Chapter 202 202

Chapter 202 202
“What are you saying?!” he pleaded, running a hand through his hair. “Iza, what are you saying?!”
“Kays, I’ve read her—I see her, just like I see you!” I cried desperately through tears. “She didn’t do it. And neither did you,” I added more softly, stepping closer and holding his face in my hands. “You’re both clean and untainted. I don’t know what happened between you, but neither of you is guilty.”
“Iza…”
“No,” I cut him off. “In five hundred years, did either of you ever try to sit down and talk to her? Really talk?”
The answer was in his eyes.
“Exactly! You’re two stubborn idiots who’ve hated each other for five hundred years over something neither of you did! Instead of talking it out, you try to kill each other!”
“Then what’s the explanation?” Karadeylis paced back and forth. “Who did it, then?”
“I don’t know,” I whispered, wiping my tears. “But do you trust me? Do you trust what I see?”
“I do,” Kays finally said, and some of the tension left him.
“I’m not saying you have to start hugging each other like old friends,” I said softly, looking into his clear eyes. “But at least sit down and talk. Just… call a temporary truce.”
“That won’t be easy,” he admitted, pulling me into a hug. “I’ve spent too long hating her to change overnight… but I’ll try, if it’s that important to you. Just know—if I see even one suspicious move from her toward you…”
“Alright,” I smiled at my fiancé. “For now, I’m not asking for anything more.”
“And who was that guy?” Kays tightened his arms around me, finally calming down as he buried his face in my hair.
“Oh, that’s my ex from my world,” I said—and… three… two… one…
“What?!!!” His grip tightened and his eyes flared with fury.
“Oh, come on,” I snorted. “We talked and stayed friends. And besides… I think he’s the one who will help Laverna break her curse, the same way I helped you.”
I told Kays everything that had happened since I came here and how I’d received my gift. I hid nothing, because once before, silence between us had already cost us a painful separation.
I told him how Laverna had saved my Figaro from an unknown illness, how she’d helped me accept my gift and cope with its consequences. I also shared my suspicion that if the witch’s curse could be broken, his family might be freed as well. Kays frowned skeptically, but didn’t argue—after all, there was nothing to lose. If he couldn’t do it, he wouldn’t mind if Laverna could.
As we walked through the palace grounds, we met Iolanta and Yafi, who had just arrived. I was so happy to see them—I’d missed them. Io said she was mad at me, but I could see she wasn’t; she’d just been worried. I gave orders for them to be settled into the palace, and then we headed to my room, where the dinner I’d ordered was already waiting—since we hadn’t had a chance to eat all day.
The moment we crossed the threshold of my bedroom, I was swept up by a hurricane named Kays. My clothes were torn away; his simply burned off. Well—dinner would have to wait. There was another kind of hunger that needed to be satisfied first.
He lifted me effortlessly and carried me toward the bed, and I wrapped my legs around his waist. We kissed without stopping, our shared desire spinning out of control.
Figaro, who had been resting on my bed, quickly figured out what was happening and darted out through the open balcony door, making us laugh.
The instant my body touched the soft sheets, I felt myself being filled. The first thrust sent a wave through my nerves like a tidal surge, flooding my mind with pleasure. My toes curled, my back arched, and a long moan slipped from my lips as I sank into the sweetness of it.
“I love you, my girl,” Kays whispered, looking into my eyes as he moved slowly, letting me feel every vein, every ridge, every inch of him stretching me from within.
“Oh, Kays…” my words came out as a moan. “I missed you so much,” I gazed at my man with tenderness, my heart overflowing. “I love you. Don’t give me to anyone. Don’t ever leave me.”
“Wouldn’t dream of it,” the dark-haired man smirked, thrusting even deeper and making me arch. “You’re MINE. Only mine. My queen.”
