Chapter323
After hanging up the phone, Jacob looked serious.
He always knew about that awful grandmother of his. He heard she just came back recently, and not long after returning, she’s already causing trouble for Mom!
Jacob decided to go online tonight and dig up Noelle’s scandals.
He walked downstairs and was about to sit down when, as luck would have it, he saw Noelle and her current husband Raymond actually coming over with gifts.
Katherine was also in the living room. When she saw Noelle, she froze. Why was Maureen’s biological mother here?
She immediately got up and went over to Jacob.
“Jacob, Great–grandpa is going to discuss business. Let’s go play outside.”
But Albert flatly refused: “It’s fine. You and Jacob can come listen to business matters with me.”
Katherine knew Jacob was smart, but he was still just a kid. She didn’t expect Albert to involve him in business so soon. Not knowing what else to say, she sat down with them.
Jacob’s wise dark eyes looked in Noelle’s direction, and a cold smile rose within him. What a coincidence.
Even if Albert hadn’t said anything, he would have stayed.
Raymond and Noelle came specifically today to visit Albert, wanting to discuss a piece of land in the center of Karaville.
After all, the Raymond family and the Sutton Family were now connected by marriage, and the Sutton Family had the best relationship with the Albert family.
Noelle and Raymond thought that by relying on their marriage connection with the Sutton Family, they could just come, meet, talk, and the deal would be done.
But Noelle didn’t expect an unexpected factor here today.
When she entered the living room, the first person she saw was Jacob. At first, he looked familiar, but she couldn’t recall who he was, after all, she had only briefly met Ethan once.

Chapter323
Albert was drinking tea and didn’t stand up to greet them.
Being an old hand in the business world, he had naturally looked into Raymond and Noelle, and their methods were extremely dirty.
If it weren’t for Raymond’s daughter being engaged to Alex, he wouldn’t have let them in at all.
“Raymond, Noelle, please sit.”
Albert said lightly.
Raymond and Noelle sat down without any courtesy.
Noelle looked again at Jacob, his pinkish face, his eyes as bright as obsidian, wearing a tailored suit, looking particularly noble.
And beside him was Katherine, though not exactly beautiful, she was still a well–bred lady.
Noelle had known Katherine for years. She thought to herself, what luck for such a modest family like the Whites to marry into an esteemed clan like the Robsons.
“Katherine, do you remember Aunt Noelle?” she said sweetly. “You visited my home with Reenie during your college days.‘
“1
Katherine chuckled coldly. How could she forget?
“Of course I remember. I also recall you kicked us out that first visit, saying a nouveau riche daughter like me dared to climb the social ladder by befriending the Ramirez Family.”
Her smile didn’t reach her eyes.
Albert’s expression darkened instantly. He adored his future granddaughter–in–law. Authority radiated from him as he demanded, “Madam Davey. Katherine is my grandson’s fiancee. Is she beneath you?”
Noelle paled.
“This is all a misunderstanding! I’d never kick Katherine out!
She must be confused.”
“Perhaps my young mind is failing me,” Katherine remarked with biting sarcasm. “Unlike your elderly clarity.”
Noelle choked back her fury. That little bitch! she seethed inwardly. How dare she humiliate me before marrying into High Society? Just wait till the Robsons discard you.

Chapter323
Her voice strained as she changed the subject: “Mr. Robson, is this your great–grandson?”
So adorable, and looks very clever. He’s bound to do great things in the future.
After speaking, she tried to pat Jacob on the head.
Jacob’s eyes turned icy as he dodged: “I don’t like people touching me casually. Please show some self–restraint.”
Noelle had been rejected twice, and even Raymond felt embarrassed for her, signaling with his eyes for her to shut up.
It was the first time Noelle had been treated so coldly. For the sake of future cooperation, she decided not to speak further.
Raymond immediately stated their purpose to Albert: “Chairman Albert, if you agree, we’ll pay five hundred million for this land. With factories nearby, any real estate development would be worthless.”
One billion. That’s no small amount.
Someone previously offered three hundred million, but Albert refused.
One billion meant nothing to Albert, but the land was sitting idle anyway. Even if he wouldn’t do it for Raymond, he had to save face for his son–in–law Alex.
Albert was about to agree when unexpectedly Jacob spoke up.
With just one sentence, he shocked everyone present.
