Lost Girl (7)
Lost Girl (7)
"I'm so tired," I mumbled under my breath. In reality, I won't be able to become as strong as my father wants me to be.
Father really wanted a son, he really wanted Lucas to live, but what he got was a weak daughter like me.
"Kick the ball, Lucia...!"
I heard Leo's voice asking me to kick the ball that was rolling at my feet. I looked at the ball for a moment then kicked it with all my strength.
"Wow..."
Leo, Pierre, Bryan, Chris and all the children who were playing ball on the field were stunned when they saw how I kicked the ball so hard that it went straight into the goal.
I could see their sparkling eyes, especially Leo's. I always thought that he had very beautiful eyes. He ran to me with a happy face as if I was a hero to him.
"You're so great, Lucia! Your kicks are so strong!" Leo said. Some other boys approached me with the same expression. Meanwhile Pierre, Bryan and Chris were still standing behind there. I don't think they're that interested in flattering me.
Leo and some of the other boys asked me to join them, although Bryan refused because he didn't seem to like me. But something pushed my heart to feel a little joy because there was someone else who thought that I was quite useful and equal to other boys.
Since that day, Leo started coming to my house to invite me to play football. Pierre, who was initially indifferent, suddenly asked me to help him practice, just like Chris, who always looked scared when I came, now he is starting to accept my presence. But Bryan, this fool is still the same.
Until the day when without realizing it I had become closer to the four of them, we started playing together when the other friends couldn't play. Even at school, the five of us started to chat often, even though it was decorated with fights between me and that stupid, cowardly and useless Bryan.
"Tree House?"
"Yeah, my uncle came and he wanted to make a tree house for me." Pierre said.
He deliberately came to my house just to tell me that his uncle was going to build a tree house for him. I looked at him confused, I mean what does that tree house have to do with me?
"So what?" I asked with a flat expression. Pierre, who had worked up the courage to come to me first, looked nervous.
"That, I want that tree house to be our secret base!" He said. Pierre, who always looks calmer and more mature, can actually show his shy side too.
"Are we really that close to having a secret base?"
"I think we're close enough. Besides, I think it's really fun playing with you. If you don't want to, maybe it will just be a secret base for me, Chris, Leo and Bryan."
His eyes look sad, I have to admit, Pierre is a typical good friend and sometimes it makes me feel confused, what should I do with him? We both often find ourselves in a bit of an awkward situation because he doesn't talk much and I always have to start the conversation first.
"Okay, I want to. But there is one condition!"
"What conditions?"
"You, Leo, Chris and Bryan must be my minions from now on!"
"Your minions?"
"Yeah, I don't want to be friends with weak people like you. Since I'm the strongest, I should be the boss!"
"Hey what the hell! Who decided that?" From behind the bushes in my yard, Bryan, Leo and Chris came out.
Bryan, who was not happy, immediately approached Pierre and me with an annoyed expression. I stared at him viciously so that this fool would feel intimidated and sure enough, he immediately stepped back when I looked at him.
"You mind?" I asked.
"Of course I mind! Why do we have to be your men?"
"That's because the four of you are weak and useless!"
"What? Who are you saying is weak? I'm not weak!"
"You're weak!"
"Unforgivable, I will hit you...!"
Bryan tried to hit me with his little strength, I didn't even need to use my strength to paralyze him, I just had to hold his hand and hold it for a moment.
"It hurts-" he winced in pain when I gave his hand a little squeeze which was in boxing mode.
Without any meaningful expression, I just wanted to show him who was in power here. His face turned red from the pain and tears began to flow.
"Let go...! You're hurting my hand!" This fool whined like a baby, Pierre tried to calm him down. Meanwhile the other two cowards hid behind the bushes again after seeing what I did to their cowardly friend.
"Hey, what do you think? I'm your boss, right?" I shouted at the two losers behind the bushes.
"Y-yes!" I heard a low, indistinct response from the bushes.
"Hey, be clear...!"
"Sure, you're the boss!"
"Hahaha..."
