ZENEVIEVA
"Let go of me!" I yelled and flinged my hands in the opposite direction.
"You can't stay mad forever Zenevieva, I did what I had to do."
"By agreeing to the fact that I poisoned them, you prefer your selfish feelings over my own identity? What the hell is wrong with you Kyle?"
"I don't know okay, what I know is that I would do anything to get you out of here even if it means doing what I had to do today!" He fired back and I gasped.
Come to think of the fact that his presence would have made a huge difference but I was so naive not to uncover what he would do in that position.
I don't blame him but I'm mad at him, the others allegedly saw me as one killer who would do anything in the royal family which was the total opposite, I had to spill the fact that I possess the unique qualities of healing only for him to still admit that I had actually poisoned them.
That's selfish!
"That's so unthoughtful of you Kyle, you didn't care what I would feel, how hurt I would have and what they would think about me."
"Who cares about them Princess? I don't give a fuck cause I'm sure they don't. I just…want you out of here."
I scoffed.
"And you don't give a fuck whether I'm hurt by that statement you made back there or not, banishing me out just because I poisoned the King "
"Zenevieva…"
"Don't! I get it now, it's all about you."
"Never, I care about you crazily "
"No you don't!" I yelled at him and he flinched.
"If you do, you wouldn't act so rashly just to favour yourself and paint my image black before others."
"I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking."
I nodded, wiping my tears with the back of my hand.
"I wasn't thinking either, I was silly I could trust you to make things easier for me." I choked on my words and he ruffled his hair in frustration.
"Why are you all hot on me? Won't you do the same if you were In my shoes?"
"Jeez! Kyle , why would I do that when I don't even know what happened" I yelled, pacing around angrily.
"Look Zenevieva, I was in the midst of a whole elders and council of the pack. What would happen if I had favoured you after what happened between us? Don't you think that it would prove them right that the allegations placed on us were actually true. Tyson wanted you out, the whole council were actually with him so what do you gain by staying to save an image you can't protect?
That was my perfect opportunity to make you leave so I could have you and I acted forgetting how you might have felt. What do you want me to do?"
He was right, In fact, too right that I cursed.
Everyone wanted me out, Collette, Tyson, the whole council and nobody was there to defend me except Tyler.
He couldn't stop them either and he badly wanted me out, I would have wanted him out too.
I was just too worried about what others would think about me.
"You're right." I blurted out and face and down while he sighed and came nearer to me.
"You know I wouldn't hurt you on purpose right?"
His voice was husky as he tilted my head upwards to face him and I nodded.
He kissed my forehead and I exhaled deeply.
He liked me a lot and I do but……it's not possible.
What the queen Goddess said hit me like a volcano. I wished there was a special golden plaque to reject such orders from her.
How the heck am I going to get an Heir for Tyson who wants me dead at any chance he gets.
"So are you going to stay?"
"I have to, I need to see the Queen and check the King's health. I need to confirm that they're okay and Tyson…..he kinda changed his mind."
He scoffed.
"I'll take the first one but the latter is definitely not getting into my head. He accepted your banishment."
"Kyle…" my voice was desperate. "I like you a lot."
He snaked his arm around my waist and pulled me closer to him.
"And I love you….but you're scared about what the moon goddess said right?"
He asked and I nodded as tears pooled my eyes.
"I am too, I'm definitely going crazy but I don't want to think about that, not yet. Can you please do that? Let's just continue as if she never said and accept whatever comes our way."
"Kyle….I"
"Zenevieva…. please, let's just live at a time and accept whatever hits us thereafter."
I swallowed the lump forming on my throat and I nodded, reeling me off my balance in shock. He crashed his lips on mine and kissed me hungrily and I returned every Intensity to him, kissing him furiously until he broke off and we both gasped for air.
"Run along, before I kidnap you with me."
"Thanks Kyle. Don't get hurt" He chuckled and I turned back and ran back to the pack, knowing he was watching my every move.
The first person I looked for is Tyler, he's more like my backbone nowadays and getting attached to him is something I don't want to get used to.
He was standing with the pack guards and I went over to meet him.
"Good Moons! I thought you banished yourself!" He exclaimed and I chuckled.
After he dragged me out from the midst of their heated fight, he asked me to wait outside the royal meeting room for him while he checked on them before they did something silly.
I couldn't stay at one place, so I went out of the palace gate and decided to take a stroll to clear my head of the turmoil that was going on until I saw Kyle.
"I'm sorry, I stepped out and had a chat with Kyle"
"Kyle?" He scoffed and I nodded.
"That dude needed you out by all means and it was annoying."
"I know, he kind of apologized." He rolled his eyes at me and licked his lips.
"You know you guys can't be together right, you should just stop or one of you will get terribly hurt "
My heart slammed heavily at his statement and tears burned the back of my eyes.
"I know." I swallowed the lump in my throat and he sighed.
"The Queen is going crazy looking for you."
My eyes shoot up in surprise at once.
"Is she up already?"
"Yeah, go check up on her. She's aware of everything that happened and going ballistic on Tyson."
"Shit. I'll be right back and Tyler?" I called and he turned.
"Yeah.."
"Thank you for everything."
He flashed me the most beautiful smile and nodded while I ran to the Queen chambers.
She wasn't there in her room and in the living room, Tyler said she was mad at Tyson.
That could only mean that she was in his room so I headed to his room as fast as possible but halted in my tracks at the screaming voices.
"Break the bond Tyson!" That was Collette and I frowned.
Was she referring to Tyson?
"I'll try." He replied and the snort that came out from her lips was so rotten in disgust.
"You're so despicable Tyson, if you think that a rogue will claim that seat or you as a Luna, then I'd rather die and watch you get hurt again!"
Again?
When was he hurt?
"I'll never marry her Collette, I know you're watching out for me and all that but…I need an heir from my mate."
"No way! You're suffering from a severe heartache from trying to help some rogue from that silly pack your so called mate came from and she stabbed you straight at the heart to get back at what dad did to her family.
You think I will forget the pain you passed through, the hurt in your eyes just because of your stupid generosity for a total stranger in the woods. Now you think I will sit and watch another descendant taking control of the throne in my existence, if I have to kill her…I will do so Tyson!"
"That's enough Collette! Stop it , it's all in the past " He roared and I trembled at where I stood.
"Your heart aches and burns, is it still in the past? Didn't you collapse here last night after having a hot argument with mum and when that witch broke that table on you. I'm keeping this from mum because you asked me not to spill a word but up till now you're still suffering, and you think I will sit and keep quiet while that witch takes over?
She's destroyed the unity of this home ever since she took over and I'll not let her take over that throne or accept her as my sister In law!! Never!"
She slammed heavily and I shook in despair unable to digest everything she just said.
"Collette, I'm fine. Trust me, I will be fine."
"Don't tell me shit! I'll make sure you're treated through mum's help but I'll Kill Zenevieva the day I see her on this bed with you talkless of having her child.
I will kill her!!"
I let the last tear drop and I hurriedly scurried away to my room and slowly walked towards the bed.
I sat down slowly and everything came to me in heavy torrents of emotions as I let loose and
cried my heart in utmost pain.
That girl….that girl in the woods, the girl she's talking about, about Tyson saving her and stabbing his heart, that girl is me.
