Epilogue

Epilogue
Lucia opened her eyes as the pain and tightness filled all the senses in her body. A piece of memory that previously seemed to her to be an insignificant memory, now actually makes her realize that there has always been a boy who loved him so much.

In the past, she never knew what love was because the only thing she wanted was to be recognized as a child by her father. In the past, she never considered Leo equal or worthy enough because of the tragic life Leo had experienced since childhood.

She realized that she never gave Leo a chance just because Leo wouldn't be able to give her everything she wanted.

Her tears flowed freely and her cries filled the originally silent room. Bryan and Pierre immediately rushed to her after realizing that she had woken up from fainting.

"Are you okay?"

"Leo...! Please don't leave me! Please, please! I can't live without you! I beg you...! Please!"

Pierre hugged her tightly and let her cry uncontrollably. Meanwhile, Bryan was still standing in the doorway with the doctor who was checking Lucia's condition.

"Mrs. Peterson had better-"

"Mrs. Romano, Romano is her husband's family. Call her by that name!"

"Okay, Mr. Walter. I think Mrs. Romano was informed about her pregnancy immediately, so that she can take good care of her health."

"I understand, thank you, Doctor!" He said as he walked over to Lucia who was still crying in Pierre's arms.

"Lucia, listen to me! I know you are very hurt. But there is one thing you have to know, you are pregnant!"

"What?"

"The child you are carrying is his, right?"

"I am pregnant?"

"You are going to be a mother, so be strong!"

"I am pregnant?"

Lucia still couldn't believe what Bryan said. She's pregnant? Yes, she didn't think about the possibility that she would get pregnant at difficult times like these.

"Lucia, I beg you to be strong! Whatever happens, we will not leave you!" Pierre said.

"But how can I look after my baby in this place, Pierre! I-"

"You don't need to worry about that! After your baby is born, I will take care of him. I promise you, I will look after the child for you and for Leo."

What do you expect from a friend's relationship?

What is loyalty?
Or devotion?

Friends are people who are not related by blood, but can love each other so much, even more than brothers. A friend is someone who is always with you in your ups and downs and chooses to stay with you always.

"Congratulations, Lucia? Finally you are free today. We will definitely miss you!"

"If you have time, don't forget to visit us here, okay?"

"Of course, I will definitely visit you. You all must always take care of your health!" She said. She packed up her belongings and put it in a bag.

"You forgot this photo!" Said a woman while handing over a photo of a toddler boy with amber eyes.

"Thanks, I almost forgot!" Lucia smiled every time she looked at the photo. It had been a week since they last saw each other, her longing was getting more and more unbearable.

"It must be hard to lose the opportunity to care for your son? But it's okay, starting today you can hug him whenever you want."

"You're right, from now on I will hug him and I promise I will never let go of my hug." She said while kissing the photo, then she put it back in her bag.

It has been three years since she had to serve her sentence and now it is time to breathe free air.

Some women who were her detention roommates accompanied her to the front of the door when a guard picked her up.

"Take care of yourself!" Said Brieta, a middle-aged woman whom she considered like her own mother. A woman who gave her enthusiasm and strength while she was in this place. When her mother and her sister actually cut off all contact with her as a signal that they no longer wanted her.

"Did your family pick you up?"

"I don't know, I honestly don't have any family here."

"But those three men who are your friends? Aren't they your family?"

"They are my friends, but they also have a life they have to live. I am very happy because they have cared for and cared for Leo until now. Therefore, I don't want to burden them anymore."

"They love you?"

"Yeah, we've been friends since childhood, so-"

"They love you as a man, not just as a friend. You're lucky, you're very lucky!"

Lucia smiled slightly, she knew that she was very lucky. She has always been lucky to have them in her life.

"Yeah, I'm so lucky. See you?"

"See you, my darling! Hopefully after this, you will find happiness so beautiful that it will make you forget how painful your pain has been."

Brieta's words brought tears to her eyes. It made her remember all her life journey. She still deeply grieves over the loss of the love of her life, but life must go on and now she has a son who she must love with all her heart.

After saying goodbye, Lucia picked up her bag and walked accompanied by two guards towards the courtyard of the prison building where she had been detained for the past three years.

As the air of freedom began to enter her lungs, tears streamed down her face. Happy and sad, all gathered into one. Now she doesn't know how she should live her life with the fact that Leo will never come back. She would never hear Leo's voice again even though she missed him so much.

"I love you, Lucia."

One sentence of love that Leo had always said since they were little was the strength that made her realize that love would never disappear in her heart, but that love would continue to grow.

"Mommy...!"

Lucia opened her eyes which had been closed for a moment as she thought about Leo. She heard Molly's sweet voice calling her name melodiously. Twenty steps ahead, she saw Molly holding hands with her little brother. They ran over to her who remained motionless in her place.

"Molly?"

"Leo, go after mommy...!" Molly said. The little boy run over to het, smiling cheerfully. Lucia's heart trembled, she couldn't believe that day would come.

"M-mommy, I love you." Said the boy in his soft voice.

"Leo? Leo, I love you too, baby. I love you so much!" She hugged het son tightly and kissed him many times to relieve her longing.

"Welcome back, Mommy?"

Bryan's voice sounded and it made het eyes fall on the three figures of men who stood up and greeted her with smiles. Lucia held Molly's hand and walked over to Bryan, Pierre and Chris who were waiting for her.

"Why did you three come?"

"Why shouldn't we come? We're here to pick you up!" Bryan said.

"You guys are busy, there's no need to force yourself!"

"There's no such thing as too busy if that's what it's like for you!" Chris said.

This warm atmosphere made her want to cry again. They hugged her and she felt like home, a warm home.

"Want to go home now? I've prepared dinner for us together!" Pierre said.

"Go home to where?"

"We have decided that after this we will live together as a family."

"Family?"

"I probably didn't tell you that we have bought a house where we can live together as a family. That way we can raise Molly and Leo together!" Bryan said.

"But, what about your family and-"

"My problems with Isabella ended long ago, the child she was carrying was proven not to be mine and Bryan has also broken off his relationship with Amanda and her family. Therefore, now we are free and we only want to be with you, Lucia."

Lucia was at a loss for words, it seemed hard to believe. She couldn't believe that this was the happiness that had been waiting for her as Brieta had told her.

"Mommy, let's go home!" Said little Leo. He was starting to get bored and wanted to go home immediately.

"Yes darling! Let's go home!" Lucia kissed her little son which made her wonder, does reincarnation really exist? Is Leo now reborn and living in his son's body? Yes, no one knows.

Before returning to what would be the warmest home for her, she asked them to take her to Leo's grave. Since Leo died, she never had the chance to visit his grave.

They bought a bouquet of lavender flowers, flowers that always reminded her of Leo. With a trembling body, she tried to hold back her tears so they wouldn't spill.

In front of the grave with a tombstone bearing Leo's name, Lucia placed the bouquet of flowers while rubbing the tombstone. In the end, her tears flowed freely and this was a feeling she couldn't hold back.

"Leo, I'm coming! Sorry, I'm sorry for being so late to visit you. You must have been waiting for me, right? Three years is not a short time to wait for someone. Sorry, because I have to make you wait for me again. I'm so sorry. Leo, our son is so much like you. I named him after you, so you can live in him. His face, his eyes, his smile, he is so much like you. I promise, I will never leave our son, I promise I will give him so much love which I always gave to you. I promise, I will make him the happiest boy in the world because he has me, he also has a very sweet older sister and most importantly, he has three fathers who love him so much. You must be happy there, right? Therefore, please watch over us from up there. I will always remember you in my heart forever, I love you."
