Someone had thrown out his clothes, stołen his phone, and cut off the landline…
With no choice, Sean wrapped a towel around his waist and marched out. Under stunned gazes, he borrowed a phone. to call his assistant.
After an extensive search, bodyguards retrieved Sean’s clothes and phone from downstairs.
“Young Master, is someone trying to harm you?”
The assistant felt a lingering fear. Who could have broken in here and reached Sean’s room?
Sean frowned slightly. “Probably not.”
If they meant real harm, why just toss his clothes and phone?
So childish–felt like some kid’s prank!
A kid…
Sean pictured that masked brat pouring his wine, all wide–eyed innocence.
His expression darkened further.
Could it be… a relic from his wilder days?
“I’ll send men to investigate immediately,” the assistant offered.
“Wait!” Sean stopped him. “Don’t bother.”
If it was a secret child, they’d surely come to him again.
He couldn’t risk a public search–if the old man found out, it’d spell trouble.
Though puzzled, the assistant nodded.
Then he added, “Young Master, about what you asked me to look into this morning… I’ve found out.”
“Katherine and Maureen were college classmates.
After graduation, Katherine went abroad.
She returned shortly after Maureen came back.”
“From my investigation, Katherine had feelings for a classmate named Tyler.
I suspect she asked Maureen to attend the matchmaking event because of Tyler.”

The assistant told Sean everything he knew.
Sean’s eyes grew inscrutable.
He changed clothes and went downstairs, spotting Geoffrey and Andrea standing together like a perfect couple.
Sean hesitated but didn’t mention today’s events to Geoffrey.

Maureen answered Katherine’s call, hearing dejection in her voice: “Reenie, I’m coming back tonight.”
“How did it go?
Did you find him?” Maureen asked.
Katherine’s voice caught.
“Yeah, found him.“.
She paused, feigning nonchalance. “But he’s with someone else now. It’s completely over between us.”
Maureen struggled to find comforting words.
Katherine changed the subject: “How was the matchmaking?
They didn’t give you trouble, did they?”
“It’s complicated.”
Maureen glanced out the window where the sun was setting.
“I’ll come find you and Jacob tonight, we’ll talk then.”
“Okay.”
Midsummer night.
When Katherine returned, she hid her disappointment and didn’t mention Tyler again.
Maureen and Jacob thoughtfully didn’t ask, and instead told her about the blind date today.
“Sean?
How could it be him?
I should’ve asked to make sure.”
Katherine sighed.
“Right now I’m worried he’ll retaliate against you.”

Maureen said truthfully.
Katherine, however, didn’t care: “He’s a grown man, bullying two weak women? How shameless!”
“I used to think that too, but Sean would do anything for Andrea.”
Maureen never thought Sean was any gentleman.

Jacob, who was reading a book, listened to their conversation and quietly uploaded the photos of Sean he’d taken ear- lier to the internet.
Thanks to Jacob’s efforts, the internet exploded the next morning.
A news story prominently appeared on the hot search: [High Society’s Sean, after getting drunk, wet his pants.]
Below the news story was a picture.
It was a photo of Sean leaving the Banquet Hall in a sorry state last night, his pants soaked with red wine.
When Katherine got up in the morning and checked her phone, she saw the news.
“Reenie, look at the news.”
Katherine couldn’t stop grinning: “Serves him right?
So satisfying.”
“Who’d dare do such a thing?”
Maureen gasped in shock.
Elsewhere.
At the Robson Group office, Sean’s face darkened like charcoal.
His assistant stood rigidly, trembling as he reported: “We’ve removed the trending topics.”
“Did you find who did it?”
Sean looked up, fury swirling in his dark eyes.
He’d never swallowed such a bitter pill before.
Drunk?
Pissing himself!
If he discovered the culprit, he’d beat him senseless.
The assistant shook his head: “No. The poster used a virtual address.”
“Our team investigated at dawn… found nothing…”

Sean’s expression turned grimmer.
Seemed he’d have to choke down this humiliation.
“I won’t tolerate trending topics like this again. Understood?”
“Yes.”
Meanwhile, Jacob woke up and immediately booted his computer, only to discover all news about Sean had vanished.
Sure enough, money makes the mare go.
“This time, I’ll let you off.”
He rubbed his sleepy eyes and opened the bedroom door to step out.
“Mommy, Aunt Katherine, good morning.”
“Morning, little smarty pants,” Katherine replied.
Maureen was in the kitchen preparing breakfast.
“Hurry and wash up, breakfast’s ready.”
“Jacob, Aunt Katherine found a kindergarten for you. We’re enrolling today.”
Normally, this would be summer break.
But the International Academy Katherine recommended operates year–round.
With Jacob at school, Maureen wouldn’t worry about him being alone all day.
Besides, kids his age need to socialize with others.
“Okay,” Jacob answered obediently.
In the bathroom,
Katherine watched Jacob standing on a stool brushing his teeth seriously before the mirror. She couldn’t resist teasing
him:
