Anna’s secrets II

“Anna, do you want to say something?” The twin asked in sync as she had just been staring between them.

When they saw her nodding her head, they assisted her to the couch and placed her between them. Finally seated, Anna was about to start talking when her phone started ringing in her purse, bringing her back to reality.

The twins shared a look when she quickly picked up her call. Anna, who hadn’t realized that she had mistakenly brushed her hand to the speaker of her phone, felt her whole body tremble when her son’s voice came loudly out of her phone.

“Mommy, when are you coming? I miss you.”

It was more than a few hours after Anna had left Marcelo with her sister, and aside from when he had resumed his first year in school, this was the only time that he would be apart from his mother that long.

Anna choked back her tears as she heard her son’s angelic voice. She didn’t dare turn her head or remove her phone from the speaker as she knew that the twins had heard the little boy’s voice, and they were probably too shocked to say anything at the moment.

“I- uhm, I will be back soon baby. Listen to Aunt Maria, and be a good boy, okay?” She said to Marcelo on the phone and she heard the boy groan slightly.

“I miss you, mommy, where are you?” Marcelo, who wanted to hear Anna say that she was on her way and not what she had just said, didn't stop pestering her.

“Oh, baby. I thought I already told you your mommy will be back soon.” Maria’s voice came up on the phone as she gently took it from Marcelo’s little hands and hung up.

She was aware that Anna was probably in a difficult situation at the moment after seeing the video. Coupled with the news that was currently circulating that Jacob Mikelson was back in London, she knew for sure that her big sister was the woman, who had been rumored that he left to search the world for.

A proud smile on her face, she knew she wouldn’t have believed it if she was in her life right now.

It was surprising to learn that her introverted older sister had somehow managed to snatch the most handsome, wealthy, and successful man in all of London. Well, definitely alongside his dreadful evil twin.

Back in Jackson’s house, Anna held the phone to her ear even when she knew that the call had disconnected, she was just too shocked that they had found out about Marcelo this way, and didn’t know how to start anymore until she heard Jacob’s voice.

“How old is your child?” It was a straightforward answer, but the uncertainty in it almost broke Anna’s heart into pieces.

“He will be 5 years old next January.” Anna let out gradually, without looking at any of the twins.

They both stared at her in shock as they didn’t even have to think twice before they realized that the boy was theirs, but what they were confused about was that Anna had said she had her period the day before she left. So, how come?

“That morning after we came back from Sodom was the first time I felt the change in my body. I didn’t know I was pregnant until later that day after we left for the sex toy store.” Anna gathered the courage to speak out, still without looking at any of them as she felt too guilty to even raise her head.

Jacob and Jackson were patiently listening as they were also eager to know what exactly happened that day, and why Anna had suddenly left them.

Did she leave them five years ago because the pregnancy was forbidden in the contract as they had stated, or was it what they had thought all along?

They were curious to know about that more than anything in the world.

“Also, that morning, I received a threatening message to leave you guys along with a picture of my sister, Maria. She was the only family I had aside from my father, who.. who…” Anna bit her lips as she recalled the horrible life she had lived in her father’s house. Unable to continue that lane, her mouth quivered as she relayed how she had also received a huge sum of money too.

Jacob felt a large amount of anger rising inside him but still calmly listened to Anna muttering that she didn’t know if it was from the same person.

“After I realized that I was pregnant, I received another message, this time it was a CCTV blurry picture of my mother on the hospital bed, when she was taking her last breath in my arms, after. . . she. . . .” Anna stuttered as she finally raised her head to look at Jacob, then at Jackson.

“My mother.. died because of me after. She came to rescue me but she was…”
