Chapter 133 Elena Is Pregnant

Chapter 133 Elena Is Pregnant

"Preston, let go! Are you insane? Are you really going to kill her?"

Violet saw Elena's cheeks turning purple and quickly grabbed Preston's arm, trying to pull him away.

Preston released Elena and shook his hand in disgust, as if he'd touched something filthy.

Elena's legs gave out, and she crumpled to the floor. Watching Preston's revolted expression, she smiled bitterly and spoke with a hint of madness. "Getting disgusted with me now? You couldn't get enough of kissing me when we were in bed together. A little late for regrets, don't you think?"

Hearing her provocation in every word, a vein throbbed violently at Preston's temple. He glared at her with vicious eyes. "You're asking for it!"

Elena touched her aching neck, lips curving slightly. "That's exactly why I came to find you—because I don't want to die."

Violet's anger flared at the sight of Elena. "Half the company's scandals are because of you. If you don't want to die, then get lost. We haven't even settled the score for what you pulled at the birthday party, and here you are showing up on our doorstep."

Elena wasn't the least bit surprised to see Violet's changed attitude.

After all, from the very beginning, Violet had only cared about the baby in her belly—she'd never cared about Elena herself.

Ever since Preston discovered what she'd done, she'd completely let go of any pretense.

Facing their contempt, she felt no embarrassment whatsoever. Instead, she stood up, smoothed out her sleeves and hair, and said coolly, "Don't treat me like this. You might regret it."

Violet spat at her. "Regret over you? You must still be dreaming."

Elena let out a crazed laugh, her hand moving to caress her flat stomach. "Of course not for me. What am I in your eyes? Nothing. What you treasure most is your precious grandson."

Violet noticed something was off about her state and leaned close to Preston's ear, whispering, "Has this woman lost her mind?"

The baby in her belly was long gone—what grandson was she talking about?

Preston also sensed something wrong with Elena. Thinking back to everything that happened last night, his mind went blank.

He had a vague feeling that Elena wouldn't have risked everything to show up here just to sleep with him once.

He clenched his fists, his gaze suddenly locking onto her. "What the hell did you do?"

Seeing that he'd finally caught on, Elena's lips curved into a triumphant smile. "What could I have done? Become your wife, of course. I know you look down on me, that you think my only use is bearing your children. So naturally, I had to make the most of my remaining value."

With that, she lifted Preston's hand and pressed it against her stomach, asking softly, "Do you prefer a son or a daughter?"

Preston frowned and jerked his hand back. "You're insane."

Elena didn't get angry at his insult. She walked leisurely to the sofa and sat down, saying with a bright smile, "I'm not insane. I drugged you last night—a drug that guarantees conception. I'm definitely carrying your child now."

Preston's face turned iron-dark. "You crazy woman, are you looking to die?"

He grabbed Elena's wrist and dragged her up from the sofa. "You think I'll want you just because you give birth to this child? Impossible. Even if you are pregnant, I'll make you get rid of it. Only Sophie deserves to bear my children. Don't you ever think otherwise!"

Elena cried out as his merciless grip made her wrist throb with pain. Biting her lip, she said, "What if I told you the drug's side effect is that you'll never be able to father another child for the rest of your life?"

Preston froze mid-drag, his eyes nearly splitting with rage as he glared at Elena. "You... you..."

He was too furious to speak.

Violet reacted faster than him, raising her hand and slapping Elena hard across the face. "This is deliberate harm—poisoning! I... I'm calling the police. I'll have them arrest you!"

Elena's lip split from the blow, but she didn't care.

She stuck out her tongue, tasted the blood, and smiled. Looking at Preston, she said, "Still don't want this baby?"

Preston's expression was taut. "You're just trying to trick me."

Elena smiled. "Suit yourself. You can go get tested. But I'm warning you—this baby in my belly might be your only bloodline in this world. If you don't want him, you'll never have your own child again."

Seeing how certain she sounded, Violet grew afraid before Preston did.

She bit her lip, looked at her son, grabbed his wrist, and said in a low voice, "Don't gamble with her. This lunatic's backed into a corner—there's nothing she won't do."

"Mom, you're actually buying her lies?"

Violet urgently tried to stop Preston. "Either way, let's go to the hospital first. One test will tell us if she's lying or not."

Preston had never been so controlled by anyone. Looking at Elena's smug smile, he clenched his jaw.

If he really let her succeed, it would be the greatest humiliation of Preston's life.

Sophie's life gradually returned to calm after Matthew left.

She followed Matthew's arrangement and sought out Master Harris to continue pursuing her design dreams.

Master Harris had founded his own brand overseas, with hundreds of employees under him.

Sophie was young and beautiful, and with her unclear background, people's distrust of her was natural.

But at least she'd been personally brought to the studio by Master Harris, so no one dared truly mistreat her.

Over the past month, Sophie had been busy integrating into the studio, and time had flown by.

"Sophie, not clocking out yet?" Angel emerged from Master Harris's office and, seeing Sophie still seated at her computer, walked over and tapped lightly on her desk.

Sophie snapped back to attention, looked up at the beautiful, vivacious woman, and smiled. "Just have a bit more work to finish."

Angel advised, "Don't work overtime and stay up late. Master Harris hates people who are too slow. If he catches you working overtime, you're done for."

Sophie nodded, knowing Angel meant well.

This past month had been enough time to prove her abilities to everyone, and her relationships in the studio were quite good now.

"I'll finish up as quickly as I can."

Angel nodded. "I'm heading out then."

Sophie watched her leave, then redirected her attention back to the computer.

Despite promising not to stay too late, by the time Sophie finished all her work and clocked out, it was already ten at night.

She raised her hand to massage her aching back, yawned, grabbed her ID badge, and locked the studio door.

Just as she stepped outside, her phone rang unexpectedly.

She looked at the name on the caller ID and answered.

"Hello." Her voice was hoarse, exhaustion evident.

Matthew's steady voice came through. "You worked overtime again?"

Sophie's overtime had become routine—Matthew was used to it by now. "Yeah, just left the studio. Why are you calling at this hour?"

Matthew was silent on the other end for a long while before finally speaking. "Elena's pregnant. The baby is Preston's."
