CHAPTER 5

I woke up feeling sick with a slight headache, but I was distracted seeing myself in a very big bedroom, painted orange and grey, the ceiling was painted glitter white and the floor was made of a shining polished wood-like material. It doesn’t look like I have been here before and now I can’t figure out how I got here. I am also in a very big round neck top that must be touching my knee then I screamed.

“Shut up!!!!” a male voice shouted which got me startled and when I looked at my right side, I saw Bran doing push up.

Bran!!!! I screamed again and jumped out of the bed and then on my feet and ran to a corner trying to cover the revealing part of my laps that the big round neck didn’t cover.

“so annoying,” he said looking at me with disgust and continued his push up “what am I doing here you jerk!!” I yelled “Oh, drunk girl, I can see you are coming to your senses” he replied without stopping

“you called me a drunk?” I asked yelling on top of my voice as I began to feel anger raging down my spine “Tell me, Norah, what will a drunk do?” he asked calmly standing on his feet and looking as cold as ever as he went to stand against the nearest wall.

“He just called you a drunk!!”

“Are you willing to let that go?”

I can hear Beatrice whispered to me

I jumped from where I was standing and landed myself on his waterbed

“I am going to kill you” I yelled while he nodded to me to proceed I jumped off the bed and rolled my fingers into a very tight fist. I held out my right leg forward aiming to kick his balls and give him a knockout but to my highest disappointment, he got hold of my right leg making me stand on one leg, and then he used the other hand to squeeze my wrist and turned it to another direction.

“You are done for, drunkard” he whispered to me before he let go making me land on my back. He came on top of me and looked straight into my eyes. His blue eye looking as beautiful as ever and he has a very sharp jaw and a face that looks like I am really seeing the one and only prince charming. The odor of his cologne became very strong as he continued to move closer till I can feel his breath on my nose.

He is going to kiss you? Omg!

I immediately turned away my face and he smiled, picking me up from the ground and back to my feet.

“Welcome to my room,” he said

This idiot is so bipolar Norah “Why am I here?” I asked

“you actually got drunk yesterday and you really messed things up” he replied looking me in the eye but coldly “what did I do?” I asked shakenly hoping I didn’t talk about Kia to anyone “You called Kia a sadist and a demon, bitch!” he retorted I felt tears running down my cheek and I couldn’t imagine I did something so gross “see we all don’t know much about Kia and we have seen him in different states or conditions” he looked down and continue “he won’t tell us anything, he would rather tell us to let him be and in most cases, he has been suicidal” he concluded now calmly, and he dragged me to the bed then sat me down while he sat close beside me.

“I wouldn’t have done that trust me; I am so sorry,” I said crying

“But Kia left home early this morning to somewhere he never told us” he responded The sound of the opening door interrupted us, and I can see happy Kiki and sad looking Fed.

“Finally, you are awake” Kiki shrieked as she ran toward me and pull me into a very tight hug I sobbed into her shoulder and she patted my back “it is fine Norah; we all knew you were under the influence of alcohol” she mumbled “I am a disgrace and I never deserve love” I cried more and with that Kiki let go of me and Fed drew me closer to him making me rest my head on his chest “We love you, Norah,” he said and continued, “Bran asked that you should sleep in his room” he concluded.

I looked at Bran and then I looked down myself while Bran nodded and walked toward the door “Why don’t we go and meet Mathis in the sitting room?” Bran said while we nodded in agreement We all headed down the stairs and Fed was still holding me, and I can feel my temperature rising as I started to feel dizzy, so I closed my eye.

“look who is awake” Mathis said with a smirk which got me startled as I opened my eye to see we have gotten to the sitting room “Kia” I rumbled as tears started rolling down my face again “stop it, Norah, Kia is a real mad dog” Mathis replied as he busted into an evil laugh “he is our very dear friend, and you dare not say that to him!” Fed yelled “Take a chill pill man, I was only joking,” Mathis said as he walked closer to me and gave me a peck while I noticed a change in Bran’s face Does he have a problem with Mathis pecking me?

“Okay guys, I will go make us something to eat” Kiki offered and left the sitting room while Mathis followed her “I will join you” he rumbled and smiled Fed sat me down and I smiled at him while Bran took a seat opposite me and Fed on the side.

“Why aren’t you people mad at me for what I did to Kia” I asked curiously “because you are still new to him and that is your first time seeing him like that” Fed responded patting my shoulder “technically you were drunk, and you said a lot of things, we felt you were right about Kia,” Bran said looking at Fed and then at me.

Mathis came back, serving us each a cup of tea and later Kiki came to join us and then changed the topic. I learned Mathis and Fed have always been with Bran more than their parents, and Bran’s parents took care of them more when they were small and now their parents have finally divorced and all they do is load their account with money. Bran lost his mother to an accident last year and after 3 months his father got married to another woman who took him away and left only Bran at home. The only thing Bran’s father loves to do is to also load his account with money. Kia was known to have a father, but the mother wasn’t known yet, the reason why he fled from his father’s house is still unknown to them. I told them about my uncaring parents also and Kiki told us beautiful experiences about her parents and about how business took them to South Korea now and she is all left alone too.

We all got to know we are lonely kids left to survive alone by their parents.

We later gathered at the dining table to eat and celebrate our lonely lives “cheers to six lonely kids whose parents only load their account with money” Fed shouted “cheers!!!!!” we all said in sync and laughed.

We all hoped Kia returned home soon and I agreed it wasn’t me that sent him away “who is in for the pool” Bran called out looking as happy as ever and I must say he looked so handsome when he is happy and active “I am” Fed replied “Me too” Kiki screamed as always Fed looked at me and stood up “I love water!!” he said happily I looked down at my body and realized I am still in Bran’s clothes. I looked up at him and he gestured to me to go on.

“lets us all compete because I can’t wait to beat your asses,” I said looking at others to agree “nice idea!” everyone said in sync and we all ran to the pool We stayed in the pool for like four hours where I won all the three competitions we did, and it was really fun. We all left the pool to get changed and I also headed to Bran’s room to get my dress while Kiki is using Kia’s room since he left home already so she has the room to herself.

“Thanks for these clothes Bran, where is my stuff?” I asked as he was heading to the bathroom “check my closet” he responded as he started taking off his clothes till only his boxers remained on him.

“wow, abs”

“It must be hard and warm to touch you know?”

“yeah yes, what if I am also a guy with six packs too”

“trust me being a girl is the dopiest thing”

“what do you know?”

“I know everything you knew”

“I am just 17, I shouldn’t be getting overwhelmed by a guy’s body”

“It is actually very normal, you know?”

“shut it there”

“why?”

“seventeens aren’t allowed to know anything like that”

“Have you forgotten about adolescence?”

“oh, look who is teaching me what I learned myse….”

“don’t you think taking a picture will last longer?” Bran asked and then I realized I have been drooling over him. I felt so embarrassed and I just have to look down at my feet “Whe…whe...whe…where did you say they are” I stammered “closet” he muttered and walked to the bathroom I stripped off his shirt and put on my clothes.

“Put the shirt in the laundry basket” he shouted from the bathroom

“I won’t” I screamed back at him and picked up the cloth.

I dropped the shirt in his laundry and I quickly ran out of his room because I still feel so embarrassed for the other time. I met others in the sitting room, and I asked Fed to send me Kia’s phone number because we have all agreed to start looking for him from tomorrow if he didn’t return home by the end of the day.

“Kiki, we have to get going,” I said making my way out of the door “why not wait to say bye to Bran” Mathis suggested “we see in school tomorrow,” Kiki said noticing the urgency as she followed behind The guys saw us to the door and waited till will pull out of the parking lot.

Kiki dropped me at home, and I opened the door to see something I never expected.
