Chapter 103
Ethan’s nose flushed red, dark eyes swimming with tears. “Then why hasn’t he come to take me home?”
“I miss home… I miss my daddy…”
Geoffrey handed him a tissue.
“Stop thinking about him.
He doesn’t want you anymore.”
Ethan: “…” Lies! Uncle Gareth would never abandon me!
Scaring a kid? What a meanie!
Playing the part of a heartbroken child, Ethan wailed: “You’re lying! Daddy would never abandon me! He promised he and Mommy would have a little Ethan to keep me company someday!”
Geoffrey’s face darkened instantly, and the temperature in the room seemed to drop.
“Your daddy still wants to have kids with Maureen?”
Seeing Geoffrey’s displeasure, Ethan deliberately continued, “Yeah, Daddy said he wants lots of little brothers and sisters to keep me company.”
Geoffrey: “…”
Ethan kept crying while secretly watching Geoffrey’s expression.
Didn’t he dislike Mommy?
Why did he look so angry?
Do all jerks like him refuse to let others have what they don’t want?
“If that’s the case, why did your mommy return home?”
Geoffrey wasn’t sure if the kid knew anything, just asking casually.
Ethan froze, nearly caught off guard.
“Maybe she came back with Daddy to give me siblings.”
He batted his big eyes, face utterly serious.
Geoffrey grew more irritated. He’d recently had people monitoring Gareth’s movements constantly.

He discovered someone was restricting Gareth’s movements behind the scenes, and Gareth seemed desperate to leave Country Town.
Looked like he wanted to return home…
Coming back to have babies? Only Maureen could dream up such nonsense.
“Stop crying. If you behave, I’ll let you see Maureen.”
He declared.
He’d never comforted children before, considering this matter settled as he stood up to leave.
But Ethan directly hugged his leg, rubbing snot and tears all over his suit pants: “Wuwuwu, I want Mommy, I want Daddy, Uncle is bad, wuwuwu…”
A few days ago, he’d flown in exhausted and hadn’t bothered Geoffrey. Now he’d make him pay.
Mommy raised us while this deadbeat dad did nothing. Time he learned how hard parenting is!
“Stop crying. Let go.”
Geoffrey frowned.
Ethan refused, wailing louder.
“Keep crying and I’ll hit you.”
Geoffrey warned.
“Wuwuwu, Uncle’s hitting kids, wuwuwu, it hurts…” Ethan smeared snot across Geoffrey’s leg.
Geoffrey, a neat freak, grabbed Ethan’s collar and lifted him.
“Stop crying!”
Before he finished, warmth spread across his chest.
He looked down–Ethan’s zipper was down. The kid had peed himself.
Geoffrey’s face darkened like charcoal, and he immediately let go of Ethan.
Is this kid too timid?
“Uncle, don’t hit Ethan, Ethan didn’t mean it… Ethan is scared…”
The nannies outside heard the child crying inside and thought their boss had done something bad to him.
The nanny who had been taking care of Ethan risked being fired and pushed the door open.
“Boss, the child is still so young, you can’t hit him.”
After she came in, she saw a yellow stain on Geoffrey’s white shirt…

The nanny realized what it was immediately and awkwardly looked away.
Ethan was still clinging to Geoffrey, crying: “Uncle, are you angry?
Why aren’t you saying anything?
When will you let me see Mommy?”
Geoffrey, with a grim face, put him back on the bed and then hurried to the bathroom.

In the bathroom, he washed over and over, and whenever he thought of that brat’s face, he wanted to spank his butt.
Maureen is such a gentle person, how could she have given birth to one like this….
An hour later, Geoffrey came out again, smelling fresh all over.
The nanny cautiously approached him: “Boss, Ethan isn’t crying anymore, he asked me to apologize to you, saying sorry.”
“He said he’d be a good boy, begged you not to tear the ticket. He still wants to see his mom and dad.”
The nanny felt a chill after delivering the message.
So Ethan wasn’t the boss’s son or relative? And what did “tear the ticket” mean?
This felt like dangerous knowledge–could she end up silenced?
Geoffrey raised an eyebrow.
Tear the ticket?
No wonder the brat wet himself earlier. Just a misunderstanding….
“Got it.”
He couldn’t be bothered with a child’s nonsense.
Before leaving, he instructed the nanny to watch the boy.
The nanny exhaled but kept puzzling over Ethan’s words.
Inside the room, Ethan grinned at the fading engine roar.
After countless diaper disasters Mom endured raising him and his brother, this deadbeat dad couldn’t handle one acci- dent?
Hmph. Next time that sperm donor visited, he’d give him hell.
Ethan decided to stay awhile.
Since surgery wasn’t an option yet, he’d recover here–eating Geoffrey’s food, wearing Geoffrey’s clothes, and making Geoffrey miserable.

Geoffrey massaged his temples in the car, still smelling faintly of urine.
“Where’s Maureen now?”
“Still at Pearl,” his bodyguard replied.
