CHAPTER 126

CHAPTER 126

CHAPTER 126

ZENEVIEVA'S POV

I have been walking without any direction for days now, my feet were sore, my back ached terribly and my throat itched in thirst.
I kept seeing houses from afar and walking towards them thinking that I'll reach there, perhaps I see any kind of heart to spare water or food but it was the total opposite as nothing was found, I kept going farther and farther till I could walk no more.

I wonder where the hell Marcella told her men to keep me for me to be so lost in this manner. I will give her a pound of flesh to eat if I ever come across her existence again.
I lay there on the floor, feeling too weak to move, and prayed for a Miracle to happen.
My wolf was extremely tired and weak to even support so we both lay there, half dead.

After what seemed like hours, I heard voices that made my heart race in anticipation, hoping they would catch a glimpse of my dying soul and they would surely die. I couldn't see them but I heard their scent as they walked closer.

"Is she dead?"

One of them asked while I felt a hand by the crook of my nose.

"No, she's still breathing." Another replied.
"Take her then, we need more Prisoners!"

My eyes snapped open at once and I flinched in shock but they grabbed me up roughly.

"Who are you?"
I asked shakily but they stared at me strangely.

"She looks familiar!"

The one holding me said that I tried to withdraw from his grip but he yanked me hard with force. It's so useless fighting them, right now…I just need food and rest.

"Exactly, more like the Luna of Mudville!" He said as a matter of fact without darting his gaze off me.

They all gasped and had a great look at me, touching me weirdly while I just tossed to and fro with their movements.

"She's the one, bring her along. This would be perfect, she was our target all this while." He continued and I frowned.

"What target?" I retorted in shock but they only dragged me alongside them to a very familiar pack

Just as I remembered, the place had looked empty but why is it so filled with numerous activities? Where the heck is this place and why is my wolf howling in excitement as if we've been here before?

"Can I have water, please? " I pleaded at the stern-looking man whose glares could kill.

"Get her food and make sure she stays in the most comfortable rooms."
"Why?" The other slammed heavily.

"She's still Luna, we just have to be careful." He said and the others disagreed.

"Are you kidding me right now? Be careful.  When ours was massacred and burnt and our princess was nowhere to be found? We are going to kill her to spite Mudville and finally burn every of that pack to ashes."

He yelled.

"You think I don't know that? I don't act so rashly like you okay? We need her to make the King crumble to our demands so she needs to stay alive, so take her out and feed her now." He yelled back at the other who was throwing a disdainful gate at me.

"Did Mudville Pack hurt your pack?" I chirped in amid their argument.

"Shut the fuck up! They both yelled at me together and I swallowed.
They were angry for no reason and I knew instantly that they were the rogues Tyler and Tyson were looking for all this while.

"No matter what you do, it won't bring them alive. You're only hurting innocent people."

I blurted out.

"Throw her with the prisoners after she's fed, she talks too much."

He said and left while I was being dragged out to god's nowhere.

I ate hungrily at the meal presented before me to my satisfaction before I was thrown into the midst of the others who recognized me at once.

"Shh!!" I urged them to be quiet and throw away the silly titles.
I've regained a little strength and I just need ways to escape from these people.

"We need to leave this place," I tell them.
"But how?" One of the women lamented and continued. "The Pack is practically surrounded by bloodthirsty guards who seek nothing but revenge."

"Do you know where exactly we are?" I asked.

"I'm not sure but I know that they're in a quest to kill everyone or us and destroy the Mudville pack. It was said that the Pack was burnt to ashes and the princess fled without return."

My heart stopped beating at once as I stared blankly at the woman explaining this mystery.

"Yes." Another interjected. "It was said the King had passed the orders and they are going to reenact everything done to them after trying to build the pack back to its original shape."

I gasped.

No way! My heart clenched tightly in pain as tears pooled in my eyes.

"The pack…" I managed to say hoarsely.
"What's the name of the pack?"

"They call it Morning Rose when it's littered with Dark blood of vengeance."

She slammed and I bursted out crying, not able to hide my emotions anymore, rendering the people close to me in total confusion and shock.

"Are you okay?"
They asked hoarsely but I only wept bitterly.
I can't believe I'm in my pack after years of wandering around as a rogue and living as a slave. I thought I had lost everything and my pack but it's still right here.

Now they are so mad that they are seeking revenge which warms my heart at how loyal these people can be after decades.

But this is not the way forward, I need to stop them.

"I'm fine." I wiped my tears but they only stared at me strangely.

"I'll get you all out from here, I promise."
"How? We can only depend on the Alpha to do something!" The woman whined.

Tyson won't do shit! I wanted to yell out but the door to the dungeon was bounced open fiercely and the men troop in yanking all of us out in the dark.

"Where are you taking us to?" I asked bravely but a slap was whooshed to my cheeks.

I wanted to glare and yell at them, fight with them if possible to set us free but I just couldn't.
These people were reacting this way because of what had happened to their people and they were now venting out on innocent souls. It wasn't supposed to be so.

They were dragged to what seemed like a slab and my heart slammed heavily, hoping so badly that it had better not be what I'm thinking.

"You ask silly questions, you will watch your people die tonight."

He slammed loudly and retrieved his sword.
