Chapter 130
TYSON
"Are you coming or not?" Tyler yelled in the background outside and I yelled back, knowing that he clearly won't have time for delay especially when it was coming from me.
"I'm done, let me get my tools," I yelled back and reached out for my sword and hoped against all odds that Zenevieva was fine.
Knowing that she will see me as a monster haunted me all night that I could barely sleep.
My sister is going to get married to Ethan and I feel like shit all together, knowing that he's in love with Zenevieva and not with Marcella.
Was that how Zenevieva felt when I was having sex with Marcella right under her nose, what sort of monster am I? Even if she was not my mate, does she deserve such treatment?
My wolf and I had been battling with our inner minds to make me feel more terrible.
I'm a confused mess and I don't know what to make of that anymore.
I'll never make her feel normal around me, it's for sure but she should just be safe.
I felt some footsteps behind me while I took my belt to wrap it around my waist.
"You won't even look at me anymore." Marcella's pained and hoarse voice echoed in the room and I sighed
Not now, Marcella. Wrong timing.
"Tyson?"
"Please, can you not bring it up?"
"Are you truly giving up on us just like that?" She yelled in utmost pain and surprisingly, I didn't even feel guilty. No, I only pity her."
"I'll make it to you, I promise?"
"How? By getting married to that rogue and thrashing me out like some nonentity? How dare you do this time Tyson, you promised, I stuck to you and waited for years."
"That won't do now Marcella, I know you're hurt and I feel bad but I need to face reality already, I can't keep running from this. My whole pack and family lie solely on that girl's shoulders. I've tried to deny it severally that I won't be swayed by her but I'm fucking lying! The Pack is empty and sad without her presence.
I need Zenevieva."
I yelled without realizing how much emotion I was passing through those words I spewed.
"I'm sorry Marcella but I've tried a lot for you, for us to work but the whole universe is against it. Try and win Kyle back please, he's my worst enemy right now. Take your mate so he can leave mine alone!"
She gasped in shock and tears dropped down rapidly from her eyes.
"I can't believe you!"
I took my sword and turned my back to leave.
"Are you this monstrous?" She yelled.
"You just practically told me to fuck off after waiting for your pathetic ass!"
"You made me that monster and let me shut my eyes from doing the right thing from your emotional blackmail!" I slammed heavily.
"Even if Zenevieva wasn't my mate or even if she would never accept me, I can't have you. I don't even know what I was thinking of, defying my mum and others to marry you.
I can't feel anything when I'm with you, that feeling my dear, is dead!"
I stormed out only to see my sister blocking my path with a tray of juice in her hands.
"Whoa, it seems it's not going well with you two, I'll just take this back Instead."
I held her hands and took the juice and gulped it down, drinking more from the other cups till it was finished.
That would strengthen my body for the journey I was about to embark on.
"Is there more?" I asked her and she glared at me.
"Are you for real? Marcella made that juice for the both of you thinking that she will be able to claim you down to your senses but you've drunk it all and even mine.
"Suit yourselves, I have nothing to do with Marcella anymore, the same way you will have nothing to do with the Mudville pack soon."
She blushed while I took my cue and left her sight before I got pissed off.
The walk to god's nowhere was rather boring as we kept checking pack by pack, walking under the scorching sun to look for her which made me feel weak.
My heartbeat palpated as the fear of Zenevieva getting hurt or being dead overwhelmed my body.
I will never forgive myself, That's a fact. I will lose my throne cause I will never be with Marcella, I'll rather stay ordinary and be with the woman that gives me sparks and strange feelings than to be with someone who nags at all times.
Why am I just realizing that?
"Morning Rose pack."
Tyler muttered under his breath and I raised my face to look at him.
"What place is it?"
"I don't know, but Zenevieva had asked me to look at it and give her the details of the progress of the pack. She sounded so hurt and wounded as if something happened." He said nervously and I swallowed.
"So you think that she might be there?" I asked him and he nodded.
"No, I think that I haven't fulfilled my promise by checking in the pack as she requested." He bit his lips remorsefully, frowning deeply too.
"Jeez Tyler, we are looking for her and not the pack." I tried to remind him and he scowled.
"I am looking for her, you're doing this because…. because I don't even know! What the heck are you suddenly looking for?"
I shrugged and exhaled.
"I don't know either, just that the realization of my mate being killed because of my carelessness and attitude toward her hit me so hard like a ton of brickwork that I feel like shit."
"I like that sound, you will feel worse when she rejects you for life!" He slammed.
I nodded, feeling a lump in my throat.
"So can we just focus on the main cause of this journey, I just wish she's okay. I want to tell her that it's driving me crazy already, I just realized that I've been fighting myself all because of Marcella." I groaned and he scoffed.
"Why does it sound like you're regretting your actions towards her?" He frowned and I nodded.
"I am. Yeah, it's all of sudden but when I saw how my mum felt so bad, my dad went limp at her absence and my wolf badly howling for her, I knew I can't fight it anymore and hide under the facade of being a ruthless Alpha just because I have Marcella and she a rogue." I explained.
"Tell her that exactly when you see her and take a few steps away so she won't slap you okay?"
I chuckled and followed him as he stubbornly insisted that we went to Morning Rose Pack.
It looked familiar as soon as the breeze of the pack hits my nose
The pack was spacious with magnificent halls and little buildings but it was as quiet as a graveyard.
"Are you sure we are in the right place?"
I asked him, though he already asked some passersby the way and the exact location of the pack.
"I'm sure those people were not lying." He said as he took further steps.
A sharp pain slices through my stomach and I groaned in pain.
"Hey, are you okay?" Panic shot through his voice as he stared at me.
"Yeah…fuck…it hurts."
I whimpered as cold sweat broke through my forehead as the pain increased.
"Shit, are you sure you're okay? Why does it have to be now?"
He was so worried and I hated myself for making him feel that way and my body got words.
"Intruders!!" A loud yell jolted all of us as we were suddenly surrounded.
"We are not intruders," Tyson spoke, trying to act normal but his sole concern was on me as I crouched to the ground writhing in pain.
"He needs help, he's the King of Mudville Pack and we came here to find out something." Tyler said.
"Alpha Tyson?" They asked and he nodded eagerly.
"Good, we've got our core prisoners. Lock them up!" The Man ordered and my body gave way as I slowly slipped into a painful darkness.
