe, the phone clattering to the floor. His chest heaved, sweat beading at his temple. He glared up at Silas, whose smirk was nothing short of sinful.

“You little—” Mateo’s voice broke, half fury, half raw desire. He yanked Silas down by the back of his neck, their foreheads colliding. “You made me moan in a goddamn hospital call.”

Silas only laughed breathlessly, brushing his lips across Mateo’s jaw. “Guess they don’t need to keep looking for me anymore, huh?”

Mateo’s body shook, torn between rage and the fire clawing down his spine.

Mateo’s patience snapped like glass. In one fierce move, he grabbed Silas by the hips, flipping them so fast Silas’s back hit the cushion with a soft thud.

Now Mateo loomed above him, his body caging him in, raw power radiating off every line of muscle. His eyes, still glistening from earlier tears, burned down into Silas’s face.

“Why the hell would I ever cheat…” he growled, pressing his palm flat against Silas’s chest, feeling the frantic heartbeat beneath. “…when I’ve got the prettiest boy alive right here?”

His voice softened, breaking into reverence as his gaze roamed.
“Those eyes…” His thumb traced beneath Silas’s lashes. “The way they cut into me. No one else has eyes like that.”

His hand drifted lower, skimming Silas’s trembling throat, his jaw tightening as if he couldn’t believe what he was touching. “This mouth…” He hovered, staring at lips that had just mocked, teased, and destroyed him over the phone. “Made for driving me insane.”

Mateo bent lower, breath mingling with Silas’s, his tone both promise and threat.
“You’re mine, Silas. All mine. No woman, no man, nobody else gets this. You’re my property, my addiction, my—”

He broke off, lips crashing down, devouring him like he’d die without the taste.

Mateo’s kiss deepened, hungry and desperate, his hands sliding down to grip Silas’s thighs as if anchoring him to the world. He tore his mouth away just long enough to rasp against his ear, voice breaking with raw devotion:

“Do you even know what you do to me? Why would I ever look at anyone else… when I’ve got this?”

His gaze devoured him, every inch. He kissed along Silas’s jaw, down the curve of his throat, sucking hard enough to leave his mark. “You’re mine. You’ll always be mine.”

Silas arched beneath him, trembling, the heat pooling in his body undeniable. His fingers clawed at Mateo’s shoulders, breathless.

Mateo pulled back, his eyes dark and burning, but soft all at once. He tilted Silas’s face up, whispering almost reverently—
“Look at you. The prettiest boy in the world. My boy.”

The room was quiet save for their mingled breaths and the soft rustle of sheets.

Silas lay sprawled against Mateo’s chest, his cheek pressed over the steady thrum of his heartbeat. His skin still tingled.

Mateo’s arm was wrapped firmly around him, holding him in place as though he might disappear again if he let go.

With his other hand, he slowly brushed through Silas’s damp hair.

“You drive me crazy, you know that?” Mateo whispered, his voice rough.

Silas’s lips curled faintly, his eyes fluttering shut. “Good. Means I’m doing my job right.”

Mateo huffed a quiet laugh, pressing a kiss to the crown of Silas’s head. “Idiot. I’m serious.” His hand paused in Silas’s hair, fingers threading gently. “Don’t ever scare me like that again. I thought I’d lost you.”

Silas shifted, his own fingers tracing lazy patterns across Mateo’s chest. His voice was softer now, almost shy. “I wasn’t trying to… I just—I missed you.”

Mateo’s chest tightened, his grip pulling Silas closer. “Then stay. Stay right here. I don’t need anyone else. Just you.”

Silas shifted a little higher on his chest, chin resting just under Mateo’s jaw so he could hear him more clearly.

Mateo’s hand never stopped brushing his hair, fingertips soft.“You know what terrifies me?” he murmured, eyes fixed on the ceiling as if afraid to look down and see the answer already written in Silas’s face.

“What?” Silas’s voice was hushed, curious.

“That one day,” Mateo said, voice breaking around the words, “you’ll finally realize you deserve better than me. That you’ll walk away and never come back. And I won’t be able to stop you, no matter how much I beg.”

Silas’s breath caught. He pressed a hand over Mateo’s heart, as if to ground him. “You think I’d leave after that?” he teased softly, but then his tone sobered. “Mateo… you’re the only person who’s ever made me feel wanted like this. Not just wanted—seen.”

Mateo finally looked down, his gaze heavy with emotion. He traced Silas’s cheek with his knuckles, whispering, “Seen? Silas, you’re the only one who’s ever made me feel human. Everyone else looks at me like I’m a weapon. You look at me like I’m a man.”

Silas kissed his chest, slowly. “Because that’s who you are to me.”

Mateo exhaled shakily, tugging him closer, their foreheads touching. “God, you’re going to kill me one day. The way you look at me… the way you give yourself to me.” His lips brushed Silas’s ear. “I don’t deserve it. But I’ll spend every damn day trying to.”

Silas smiled faintly, eyes closing, letting Mateo’s warmth swallow him whole. “Then we’re even. Because I’ll keep reminding you why you do.”

Mateo kissed him then—
