Obsession Or Craziness?

Obsession Or Craziness?
Jenny’s POV
I sat propped up against pillows, with a half eaten apple in my hand. My shoulder ached beneath the tight bandage, a constant, low intensity reminder of the bullet I’d lodged there myself, a desperate move to win grandfather Domingo over. I was feeble, my body laden with painkillers, but my mind twirled, thinking of plans for taking back what was mine. The door burst open, and Richard stormed in looking angry. Seeing him, my heart leapt, the apple falling out of my hand. He seemed like a man who had nothing else to lose, and for some reason that was more frightening to me than the pain in my arm.
“Richard?” I put the fruit down and insisted that my voice not shake while there was a quaking inside my chest. “What’s wrong? Why do you look as if you’ve seen a ghost?”
He paced, clenching his fists, breathing heavily. “It’s Collins,” he spat. “That cocky motherfucker just turned the gun on us. On all of us.”
I leaned in, ignoring the agony in my shoulder. “What happened? Tell me everything.” I spoke steadily enough, but my pulse quickened.
Richard's pace slowed, his eyes manic as he described the shareholder meeting. “Your little gun stunt, it actually worked — it worked better than we thought. Grandpa felt so guilty he got up and told everyone he’d give you 10% of his own 25% shares. Ten percent, Jenny! A fortune, a seat at the table, real power no one could ignore.”
A gasp escaped from my mouth. Ten percent? Numbers began blinking in my head. Billions in assets,  I'll bewealthier, my name echoing across the boardrooms. I could see it — me, owning rooms, Collins finally treating me as his equal, his queen.  “Ten percent?” I murmured, my voice shaking in admiration. “He is giving it to me?”
I dragged myself to my feet, pain be damned, my handsshaking with the effort to grasp what I had just been told. “Did you bring the documents? Where do I sign?” I laughed my mind already creating a world in which I owned a part of the Domingo's empire.
Richa face darkened, and he held up his hand, halting me. “Sit down, Jenny. It didn’t happen.”
The words landed like a slap, and my knees gave out. I sat down heavily on the bed, the bandage pulling as I turned to him, looking at him, staring at him, with my mouth dry. “What do you mean by it didn't happen?”
He sighed, massaging his temples. “Collins burst into the meeting with proof – papers showing that grandpa had only 8% shares, the 25% was a fabrication. The old man has been signing shit away for years. Collins embarassedhim, took over, and killed the transfer. He then turned on the board, blackmailing three shareholders into signing over their stakes. He’s untouchable now, Jenny. He is the owner of the company and we are nothing.”
I got dizzy, and my chest constricted as his words sank in.Ten percent— my ticket to power, to Collins, to everything I had ever worked hard for was gone. I’d lost it. I’d lost billions, a sum that could have bought me the world.  Instead, I lay in this hospital bed, weak, woundedand empty handed. A sob ripped from my throat, tears plastering my face. “No.” My voice cracked as I tried to speak. “No, it was mine! It was supposed to be mine!”
“Why does he hate me like that?” I wailed, my voice heightening. “I’ve given him everything! I’ve lied, tricked, hurt myself — shot myself! to show that I’m the one he needs. Why does he keep picking her?” My  nails digged into the fabric. “What’s Amelia got that I haven’t got? She’s nothing! A nobody!”
Richard's eyes were wide and he walked towards me,“Jenny, there’s more. Collins… he’s married. To Amelia.”
The world stopped. My heart skipped, my breath catching in my throat. “Married?”  Ignoring the pain in my shoulder, I stood to my feet, seizing Richard’s jacket, my fingers bunching in the material. “You’re lying!” I screamed, my voice breaking, my eyes a red. “He can’t be married! He’s mine! He was always mine!”
Richard seized my wrists, attempting to pull me back, but I pulled back harder, the bandage coming undone, warm trickle of blood seeping out. I didn’t care. It didn't compare to the insanity eating away my brain. “Amelia’s the third party!” I shrieked, my voice bouncing off the walls. “She stole him! She’s a thief, a whore who stole my man, my stock, my life! I was to have married Collins! I was meant to have it all!”
Tears streaked my vision and I shook Richard, spewing venom. “I’ll destroy her! I’ll have her begging for mercy! She doesn’t deserve him! She’s nothing, nothing!” My bandage came loose and blood dripped onto the floor.Richards eyes flickered to the stain.
“Jenny, stop!” he shrieked, his voice turning jagged and desperate. “You’re bleeding! Doctor!” He made for the call button, but I didn’t give a fuck, my screams tearing loose, my body convulsing beneath the force of my addiction.
“Kill her, Richard!” I spat, my voice rough, my fingers still digging into his jacket. “You promised! You promised me you’d make her vanish! Do it! Kill Amelia, or I will do it myself!” My eyes were wide,  every single thought engulfed by the image of Amelia’s face, her smile, her win. She’d stolen it all — Collins, the shares, my future and I was going to make her pay.
The door swung open, doctors and nurses pushing into the room, their voices a blur as they reached for me. “Sedative, now!” immediately, my arm felt a sharp sting and my strength left me. “No!” I shouted, my voice fading, my body sagging against the bed. “Collins… I’ll have you… Amelia…” My vision fluttered, the world waning, yet my mind clung to him, the man to whom I’d given my soul.
As unconsciousness enveloped me, one clear thought cut through the fog, a whisper of my despair. I gave you all, so why?
