Chris's eyes couldn't leave Leo who was lying in a coma on the bed. Two weeks had passed, but there was no sign that Leo would wake up from his coma.

"Doctor Chris, Mr. Maverick and Mr. Walter want to meet!" A nurse said asking him to immediately meet the two guests who had arrived.

Chris nodded slowly then walked towards the door. In front of the ICU room, Pierre and Bryan stood with tense expressions on their faces which made it possible to guess that they were in a bad mood.

"How is Leo's condition? Is there any progress?"

Chris shook his head hesitantly, he wasn't sure that he could explain to them Leo's true condition.

"When will the trial be held?"

"Soon! We visited hervyesterday and she seemed pretty stable."

"Thank God."

"Leo's condition? Can you tell us?" Pierre asked. He felt that Chris was trying to hide something from them.

"I can't say for sure, the doctors and nurses have tried their best. But the results don't seem to have made any significant progress. His injuries were too serious, dozens of bones were broken and pierced his heart, his intestines were perforated by a bullet. His head also suffered a serious injury. If Leo manages to get through his critical period, he will definitely be disabled for the rest of his life. He will probably lose most of his brain and nerve abilities. "If Leo manages to get through his critical period, as a friend, will you help care for him or will you leave him?" Bryan asked. Chris and Pierre were quite surprised by Bryan's question because it seemed like there was a special meaning he wanted to convey.

Chris was silent for a moment and tried to digest Bryan's question carefully. He knew that Bryan seemed to be thinking about what they should do if Leo managed to get past his critical period and live as a different person. Who will take care of Leo? "I'll take care of him." Pierre said calmly. He doesn't feel that caring for a friend who means a lot to him is a burden. Even though their relationship was strained for one reason or another, this time he will try to fix everything as long as Leo stays alive.

"Pierre, are you sure?"

"Leo is our friend, right? And we shouldn't just leave him like that. Lucia probably thought that way when she found out that we were captured by men in the forest. Bryan looked at Leo who was lying behind the glass, his eyes were wet and flashes of childhood memories he spent with Leo came back to his mind.
