Then she texted Geoffrey the photo.
“Geoffrey, it hurts so much. Please come see me?”
Thirty minutes later.
Geoffrey rushed to the Apartment Complex and saw Andrea sitting on the ground in thin clothes, blood from her wrist dripping onto the
floor, spreading like plum blossoms.
He frowned: “Why hurt yourself?”
Seeing him approach, Andrea staggered to her feet and threw herself into Geoffrey’s arms.
“Geoffrey, take me.
Please, even if I don’t marry you, I beg you, have me!”
Disgust filled Geoffrey’s eyes as he roughly pulled her away.
“Have you forgotten what I told you?”
Rejected like this, Andrea’s cheeks burned, but she persisted: “I haven’t forgotten. You said that since I saved your mother, you’d be good to me and give me whatever I wanted!”
“Geoffrey, wasn’t it great when we were dating?

Everyone said we were a perfect match.”
“Why don’t you want to continue with me now?”
“Is it really because of Maureen? Didn’t you say you didn’t like her?”
Mentioning Maureen was like touching his Achilles‘ heel.
The air around him grew heavy.
Andrea had only donated blood to save his mother’s life, but now she was demanding more and more.
His last bit of patience ran out.
“I’ll give you two choices. First, become a Mrs. Sutton in name only, just like Maureen in the past, and I won’t offer you any help anymore.”
“Second, maintain the current relationship. I’ll give you all the resources you want.”
He knew Andrea had always coveted the position of Mrs. Sutton.
Andrea hesitated.
Before returning home, she’d investigated Maureen. Calling her Mrs. Sutton was a stretch–she was more like a servant to the Sutton family.
But maintaining the status quo? That thought made her blood boil!
Andrea remained silent.
Geoffrey glanced at her wrist again. The cut wasn’t deep–clearly staged for his benefit. He turned to leave.

Andrea suddenly wrapped her arms around him from behind.
“Geoffrey, I don’t want to choose. Please don’t go.”
“I’m begging you, stay with me tonight. Please?”
“I’m terrified alone. You’ve no idea how people online mock me. They call me a pathetic ‘clown‘ claiming you don’t care for me at all.”
Her teary voice sparked no sympathy in Geoffrey, only irritation.
He pulled Andrea’s hands away.
“Since you chose to be a celebrity, you should’ve known how much gossip you’d face.”
Geoffrey’s voice was icy.
Andrea felt her heart freeze at his words.
Geoffrey was a stone–utterly heartless.
“Geoffrey, stay with me tonight?
Please. I’m begging you.”
To her shock, Geoffrey tore through her pretense: “I know my mother wants you to bear my child. Drop that scheme.”
Andrea froze.
Geoffrey added, “Behaving properly is your best option.”
With that, he strode out.

Watching his retreating figure, Andrea couldn’t fathom why he was like this!
His father was a notorious womanizer, yet Geoffrey remained utterly
unmoved.
Heather desperately wanted a grandson.
But she’d never get the chance.
Andrea called her doctor to treat her injured hand.
After leaving North Sky Apartment Complex, Geoffrey phoned his assistant Wayne.
“Progress?”
“We’ve arranged manpower. Used unconventional methods. Should retrieve the child without your presence.”
““‘Should‘?”
Geoffrey’s displeasure was palpable.
Wayne tread carefully: “Gareth seems on guard. More people than usual near the local hospital lately.”
“Dealing with those people might take some time. During this period, there’s no guarantee Gareth won’t notice.”
Geoffrey pondered for a moment after hearing this: “Arrange a private jet to Country Town immediately. I’ll go fetch him myself.”
“Understood.”

After hanging up, Geoffrey drove straight to the airport.
If Andrea hadn’t suddenly harmed herself, he’d already be on that flight by now.
Bringing the child back would give Maureen no reason to leave, and his mother would stop pestering him for a grandson.
Late at night.
Outside the VIP ward in Country Town Hospital, four bodyguards stood watch.
They patrolled back and forth, preventing strangers from approaching Ethan’s room.
Suddenly, all lights in the hospital corridor went out.
Before they could react, a group of well–trained bodyguards in black covered their mouths, knocked them out, and dragged them away.
The entire operation took barely a minute.
As hospital surveillance feeds went dark, lights flickered back on to reveal Geoffrey’s men already carrying the boy from the hospital bed.
Inside the black presidential limousine,
Geoffrey watched the kid frowning now and then in restless sleep.
He reached out and rested his hand on the small forehead.
Ethan’s eyelids fluttered open, revealing obsidian eyes mirroring Geoffrey’s own.

Seeing the man, he showed no panic, but glanced around before realizing he’d fallen asleep in the car.
No need to guess–he knew his jerk of a dad had kidnapped him.
But he didn’t let it show, instead gazing at Geoffrey with feigned confusion.
“Uncle, where are you taking me?”
Ethan murmured softly.
