re here," her father's voice reached her ears, pulling her eyes from Kage. Hey, slad
Eldon had a smile as he entered the living room, holding a glass of wine.
"Uh. Is something wrong?" she asked, dragging her eyes back to Kage.
The jerk didn't betray any emotion on his face.
"Of course, not. As a matter of fact, today's one of the happiest days of my life," her father replied.
He took a seat, sipping from his glass. Even after your divorce, Kage is still being nice. He just offered to partner with our company.

Sylvie's heart was beating unhealthily in her chest. Oh, God.
Her father stood up, taking more gulps from his glass. "I'll leave you two to it now." He left.
"Seriously? You trying to use my father?"
Casually, Kage crossed a leg over the other. I've never seen a woman as ungrateful as you. I just walked up to your

"Really? So, what's the condition, then?"
He picked out a paper from the numerous ones on the table. "Just something pretty small. I'm sure you wouldn't have a problem with it
Sylvir glared at him as she took the paper. She chuckled after reading it.
"Now, all it needs is your signature.
"You're insane she said bitterly. "Tve told you, I'm not moving in with you.
"Really? So, you just gonna wipe that smile off your father's face? You're gonna reject this once in a lifetime opportunity over a little effort?
"Why is it so hard to understand?" She rose her voice a notch. I don't wanna be with anyone, Kage. I just wanna be alone
His face turned colder. He rose to his feet. "Look, you keep acting like I really give a hoot about you like you're some hot girl who I'm

Is something wrong?" Sue asked, with them being alone now.
Did you do it? Lana kept a straight face.
Do what?"
Burn down Sylvie's apartment. Her friend almost died."
Rebecca looked away. "Tin just pissed it wasn't Sylvie who got burnt.
Lana's eyes widened in shock.
"Mum! You almost committed murder? She rushed to sit beside her. "What if things had gotten out of hand and someone ended up dead? I know our hands are supposed to get dirty, but not this dirty, mum!"
"Well, how else do you plan on getting rid of the baby? By poisoning her? What if she ends up dead as well! Since she's unwilling to terminate it herself, we'll need to terminate her. You'll need to make up your mind, Lana.
I'm just pissed she wasn't home when the fire started. It was late, and she was supposed to be home. The damn boy couldn't even confirm before starting the fire. She huffeil.
Lana was still surprised her mum could go to such length. But she understood the woman. The baby needed to be removed by all means. She could only hope Kage didn't know about it yet.
Sylvie was filled with too much excitement, she feared her heart would burst from the force of it.
She ran into the complex and headed for the meeting room, following her secretary's direction. There, she found the investors, seated on a table and having a light conversation. They paused when she entered. "Hello, sirs. Good morning, sirs," she lowered her heads.
They welcomed her and gestured for her to sit. Then, they went into the details of the meeting.
It was still like a dream to Sylvie. She never expected they'd call her back, not after the embarrassment. She found it strange. tho, but she didn't let it stop her from accepting their offer.
After a long distance discussion, the meeting came to an end with the investors signing the deal. This was real. Sylvie's heart might indeed, end up exploding.
"I can't wait to do business with you, Ms. Price. I do hope it turns out well," one of them said as they shook hands.
"Oli, certainly, sar! You're not going to regret this?" Her cheeks was all red from how hard she's been blushing
She shook funds with the other men.

"Um... if you don't mind me asking, sir, what changed your minds? Because I know I didn't meet up with your expectations the other day. She let out the question she's been dying to ask. He smiled. "Let's just say, you have Kage Hawkins to thank for that."
