Heartbreak

Sofia's P.O.V:

Did I just actually hear it correctly?

Did he say "I love you" to her?

I opened the door fully which was already almost open and found their lips pressed against each other.

Did they just kiss?

Is this a nightmare?

Jack said " I love you" to Alice!

So Alice was right! Jack was using me.

Jack's eyes snapped open as soon Alice pressed her lips against his and his eyes fell on me and he pushed Alice away.

I lost my balance! And supported myself with the door frame.

He still loves Alice, he used me.

Everything he said to me was a lie.

He doesn't love me.

"Sofia, I..." Jack tried to touch me but I moved away.

Alice had a smug look on her face.

She won! In fact, she was right!

What she said was true!

She said that I would be heartbroken very soon.

"Why?" I asked tears filling my eyes.

"Sofia, listen to me please." Jack tried to come closer but I moved away again.

" Why?" I screamed and tears made their way down to my cheeks.

" Sofia, please.." Jack tried to touch my hand but I quickly moved my hands.

I didn't want him to touch me.

He doesn't love me.

He used me to forget Alice. And now Alice is back he is ready to go back to her.

Alice's previous words were banging inside my head.

My mind stopped working completely.

" Alice fucking tell her what it actually is." Jack shouted.

" You've seen with your own eyes sofia, I've told you before. Now it's all clear to you. We are going to be together again and it's your time to go away." Alice said motioning me to go out.

I trusted her words.

Because it was true what she said last time.

It must be true what she's saying now.

"What the fuck are you talking about Alice?" Jack shouted. His eyes clearly showing disbelieve.

I won't fall for this again. I've already trusted him enough.

It's actually enough. I can't bear it more.

" Sofia she's lying. Believe me. You trust me right?" Jack pleaded with his eyes.

" I *Sob* don't *sob* trust *sob* you." I said turned to leave.

"Sofia.." Jack held my biceps.

I turned around and slapped him hard on the cheek.

The sound echoed the place for a few seconds.

"Don't you dare to touch me " I shouted.

"Sofia it's not what you think." Jack said.

"Jack, why are you lying to her? You don't need her anymore. We can be together now." Alice said her voice also showed disbelief.

"Stop it Alice." Jack shouted.

"Stop lying Jack it's enough." I shouted and my eyes fell on my hand.

The ring Jack gave me.

"Sofia, please listen to me once.." Jack requested.

"I don't even want to see your face." I said and removed the ring from my hand and threw it on the ground.

It landed closer to his feet.

" Sofia give me one chance to tell you what happened. Please.." Jack said with teary eyes.

My heart started to soften seeing his tears but I didn't let myself be weak again.

I'm already used by him enough.

I don't want to be used again.

"You don't deserve a chance." With that, I ran from that place.

I gave him so many chances. He treated me so bad but still, I forgave him in just one blink.

I loved him more than my life but still, he went back to Alice who just left him all alone.

I ran faster as thousands of thoughts were coming into my head.

I could hear Jack's voice. He was calling me Continuously.

He was just behind me but I ran more quickly.

It was stumbling again and again because of the gown but I didn't fall.

As I entered the hall a few people looked at my tear-stained face but I ignored them and started running out of the place.

" Sofia what happened?" Jennie stood up from her seat.

"Sofia, wait." Violet said as I was running out of the place without even looking at them.

I heard Charles's voice calling my name but I quickly got out of that place.

I didn't know how I would reach my home but I just needed to be away from that place , away from Jack.

It was suffocating.

I heard multiple footsteps behind me as I was getting outside but I ran more quickly.

As I reached the parking lot and I fell stumbling but someone caught me before my body could hit the ground.

"Sofia.. what happened!" It was peter.

"Peter.." I cried and hugged him tightly.

"Shh..what happened Sofia?" Peter asked rubbing my back.

"He used me Peter. He used me. He used me to forget his ex. " I sobbed and a gasp escaped from his mouth.

"He still loves his ex. I heard him saying I love you to his ex today." I cried hugging Peter more tightly.

" They even kissed." A loud cry left my mouth.

I heard multiple gasps as I said this. It must be my Friends.

Then I heard loud footsteps.

I knew it was Jack.

"Sofia, please listen to me.." Jack's voice came closer and I hugged Peter more tightly.

I wanted to disappear from that place.

"Don't let him touch me , Peter. Please please, please. Don't." I sobbed hiding my face in his chest.

There was a few moments of silence when I felt a pair of soft arms on my shoulder.

I jumped in surprised.

"Shh.. it's me. " Jennie said.

" Alice was right, Jennie. He just used me." I cried more.

"Shh.. don't cry. Everything's going to be fine. Don't cry." Violet said rubbing my back.

" Nothing's going to be fine. He ruined everything. My whole life." I cried burying my face in Peter's chest more.

I never thought I would need to face this kind of event.

I trusted Jack so much. More than my own self.

" Peter, please take me home. It's suffocating here. Please Peter. I beg you please." I raised my head a little bit to look at Peter.

He had tears in his eyes.

" Shh.. I'm taking you home. Don't cry. " Peter hugged me with a sigh and kissed my forehead.

Again there were a few minutes of silence then Peter picked me up.

I rested my head on his chest still crying continuously.

"Take care of her." Max said and Peter nodded.

" Please inform me about her Condition." Jack said and Peter nodded again.

How can he listen to him.

" No Peter. No. You won't tell him anything about me. No." I roughly removed Peter's hand and I landed on the floor.

I sprained my ankle as I couldn't balance myself properly.

I cried in pain this time.

It was badly sprained.

"Sofia.." Jack tried to come closer but I hide behind Jennie.

" No, please please please." I cried more.

Peter tried to touch me this time and I moved away.

"Sofia...come here please." Peter requested.

"You just agreed to tell him about me. You don't care about me. You will betray me by supporting him. How can you listen to him after what he did." I cried and wiped my tears with one hand.

"No, I won't. Please come here." Peter tried to reach me.

"No, you just agreed." I cried more.

"I promise I won't inform him anything. I swear by God, I won't tell him. Now please come here." Peter said coming closer.

" You aren't lying right?" I asked as I wiped my tears.

"No, I'm not lying. I promised you right? You know I never break promises. " Peter said and I nodded.

"Then come here." Peter said picked me up again.

"He used me Peter." I pointed to Jack while looking at Peter with tear-filled eyes.

" Shhh.. Don't cry." Peter kissed my forehead.

"Alice told me that she'll prove to me that he still loves her and I was such a fool to trust him blindly." I slapped my face.

"Sofia..." Jack sighed.

"Sofia if you hit yourself one more time I will never talk to you." Peter said seriously.

"No no no, please Peter. I won't hit myself. Please don't leave me. Please. I'm sorry. " I hugged him crying.

"It's okay." Peter kissed the side of my head.

"Let's go home okay? Your dad is waiting for you." Peter said and I nodded still Hugging him tightly.

Peter turned around to leave and my eyes met Jack's.

His eyes had tears in them.

I quickly hide my face in Peter's neck.

I can't fall weak again. He doesn't love me. He still loves Alice.

He broke my heart. He broke my trust. He broke everything between us.

"I'll never be able to love anyone else again. " I sobbed.

"Shhh... everything will be okay. I promise. " Peter said in my ears softly.

His words calmed me a little bit but not my racing heart.

I was heartbroken.
