CHAPTER 16
ZENEVIEVA
Her jaw dropped and she stared at me confusingly.
"What do you mean by that?" She asked again.
"Tyson asked me to tell you that I tore my clothes because I don't like them. If not, my life will be hot."
I said and her hands flew to her mouth in a confused shock.
"Come…let's go inside." She whispered and dragged me inside.
Tyson wants to play a game right, I'm fully prepared for him.
At least now that my destiny isn't tied to him yet, I will never succumb to his will freely. The only thing that will make me give up is death.
I've faced worse scenarios in the woods and forest alone, fighting off wild animals and hunting wild fruits to survive. I won't just let some arrogant Prince stamp my dignity away just because I'm fated to him.
"What happened to the dress?" She asked me calmly as soon as I entered.
"It's torn my Queen."
"By who?" She asked me and I pursued my lips, wondering how to tell her.
"Tyson has an idea, that's why he asked me to relay that message to you."
She cursed.
"Where's Tyson now?"
"I have no idea, My Queen"
She sighed and bit her lips hard as if thinking of what to do next.
"I'll get you a new one even if that seems so impossible right now. The sky is dark and the moon is so full, I don't know how possible it will be to send words to the next pack for that particular design.
That's what I want you to wear even if it isn't the same color.
"Where's the pack?"
She smiled at me.
"I'm not going to send you Zenevieva, I'll try the guards."
"I'll go, don't worry; my wolf can manage."
"Zenevieva, I'm not letting you stress yourself!"
"Believe me you're not, I just want to. I've been confined here ever since I came here, I'm sorry if it's too much…I just want to run."
I confessed and she sighed.
"Fine " She went to the inner room and gave me a gold plaque.
"Go with two guards as soon as you show them this plaque. You need to go to the white Cave pack and ask for the designer over there. As soon as you see her, show her the plaque and she will show you her store.
Then, you can choose as many as you want."
She smiled at me and I grinned.
"Thanks a bunch! I'll go right away." I said and bowed.
Without wasting any more seconds, I fled out of the room.
My wolf was excited and I couldn't be more satisfied.
I starved her of getting free, stretching her bones, and hitting her paws as she wanted.
I missed running, the feel of the air slapping my hairy skin was always eccentric.
I giggled and jumped joyfully, not looking up until I bumped into someone.
"Ah!! What's with the clumsiness? " I muttered until that whip of familiar scent hit my nose.
"Did you tell her?" His deep baritone voice vibrated and I raised my head to face him.
"Mm…she looks utterly displeased."
"Then why are you…all giddy?"
"It's none of your business, Tyson, I have errands to run!"
I fired at him and got away from him but he held my arm.
His eyes were looking dangerous as he dug into my soul with his intense stare.
"What did you tell my mum?"
I sighed and dug my hands into my silky hair.
"Ugh!! Exactly what you told me to tell her!! Can you let me go?" I yelled at him and it got the attention of other guards.
He grabbed the plaque from me and gasped.
"The Queen's plaque!"
"Give me that back!"
"Why would she give you these, gosh! This woman! What sort of trust is this for her to give you her symbol of authority?"
I was getting furious and irritated, he was blocking my path.
"I'm not giving this to you!"
"You won't dare Tyson!"
He gasped.
"Really, with my mum's property?"
"She gave it to me!" I yelled at him.
"And I'm taking it back from you, this is not some toy for you to play with so back off "
I gave a loud frustrating gasp and screamed.
"I never said it's a toy, you weren't deaf when I said I was sent an errand!"
"Get the fuck out of my face bitçh!" He yelled and walked out leaving me in total dismay.
I shivered in anger and tears welled my eyes.
Why did I ever have to bump into him?
I sniffed and looked confused.
The wedding is tomorrow and I still need the dress.
I'm not going back.
I maneuvered my way from the guards and disappeared into the dark woods.
It was dark and eerie but I could care less.
I slowly stripped and took off my clothes, this is one of the most precious attire I've gotten through the Queen.
I won't ruin it through my shift.
I glanced around to make sure no one was in sight and crouched to the ground, waiting for the familiar feeling to take over.
My bones snapped and twisted in places and my furs were peering out, I closed my eyes feeling my wolf surging through and It gave a loud cry at the full transformation.
Without batting an eyelid, She ran.
Savaging through the woods and enjoying the feel of the air flapping her hair backwards with slappy sounds at every contact with the leaves that covered the paths.
I knew the White Cave Pack well but I decided to play dumb with the Queen.
There's no way I'll explain to her that I was once in the woods lurking around for survival and knowing almost every pack.
I reached the pack and shifted back fully naked.
I felt so stupid for not taking my clothes in Mudville Pack as there was no way I would go looking like this.
I crawled my way into the neighborhood sneakily until I found random clothes hanging on the line of a huge mansion.
I care less, I'll just just deliver the message and I hope they believe me without the gold plaque.
"Hi, good evening." I greeted a random stranger and bowed and she stared at me like a burnt offering.
I sighed in frustration and forced a smile.
"Who are you?"
"The Queen sent me from Mudville Pack."
"Liar!!" She stared at me up and down and gasped.
"Isn't this our Prince's royal attire?"
She screamed and drew all the attention of some passersby who gathered and stared at me awkwardly.
I pressed my lips tight and shook my head.
I shouldn't have come here without the Queen's plaque.
