Chapter 4 : Steven Salvatore

“ Dear Diary,

A lot has happened since I last wrote in my diary. Damon managed to open up the tomb with the help of Bonnie and her grams, He failed to get Katherine.. She was not in the tomb.. Where the hell was she this whole time? This means she knew Damon was looking for her and she still didn’t care for him at all..! Grams passed the night they opened the tomb, Bonnie has been a no show since.. Poor Bon… I feel so bad for her, A bunch of tomb Vampires have been out since then..! They tried to attack Stefan and I was helping our new History teacher Mr. Alaric Saltzman

Or Ric..

He is a very nice person.. Kinda felt like Dad..! Turns out he is a Vampire Hunter and Damon killed his wife.. But Damon turned her..! Ric was more into fighting Vampires so he got a bunch of cool stuff.. Stuff that caught my attention.. His enthusiasm is leading me to learn how to fight..

Just to protect myself from bad Vampires like those from the tomb..

Damon informed a lot about his favourite Ancestor …

Elena was helping Stefan get back to himself.. But drinking human blood made him lose his control.. Caroline won the beauty pageant and Stefan lost his control that night..! So Damon and Elena locked him up in their cellar.. Until Stefan is back to normal.. Mom and Dad want to move back.. But I insisted on staying here.. So they agreed and let me stay at my house.. And said they’d come check up on me every month.. And also this is my home now… !

And I didn’t meet that stranger… at all… in these past few days..!

I hope today is gonna be a good day..!”

Kate closed her diary, got downstairs and got ready to get out.. When she opened the door she found a note on her door mat.. “Never saw me again… Oh I’m not gone yet.. Give Damon and Stefan my regards..”

Kate was a little terrified right now because .. the stranger is not gone yet..! Kate took the note and went straight to the Salvatore house.. She knocked on the door but no one opened it.. She banged.. Still nobody..

“Damon.!” The door was slightly open.. Now .. so she got in… and was calling out for Damon… but she found someone sitting near the fireplace.. His back facing Kate.. he was sitting on the couch.. Some of his golden brown hair was visible for Kate because of the fire light..

“Hey..! Didn’t you hear me call Damon..?” Before she could finish her sentence..

Swoosh… the guy pinned her to the wall .. it was so fast.. Kate needed some time to calculate what was going on.. But the speed almost broke her back.. “Ouch… Who are you..?”

“Shhhh….!” His golden eyes were staring into her brown ones.. Deep into her soul.. Kate was panting.. A little.. She felt a little weak at his stare… “Don’t make a sound..!” And he bit her neck..

“Ouch… you're hurting me..! Stop it..” But the speed was too much.. The blood was getting out of her faster than anybody could drink it out.! “ “Damon..!” He stopped.. He was confused..

He knew that Kate wasn’t wearing anything like Vervain and there was nothing in her blood either.. “How did you..?” Kate was annoyed.. But dizzy …

Suddenly.. The guy fell down in pain and she saw the pain in his eyes… and Damon was standing behind him… with the stranger’s heart in his hand..

“Oh my god.. What?!” Kate was leaning on the wall… Damon Dropped the heart and burned to ashes and poof… He stepped forward and fed her his blood..

“Did it just burn to ashes..? Does that mean he is…?”

Damon nodded and smiled.. “Nobody hurts my best friend..!” That made Kate smile… but still… this guy on the floor is the most terrifying guy..! He is the Eldest of the Eldest Vampire, He doesn’t need a ring to walk in the daylight, His face doesn’t show the Veins, His eyes change its colour.. He is a Vampire but a different one.. He is the First Salvatore… He is Steven Salvatore..

He almost looked like Stefan.. But got the perks of Damon.. He never dies.. With a stake, or if his heart is torn out, or if he is burned… He dies when he wishes to die.. Nothing affects him.. Not even Bonnie’s spells.. If someone should alter his character or traits.. It should be the Witch who made him a Vampire in the first place…

Kate was researching this guy for days.. And now.. She met him face to face.. One slight problem.. He is a dick..

In a minute, he got back up and smiled at Kate.. Kate’s heart fluttered a little.. But she didn’t want him to know it.. He stared at Damon… “Why the hell did you..?”

“You touched my best friend..” “Oh she is your best friend?!

“Touched? Almost killed!” “No .. I never kill anyone.. I just drink their blood then leave them be until their blood runs back and never bothers them… “ Kate was amazed by what he just said..

“Ok.. I’m going then..”

“No, why did you ask me for?” Damon stopped her.. Kate stared at him.. Then at Steven and then back at Damon and gave him the note she had.. From Steven..

“I Hope Stefan is doing good..!” Kate left the house… in seconds… She needed time to evaluate what happened in that house.. She headed to class right after that…

Meanwhile Steven was confused and stared at Damon.. “What..?” Damon was pouring Bourbon into his expensive glass. Steven walked towards him and took the glass.. “Did you just see that?” “See what..?” Damon stared at Steven a little annoyed.. “She walked out like nothing was wrong.. She must feel a little dizzy after the amount of blood that she lost..”

This time Damon stopped his own motion.. In confusion… “It was impossible to compel her at all..! Is she a witch? No.. She is not a witch.. Why do I feel a connection between her and me..? Like I know her from my past.. But I can’t point at the right person… Who is she..?”

Damon was staring at Steven with a big question mark on his face… “I… I don’t know..!”

Kate went to meet Alaric.. He was in his class.. “Hey Kate…!” “Hey Ric.. when are we gonna practice ?”

“Are you serious?” Alaric was surprised at what she brought up … again.. “Yes..”

“Whenever you are ready..!” He smiled at her.. And Kate went back to her class..

She was staring out the window… She felt this feeling like something was tugging her towards something.. Like it was familiar for her.. She looked at Elena.. And Elena smiled.. And Stefan was right behind her.. “You are ok?” Kate mouthed.. “Both of them nodded…”

Kate smiled and wished if Caroline took her in like Elena and Bonnie did..

Stefan was staring at Kate.. He overheard what Steven was talking about her to Damon.. He was trying to get a close look but he couldn’t find out what she was either.. And poor Kate got no idea what was going on around her…
