Diane moved feverishly around Kai’s apartment, putting on the finishing touches. Shooing Annie and Betsey, she fluffed the pillow on the couch.

Annie grabbed her hands "Di, relax. He’s going to appreciate everything you’ve done.”

"I-I know, I’m just.” She sighed, "I wish turning hadn’t hit my body so hard. Knock me out of commission and then that flu.” She fidgeted with her fingers, "You sure everybody told him what was going on?”

Betsey nodded, "I’m sure. George really meant it when he said Kai sent his love and thanked you for yours. Stop feeling guilty, you checked on him constantly but Di, your body really needed the rest.”

Hearing the door open, the three looked up to see Kai and Sabine. The moment his eyes locked with Diane, he gave her a big smile. Embracing her, he said, I’m SO glad that you’re feeling better.”

Her eyes teared at the fact that even with all the hell he’d been through, he still managed to be more concerned about her. She pulled back from him, "I am so proud of you.”

His smile widening, he gave her another hug, before giving one to Annie and Betsey. He looked around, "Now, I KNOW it didn’t look like this when I left it.”

"Yeah, your mama-” Annie paused, realizing what she’d said.

He nodded, "My mama did this?” He gave Diane a side hug, "Thank you so much. It’s nice to not have to come home to the mess of a place that I left.”

Diane tried her best not to make him feel uncomfortable, but she couldn’t help it. The acknowledgment of her as another mother figure, made her heart swell with happiness. She grinned, "There actually wasn’t much to do, Sabine had been keeping it up well.” She nudged Sabine, "She was just nice enough to let me add some of my touches.”

Kai's eyes fell intensely onto Sabine, and her face flushed as she looked away. He turned his attention back to Diane, "I can’t believe that you and Uncle George are mates.” He scrunched his face, "Then again, I never thought he smiled but I’ve seen about two of them. The first time scared the hell out of me, kinda looked like a deranged murderer....don’t tell him I said that though.” They all shared a laugh before Kai walked over and kissed Sabine on the top of her head. "As much as I SO want to keep this conversation, I’m really exhausted, but can we have family dinner soon? I want to spend time with everyone now that I’m better.”

Diane, Annie, and Betsey wore their smirks high on their foreheads and saying nothing they gave them both kisses before leaving the apartment.

Placing the shoebox on the counter, Sabine opened the pantry. "Are you hungry? I can make us-” Her words stopped as Kai pressed against her. He gently kissed her neck before sucking on it, and she let out a small groan. "Kai…” She murmured as his hands traveled over her body. "I just want to say that I’m-ohhh…” She gripped onto the door as his hands moved up the inside of her shirt. She felt a light zap of his fingers, and her bra fell to the floor.

"I’m sorry too.” He whispered, "I’ll never leave you again.” He pulled her closer to him as he kneaded her nipples between his fingers.

"And I don’t hate you, I-ohh..” Light zaps followed the path of his fingers from one of her breasts as his hand found the clasp of the button of her jeans. Undoing it, he slipped his fingers inside and pressed them against her clit.

She tightened around his fingers and he smirked and lightly zapped her from the inside.

Sabine stumbled slightly, her legs trembling as the action made her climax approach. Reaching around, she tugged at the clasp of his pants. She heard Kai chuckle when she used her magic to make both his and hers disappear. One hand firmly planted on her waist, Kai entered her and then gripped the back of her neck. Sabine braced herself, her eyes purpling the moment he stroked hard inside her.

Using both her waist and neck, Kai jerked her repeatedly back, her convulsions feeding into him. Sabine clenched her teeth, before letting out a loud cry, “I LOVE YOU!” as she climaxed.

Leaning forward, Kai kissed her cheek, “I love you too.” Pulling from her, he whipped her around and picked her up. Carrying her to the couch, he laid her down and positioned his face between her legs. Breathless, Sabine tried to back away and he only smiled. Sabine clenched her eyes shut as the chaos magic swirled around them She pulled back, with tears in her eyes, “I love you so much, Trouble, and I’m sorry about everything.”

Caressing her cheek with his thumb, Kai looked at her deeply, “I love you Doe, and I’m sorry too about everything.” Colliding into one another again, Kai felt his chest lurch forward. He gripped into her back as her chest jerked, pushing her into him, and she wrapped her arms around his neck.

"I-I feel…” She stammered out as their tempo increased and they could see the purple and green hues encapsulate them. His thrust deep, Sabine retched her head back and her eyes opened wide. Kai watched as they glowed with a light that shot to the ceiling.

He gritted his teeth feeling himself near, his eyes matching her bright glow as they simultaneously released. She collapsed onto him, and he stilled as he heard a loud beating against him.

She lifted her head, "Kai…” his breath caught in his throat. They stared at one another, and his lips parted at the change in her eyes. Her left one brown, her right containing swirls of green with purple sparks. “Y-your left eye it’s...wow…” She said to him and he realized his looked the opposite of hers. Her bottom lip trembled the moment he placed his hand over her chest, and their eyes both darted to her ringing phone. Reaching over, she picked it up. "It’s Alexus.”

He nodded for her to answer, already knowing what his sister would say. He heard her voice,

"SABINE YOUR HEART DISAPPEARED! I DON’T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED.-”

“It’s with me,” Sabine responded, sobbing. She looked at her Paramour, unable to hardly speak, “I-It finally came home.”

"This is freaky…” Rachel said, staring from Kai to Sabine. "You two have to admit this is freaky.”

Sabine rubbed her arm, "It kinda makes sense, my mom did say we were connected. I was already unlocking my powers, and then I guess when we admitted what was blocking both of us it gave me the extra push to unlock everything.” Her face flushed, and she looked at Kai, “It was nice knowing I wasn’t the only one of us whose learning to be kinder to themselves. It inspires me and makes me love you more in a way.”

Kai kissed the top of her head, “You do the same for me.” Seeing Sterling grimace, Kai immediately felt his anger rise, “What Sterling?”

"IIIII’m just wondering why you two had to come and show us up?”

Sabine looked at him confused, "What are you talking about?”

He scoffed, "Don’t play coy with me Bine Bine, I love you but I told you, your acting is horrible.” Pointing to Rachel and Elijah he rolled his eyes, “First these two with the imprinting and the almost fucking dying.” He pointed to Alexus and Demetri, growling when Demetri swatted his hand. “Don’t swat me like a damn child!”

“Then stop acting like one!”

“Stop acting like you got a j-o-b first!” He folded his arms to his chest and ignored the fume on Demetri’s face, "You two with the forgetting and curing and then serums and shit! And now Sabine and Kai, look at you! How am I supposed to compete with death eye portals and shit!” Looking at Morgan, he stomped his foot and pouted, "WHERE’S OUR INTENSE LOVE, HUH LITTLE RED?! Love me more aggressively than you already do!”

Looking at Jordan about to strangle his brother, she inhaled sharply before belting a laugh, "Fucking hell, you two drive me insane. Mad Jester, I love you but what in the ACTUAL FACTUAL FUCK are you talking about? We literally started all of this, you two have a shared mate twice over, and we all somehow learned to sync as one."

Sterling thought about it for a second, before pulling her into his arms, "That’s what the fuck I’m talking about! Show them you love me as aggressively as you do!” Seeing Jordan roll his eyes, he seethed, "You didn’t even have my back! This is your relationship too! Get with it or get lost!”

Looking at their wife, Jordan shook his head and laughed before placing a noogie in his brother's hair, "Stop being an absolute fucking idiot. “

Laughing, Sterling sucked his teeth, "Fine! I admit I went a little overboard and stole the show. Continue Bine Bine and Static Shock, my bad.”

Kai cut his eyes, using his powers and Sterling lost his mouth once more. Satisfied, he ignored Sterling's mumbles for help as he panicked to Morgan. “So what now? Are we SUPER powerful?”He asked Sabine.

She rubbed the back of her neck, "Welllll....” Taking his hand, the two disappeared, and when they returned Kai looked around almost green. "Kai…”

“AHHHHHHH! WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?!” He belted before covering his mouth.

"We can sort of jump planes and do A LOT of other crazy stuff,” She said slowly, seeing his eyes widen.

He paced back and forth, "Okay….okay, I can handle this. A brother just saw some demons and the gates of hell... that ain't no biggie. Thataintnobiggie,”

"A-Are you okay Trouble?”

"Yeah!" He shrilled, "I mean, they ain't see us right?”

Sabine rubbed the back of her neck again, "Well…”

His eyes widened double their size in panic, "OH FUCK NO! “ He shouted, "I DON’T PLAY WITH NO DAMN DEMONS, SABINE!” He grabbed his chest, "Where’s my inhal-wait I DON’T HAVE ASTHMA ANYMORE?!” Pacing again, he looked wildly at everyone and in his panic, suddenly disappeared.

“Fucking hell!” Sabine said, rolling her eyes, before disappearing to find him.

“AHHHHH!” Kai screamed, returning with her. “HE SAID HELLO! THE DEMON FUCKING SAID HELLO SABINE, MOTHERFUCKER ASKED ME FOR AN AUTOGRAPH! HE ASKED ME OUT FOR DRINKS!”

"Well did you accept?” Demetri sneered, and Kai cut his eyes at him. Losing his mouth as well, he fumed at Kai before turning into a bat and slapping his face. The two tussled on the floor, and he feverishly slapped Kai over and over. Sterling, still pissed about his own mouth, shifted and joined the silent fight.

"I’M NOT REMOVING SHIT!” Kai screamed as he zapped both of them in the neck. Demetri waved his wing and used his magic to slam him into the ground.

"OH MY GOD!” The ladies double over laughing causing them to stop.

"Kai give them their mouths back,” Sabine said, wiping her tears as he grumbled before taking off the spell.

"YOU MOTHERFUCKER!” Sterling yelled and he sneered,

"I was just trying to help you out. I’m tired of your breath curling my damn eyebrows, and I’m sure so is everyone else.”

Checking his breath before throwing his insult Sterling growled, "Oh please! You could use your own B.O as homemade chloroform!”

"WHAT?! I-I DON’T STINK!”

Letting out a loud cackle, Demetri pointed, “Continue to lie to yourself, doesn’t stop the smell, Oscar the grouch.”

Preparing to fight again, Jordan and Elijah stepped in between,

"KNOCK IT OFF!” Jordan shouted.

Calming, Kai looked down at his hand and let out a belting scream, "AHHHHH!”

"What is it?!” Sabine replied.

He put up the piece of paper. Scribbled on it, the phone number of a Demon with a note " Let’s do lunch”

Snuggled under Kai, Sabine jilted forward, feeling uneasy. The wisp of a voice beckoned her,

” Sabine...HELP!”

Her face paled, “Minerva? Is that you?”

“Please...Help…Wilmot, he won't stop...”

Hearing her sister sob, Sabine quickly leaped to her feet. She kissed Kai on the cheek, put on her jacket, and disappeared into the night.
