Manifestation is a thing

A few days after pitching the art on the auction site, Anna, who was feeling depressed and lonely after Susan finally left to live with Philly, decided to watch the Tv to cheer up her mood.

With baby Marcelo in her arms, she cuddled his soft body with hers, and gently stroked his hair as the screenplay. She was still watching the Tv when her phone suddenly rang.

Thinking it was Philly, she picked up immediately without looking at the screen.

“Hello, is this Miss Annabella Robert?” A strange, yet professional voice sounded across the phone, and Anna frowned before removing the phone from her ears to see that it wasn't Philly that had called.

“Yeah, how can I help- oh wait.” Her eyes widened as she remembered that the only place she had her name in this order was on the auction site. “Is this the auction site?” She asked carefully, her heart hammering against her chest.

Did they call her to tell her that she was rejected?

Oh no.

“Yeah, I am Rapheal Martins from Amedux auction house. This phone call is in the respect of the pitch you submitted on our site. You have such an amazing painting, it's a masterpiece, ma’am.” Raphael complimented and Anna felt her cheeks warming up at the praise.

Even Marcelo, who was in her arms babbled and smiled along with her.

“Thank you so much, sir. That really means a lot to me.” Anna said to Raphael, her tiny voice expressing her gratitude.

“You are welcome, ma’am. Our house has decided to register your painting as one of our exclusive items, and the starting price to bid will be 20000 pounds.”

“20000 POUNDS!” Anna screamed out after listening to Raphael and she suddenly felt like she didn’t understand numbers again.

“Yes, ma’am. Your painting is predicted to be one of her most bid items this weekend, that's why it's that high. The original start price will be sent to you along with fifty percent of the increasing price. Any other necessary documents will be sent to you via mail.”

Anna was dumbfounded and stunned, she couldn't find any other words to say thank you. She repeatedly appreciates the man over and over again.

“Would you like to stay anonymous or you will like to-

“Anonymous, please. I would like to stay anonymous.” Anna interrupted immediately after listening to Raphael.

“Alright, nice having you here, Miss Roberts. I hope this will be a successful project.” Raphael added before he finally hung the call.

Immediately after the call, Anna screamed out, forgetting that she was still holding Marcelo in her arms until the baby gave her a weird look. His facial expression was very identical to Jacob’s look anytime he finds something unappealing.

“You are wondering why mommy is screaming, right?” Anna chuckled at Marcelo but he only stared at her. “Well, mommy just made her first 20000 pounds of her own!” She tried not to scream this time, but she was still a bit louder.

“And I'm getting ice cream for celebration. In fact, I have to call Susan to let her know too.”

She instantly dialed Susan’s contact but the older woman was unreachable.

“I guess, we are getting some ice cream first then.” She yelped happily before going inside her room to change into a more fitting dress.

4 years later.

Jackson Mikelson was seated on his expensive leather chair, his hand resting on his desk as he watched the news quietly on his phone.

Over the years, he slowly overcomes his grief and gradually accepted that Anna would never come back into their lives.

What he hadn’t been able to consider was moving on. Not with the woman his parents had been shoving down his throat or any woman at all.

He had always respectfully refused any of his father’s impromptu meetings or any gatherings just to avoid the unofficial and unwanted fiance they had forced on him.

During this time, Anna had become an invaluable artist at Jersey and abroad. This was after her debut painting was sold for over 10 million pounds, becoming the highest-bid painting of the year, and in the last decades. She had made a name for herself with her mother’s name, and the surname that she, her mother, and her sister had always joked about.

This was how her younger sister, Maria, had traced her and was able to communicate with her.

On a fateful evening, Anna heard from the prominent art gallery, where she now showcases her work, that someone was been searching for her.

As the celebrity that she now was, Anna had wanted to decline the art gallery from giving out her information, but when she heard that the person searching for her was Maria Walson, she immediately requested her contact from the art gallery and personally contacted her.

“Anna!”

“Maria! I miss you so much.” Anna couldn’t hold back her emotions and she started crying after listening to her baby sister’s voice.

They both cried and consoled each other over and over again.

“How long is it now, five years?” Maria asked, her voice filled with desolation and heart ache. “I found your letter after I got back from school, but I made the mistake of asking dad, and he said you will never come back.”

Anna swallowed as she heard her sister’s high-pitched voice that was so similar to her mother’s. “He was right. I never intended to come back. I was very very happy to finally leave. There's no way I would have come back alive to that house, Maria.”

“I understand, dad wasn’t the best father to you, and-

“Mommy, mommy, can we get more steaks?” Marcelo’s angelical voice rang in the huge living room as he appeared in white stockings, newly released Fendi joggers, and a white top.

His voice cut off Maria’s words and she gasped on the phone. “You have a child?” She was so shocked that she had to hold her chest to contain her surprise.
