The door of the dungeon clicked open and I became alert at once getting ready for what happened next but we were only dragged outside and the cool air hit my skin.
I was expecting Kyle to react immediately to them but he was surprisingly calm and I acted the same until we were pushed to the ground fiercely to meet with a woman I barely recognized.
I stared into her face to recall where I saw her but a heavy blow sent my face to the ground and I groaned in pain.
"My only motive was to take Kyle but you butted in and I couldn't take my eyes off you, darling. How can one be so cute?" Marcella's mum grinned.
"Why the actual fuck are you doing this?"
Kyle slammed calmly staring right into her eyes and no one dared touch him.
"If you needed to see me, why didn't you just request my presence rather than stooping so low to humiliate me and my friend." He continued.
"My daughter was humiliated!" She yelled.
"And how is that my business?" He retorted.
"It has everything to do with you being gorgeous, you're her mate!" She was only having it him at all
"Fuck all of you on this Pack!" Kyle growled that I could see his claws.
"Watch your tongue, Kyle, you won't stay there and insult me." This woman continued.
"And you think you will go scot-free for humiliating the Alpha of the Terrestrial pack right before you on his knees this moment?" He threatened but she scoffed.
"I'll take care of that Kyle, as long as you do what I want."She smiled sweetly at him.
"Ain't doing shit. Your daughter is none of my business." He slammed heavily.
"She's your mate and she's going to get killed by her so-called lover." Marcella's mum insisted.
"I wish she perishes in hell!" He scowled.
"Kyle?" She screamed and he yelled back heavily at her.
This woman was no other person than Marcella's mother from the way she kept screaming at Kyle about his mate.
Which could only mean that she was aware of her daughter's ugly scheme all this while.
"Don't drag me Into your shit woman!." He warned her, twitching his jaw recklessly.
"Never, you are the only one that can stand against Tyson to let her go, and not even a voice will be heard." She said confidently and I couldn't agree less.
"Oh really."Kyle chuckled.
"Yes Kyle, if you do this then I'll never disturb you for anything again." She insisted and pressed further.
Kyle scoffed and nodded his head.
"Fine, let me go then." He said calmly.
"I'll have my men go with you while this one remains here, when Marcella is back then I'll set him free and you both can go."
She said swiftly, glancing at me and Kyle chuckled.
"When Marcella is free, you'll threaten to kill him if I don't marry your daughter and still tie me down. Excuse me, do you know who you're talking to? You expect me to bring Marcella to you in peace while you hold him hostage." Kyle gasled at her.
"Just do it, Kyle, I'm sure you can come up with something."
I murmured to him but he had become deaf and vibrated in anger.
"If I get Marcella out of wherever she is, I'll kill her first for trying to hurt the woman I'm in love with and make her pay for everything she made her go through." He said loudly and I cursed. This guy was making things worse.
"How dare you?" She yells with disdain.
"Let me go so that everything would be in peace and you won't regret it " Kyle warned her but she had this stubborn glint in her eyes.
"I'll kill your brothers if you dare defy me." She warned.
"Go ahead, I'll gladly love to watch you go against them."
He said without flinching and I sighed in defeat. Kyle's confidence was top notch and it's going to get us killed.
Marcella's mum attacked him with her voice and ordered the guards to kill him which sent me into a raw panic.
"My daughter asked me to kill you but I thought I could give you a benefit of doubt but you failed." She said sadly.
I swallowed hard and stared at Kyle who wasn't even dazed as guards gathered around us and I was hoping he does something before I freak out from immense fear.
"Kill them both and dispose of their bodies, I'll look for another means to get my daughter out." I froze at her stat6bit Kyke remained immobile.
They all bowed at once and came forward and cursed because my hands were tied.
At Least I would have fought before giving up to them. I was so tempted to scream at Kyle for being so nonchalant at everything and putting our lives at stake but I swallowed it and got prepared.
I waited for their next line of action as the guards spread themselves and waited until she was out of sight before coming face-to-face with Kyle.
"What should we do with her?" They asked him and he replied.
"Throw her in the dungeon as soon as we are gone!"
I gasped in shock.
"She will request to see your body." The men responded.
"She won't do that If she's thrown in the dungeon, I don't want to kill her yet 'cause she has so much to reveal. Just make sure she doesn't escape and go back to the Terrestrial pack and tell my mum that I'm fine."
He said and the ropes were cut off from our hands and I stood up at once in shock.
"Your men were the ones adhering to her orders all this while?" I gaped at him in shock and continued."I can't believe that I've been worried for nothing!"
"I told you to relax but you got scared more than a cat itself." He scoffed.
"No, I was anxious and prepared for an attack if given the chance. We had that opportunity when she asked you to go to the Terrestrial pack but I got lost when you declined her request not knowing that you had a plan all this while." I can't believe I was worried for nothing.
"At Least you remember the rule of survival, let's head to Athens already. I'm sure Tyson must be worried.." He said, walking past me and I went after him.
"You never care about what he feels." I commented and he shrugged.
"Same way he never cared for my safety until now."
"Wow! How did you have your men work for her? I guess I still have a lot to learn from you." I asked him so curiously.
He smiled and I smirked.
'Would you go to Kill Marcella if given the chance?' I ask him.
"No, it hurts that I can't. She was my mate but I'll reward anyone who does that handsomely." He smirked.
"Her mum had been aware of her plans all along, I can't believe what the pack is turning to anymore." I shuddered at the sheer act of wickedness.
"Yeah, greed for power and wealth can make people insane."
He said and dragged my hands anxiously t
o head for Mudville pack and no matter how he tries to hide it from me, I know he had a little spike with the love of his life.
