Andrea shook her head frantically. “Geoffrey, I can’t go. I dare not go anywhere. Please, just for tonight, let me stay here.”
“I’m terrified he’ll find me again.”
Maureen listened nearby, realizing Andrea seemed to be stalked by a man.
“I’ll book you a hotel.”
As Geoffrey reached for his phone, Andrea grabbed his hand.
“Geoffrey, you promised me anything.
We’re not married yet. Let me stay here, just one day.”
“I’m so scared…”
Tears streamed down her face.
Geoffrey never compromised his principles for anyone.
But today he agreed.
“Good.”
Geoffrey pulled Andrea away.
“Geoffrey, thank you.”
Andrea said gratefully, then turned back and gave Maureen a triumphant look.
She was starting to regret choosing to marry Geoffrey, realizing it might be better not to have married him.
If she hadn’t married him, she could make any demand, and he would usually agree.
How fortunate that she was the one who had pretended to save Heather….
Maureen saw her showing off, her expression cold.
Pearl was huge, with many rooms. Andrea chose the one closest to the master bedroom, the implication obvious.
As she went to tidy her room, Maureen was also heading back to the bedroom.
Geoffrey was sitting in the living room and called out to her.
“Come here.”

Maureen didn’t know what he wanted. She walked over and asked, “What is it?”
Geoffrey watched her expression.
He remembered clearly that after they got married, she had said: Pearl would be their little home from then on, and no other woman besides relatives and friends was allowed to stay.
“Aren’t you angry?”
He had agreed to let Andrea stay partly because he was truly afraid she might die, and partly to see Maureen’s reac-
tion.
He didn’t believe she didn’t care.
But Maureen’s reaction was beyond his expectations.
“Didn’t we agree?”
“Once the debt is paid, we get divorced. Why should I be angry?”
Geoffrey’s throat tightened: “I hope you can keep this up.‘
་་
He stood up: “I’ve got plans today, won’t be back tonight.”
Andrea truly hadn’t expected this. After scheming to play the victim and finally securing her stay, Geoffrey just left.
She walked to Maureen’s door and knocked.
Maureen had planned to keep working on her score – only then could she stop overthinking.
Another interruption. She knew today’s composition was hopeless.
She rose and opened the door.
Andrea stared at Maureen bundled in long sleeves during summer, spotting the rash on her neck.
Having received support from the Ramirez family, she’d often dined at their home.
Once, Maureen accidentally ate seafood and reacted exactly like this.
“You know what?
You’re the first glass doll I’ve ever met.”
Andrea’s tone dripped implication. “Allergic to seafood? Only a rich girl gets to be this delicate.”
“You don’t actually think playing victim will make Geoffrey like you?”
Maureen returned to her room, sat in a chair, and lifted her eyes with a scornful smile.
“Aren’t you the one playing victim here?”
Both women. Who couldn’t see her little games?

Chapter112
After all, you’re a big star who’s learned from past mistakes. How could you let a man into your room again?
Hearing this, Andrea wasn’t angry at all. She curled her lips: “Yeah, I’m playing the victim too, but-”
She leaned toward Maureen, as if afraid she couldn’t hear, and deliberately raised her voice.
“When I play the victim, Geoffrey feels sorry for me. And you?”
“You’ve made yourself so ugly now. Has he ever cared about you?”
Maureen didn’t answer.
Andrea continued: “I really don’t get why you have to fight me for Geoffrey.”
“You may be married, but do you know what it’s like to be intimate with him?”
“Do you know which side of the bed he prefers?”
“Do you know if he likes top or bottom?”
“I know all that.”
Maureen hadn’t expected Andrea to be so explicit.
Her eyes looked hollow.
In this regard, she certainly knew less than Andrea.
Now, she didn’t want to know either.
Whatever Geoffrey liked, she just wanted to have a child quickly and leave him.
Seeing Maureen speechless, Andrea felt an unprecedented satisfaction.
Maureen didn’t care and slowly said: “Over the years, you must have saved a lot of money, right?”
“What do you mean?”
“I’ll give you a few months to gather more money, and I’ll leave Geoffrey on my own.”
As a superstar, Andrea had earned substantial film salaries over the years, plus endorsement deals and more.
She should have at least two or three billion saved, if not seven or eight.
“Are you sure?”
This was the first time Andrea heard Maureen discuss money.
Maureen used to see Geoffrey as priceless–no amount could sway her before.
“Yes. I’ve endured years of hardship abroad and had enough. I want a substantial sum to live out my days.”
