CHAPTER 78
ZENEVIEVA’S POV
If anger could kill, Tyson would have killed everyone of us in this room with his reaction towards Kyle's presence.
My heart danced in ecstasy that he came around, at least my so-called ugly judgement would be minimised or dismissed.
He smiled at me but I could only gaze at him with the corner of my eye. I didn't want to stare at the faces of these people who think and act so dumb as long as Tyson gives the orders.
Call me silly, but I don't want to be banished.
This is where I belong, I know my mate is an ass but damn that. The moon goddess considered my ill fate and approved of me to be his queen and no one else.
The Queen loves me and the King is getting better. I'm slowly wielding authority here no matter what Tyson does, he can't deny the fact that I possess one. Collette can't deny that and that's why she's so pissed. The thought of seeing Marcella with Tyson after I leave or them being together as King and Queen pisses me off as hell!
My wolf is comfortable being here even though she reacts so silly when we are close to Tyson.
I like Kyle….a lot but not to the extent of leaving where I'm meant to stay, I wanted to flee with him initially but that would be so silly.
I don't know anything about his Pack and how I will be treated. Will his parents accept me? Will I be accepted since I'm not his mate?
The 90 days deal with Tyson scares me as hell but I'll accept it when the time comes or trash it out and claim him.
I know I sound silly but that's how I feel right now, no matter what Tyson does to me, I've found this place as my home.
"She poisoned the king and Queen "
One of the elders answered and he gasped.
"Why would she do that?"
Thank you Kyle, why the hell would I do that?
"Because she always has her evil ulterior motives, so do the needful and let me get the hell out!" Tyson slammed.
"I want to know what happened to the King and Queen."
"Herb's poisoning with the King, food poisoning with the Queen."
"I wasn't asking any of you?" He fired at the elder and they kept shut.
He turned to me.
"Raise your head and speak princess. "
I swallowed and slowly raised my head.
"She's the Queen idiot! I've warned you not to call her that!" Tyson slammed his fist at the table making a loud bang and he flared at Kyle but he ignored him and focused his gaze on me.
"What happened?"
"I don't know, the herbs I usually give him were exchanged for something else!"
"Liar!" Collette screamed and Kyle's Sharp gaze at her made her cowered as she rolled her eyes and kept shut.
"Continue…"
"It was until after I gave him before I realised that it wasn't the medicine I had prepared for him."
"Why would you give him that?" He raised his brows.
"He was sick."
"I know, I meant why would you give him something you're not sure of? That's an offence Princess, that's only meant for his physicians and healers."
I swallowed.
"He was sick, and none of his so-called physician's could do anything. I had to."
"As What?"
"Kyle?" I gasped, Why would he ask me such in the presence of all these morons? In Fact the whole place became quiet as they were eager to listen to my conversation.
I turned to look at Tyler and he gave me a go ahead.
"I'm a healer!"
Collette couldn't help but burst out in fresh laughter while I couldn't miss the scoff sound in Tyson's throat but Kyle remained impassive.
"Why isn't anyone aware of that?" He pressed on like a grumpy judge.
"I couldn't tell anyone okay, can we just skip this part?"
"No, it's where you hide your skills and use it illegally on the King resulting in this mess. That's another great offence."
The elders nodded and I bit my lips in pain.
"What happened to the Queen?" He continued.
"I don't know, she was poisoned as they claimed."
"By what?"
"The wolf's bane."
"How on earth is that still existing!" He gasped and I'm glad that he reacted to that.
"I need proof" He turned to Tyson. "I want to see this poison myself."
Tyson pursed his lips and whispered some words to his men and the whole conversation came to an abrupt halt until the chief maid came inside with a little bottle.
This witch!
I knew she was up to something when she kept insisting on helping out.
She bowed at Tyson and at Kyle, before glancing at me.
"So they said you saw when she used that, how did you know?"
"I didn't know, I just know she Included this before taking it to the Queen. The King had sent me on an errand when she added this."
Kyle turned to face me.
"Did you touch that bottle?" I turned to stare at it and I frowned.
"Yes, that's the table salt container.".
He cursed.
"What made you go near the container if you think you don't know about it? It's obvious she might know what she did but it is so strange to conclude it's as the wolfsbane poison. In Fact, open it."
He ordered and she did so and I gasped.
It was salt but a very tiny bottle came out with the contents in it. A green syrup had mixed up with the salt and I innocently gave it to the Queen.
Tears filled my eyes.
"So that's it, you knew it was a poison and purposely let her use it."
She gasped.
"No, I ….I didn't."
"Stop saying rubbish Kyle, it's obvious Zenevieva is the main culprit. Who would have known that she fixed the poison in the salt." Tyson fired at him instead.
"Then how the hell did she know that something was wrong with the salt? How did she come up with the idea that it's a wolfsbane poison? When it's just a harness salt?
Look, this is my final approval and judgement of this case." Kyle cleared his throat and stared at me straight in the eyes while talking.
"Zenevieva poisoned the King while the chief maid poisoned the Queen.
That's a very abominable act and they are banished from the Mudville Pack as required by the Law. Anyone who would dare in the Law and judgement should get ready to face the co
nsequences."
He slammed and stared intently at me and hot balls of tears rolled down my cheeks.
No way!
He didn't say that.
