Handling the Business Taught To You (II)

*Wedding Reception*

Morgan swayed to the beat of the music, her eyes on her favorite twins. They were laughing and joking together, and Jordan gave a noogie to Sterling, making him laugh harder. They picked up on her watching them, and they winked at her. Strolling over, they looked her up and down. She laughed. “Are my Mad Jester and *Alpha* checking me out?”

“Absolutely,” Sterling said, smirking, and they extended their hands to her.

“We were wondering if we could dance with the most beautiful woman in the room.” Jordan said.

“Both of you?”

“Well, we could take turns, but I have a feeling Sterling would get jealous that you chose me first.”

Sterling scrunched his face. “Oh haha, wait, Little Red, would you really choose him first?” She laughed her infectious laugh, making their hearts melt. Moving in sync, the twins locked eyes with her.

“You look beautiful, Ms. Pierce.”

“Thank you,” she responded shyly.

“You know, because of you, we’re in sync again. You helped us do something we haven’t been able to do in years, and it’s something we will always be grateful for.”

Sterling’s eyes seemed to dance. “Yeah, you reunited me with my best friend. It’s been hard to be without you, but we understand we didn’t treat you like we should have.”

“I’ve definitely noticed the change. It means more to me than you know.” A lump formed in her throat. “I love you both so much. I just had to leave because you wanted me to choose and I can’t.”

Jordan caressed her face. “And we couldn’t choose who would be with you because we’re both so deeply in love with you, Morgan. Not having you with us, it feels like a part is missing.” Her bottom lip quivered, and she looked down at her shoes. “Come on, Morgan, please look at us.” She looked up and saw the sadness in their eyes.

“We never meant to hurt you. You know that, right?” Sterling said.

Unable to take it anymore, Morgan cleared her throat and stepped away. “Excuse me,” she said, ignoring the panic that had set in their eyes.

“Little Red. Please. Just give us a chance to get it right for once. Please.”

Walking off the dance floor, Morgan felt Rachel grab her by the arm and pull her out of the room. “You okay, Rach? You need me to hold your dress while you pee?”

“Yes, I do, but that’s not why I pulled you out. What the fuck are you doing, Morgan?”

“Huh?”

“No stop. Those two love you. It’s my wedding, and they couldn’t keep their eyes off you.”

“I’m sorry.”

Rachel rolled her eyes. “I don’t want you to apologize. I want you to admit that you miss them and take them back.” Morgan’s lips parted. “Don’t look at me like that. What more do you want them to do? You asked them to work through their bullshit and get better. They are in sync, and not just with one another, but somehow with you, too. You wanted them to learn to appreciate you. They do. You wanted them to acknowledge what they did wrong. They did. What else do you want?”

“I want reassurance that I won’t get hurt again!”

“Can you assure them you won’t hurt them?” she asked, and Morgan pursed her lips. “I say this with love and light. What you want is a fantasy, not what you need.” She pointed out to Sterling and Jordan. “You have two men who love you so much that they got their asses beat until they figured out how to be better for you and for themselves.”

“I know…”

“This isn’t like when we were human. We don’t have the option to just keep stringing people along. You’re Luna, and whether or not you like it, you have to make a choice. Either take them back or let it go, but baby sis, you need to decide. It’s not fair to them.” Morgan knew her sister was right. She was being unfair. Yes, they’d hurt her, but she also had a duty to Dark Moon, and she needed to decide. “Whether or not you choose to be with them, you’re strong and we both know you will be okay, but you need to choose, Morg. Not just for them, but to give yourself peace.”

Morgan wiped the tears from her face and hugged her sister. “Thank you.”

“What are sisters for? Now please help. I have to pee something serious.”

After helping Rachel in the bathroom, Morgan rejoined the party. In search of Sterling and Jordan, she realized she’d forgotten to ask them something. Spotting them, she approached. “Is it true Klaus and his twin George beat your asses?”

“Who told you that?! Was it Elijah? That little shit! They did not *beat our asses*, Little Red.”

She smirked and pointed at Klaus and George. “Well, maybe I’ll go ask them.”

“No!” they shouted in unison.

“Mhm, that’s what I thought.” Cackling, she left to do a little thinking.

Sterling looked at Jordan. “Little fucker is telling what happened. Okay, all bets are off. I don’t care if it’s his wedding.”

“Sterling…”

It was too late. Sterling yelled at Terrence. “Hey Turnemloose! Your son said your neck skin buttons are subpar, and he knows someone who makes them better than you ever could!” The look of terror on Elijah’s face made Sterling smile with glee.

“WHO THE HELL YOU TALKING ABOUT, ‘LIJAH?! WHO MAKES NECK SKIN BUTTONS BETTER THAN ME?! YOU BETTER TELL ME RIGHT NOW. I’LL STRETCH THEIR SKIN OVER THIS DAMN CHANDELIER!”

Elijah glared at Sterling. “Fuck you, Sterling! Dad, I-I didn’t say that!” His words fell on deaf ears as Terrence’s angry face stormed towards him. He took off running with the massive wolf in tow. “I didn’t say that dad! I swear! I didn’t say that!”

*Later*

Fresh from the shower, wearing nothing but a towel around his waist, Jordan walked over to his brother, who was sitting at his suite desk.

Staring hard at the checkbook in front of him, Sterling whined, “I can’t get the right numbers.”

“That’s because you keep forgetting the zero.”

“Ugh, why do I have to balance my checkbook? This is dumb.”

“Because you can’t remember what you spent 100k on last month.”

“Didn’t Little Red spend 20k on your credit card without you knowing?”

“Why are you bringing up old stuff?” Sterling chuckled and Jordan pushed him. “Here, move, give me this and then go back to your own room!”

“But yours is so much better.”

“It’s the same room. Now get up.” Trading places, Jordan put his glasses on and started calculating the numbers. “Sterling, please explain why you spent 5k on a damn peacock?”

Hearing a knock on the door, Sterling left to answer it. “I liked the one the guy had in the rap video,” He admitted lowly, and Jordan rolled his eyes.

On the other side of the door, Morgan stood, fidgeting back and forth. Seeing Sterling, she exhaled. “Oh, great, you’re here. I don’t have to link you to come over.”

“I don’t understand.”

She pulled him down and covered his mouth with hers. Storming past him, she screamed out, “Jordan! Where the hell are you?!” Finding him sitting at the desk, she straddled him, and kissed him, her entire body shaking.

He grabbed her shoulders. “Breathe Ms. Pierce,” he said.

Morgan shook her head, and let out a forceful no. “Not this time.”

“Are you sure about this?”

“Oh yeah, I’m sure.”

Sterling kissed the top of her head. “Well then, I’ll see you soon, Little Red,” he whispered and then exited to the other part of the suite.

Morgan turned her attention to Jordan. “Where do I have to mark you guys?” she asked.

Leaning in, he tapped the back of her ear. “Either side, Honey.”
