Chapter 7
A week went by.
Internet rage has a short shelf life, and new drama always shows up to replace the old.
Jessica’s dumb little videos stopped trending.
I ran into her on campus a few times-she looked like hell.
That’s how I knew her final act was coming.
That night. I camped in front of her livestream. Right on schedule, she went live.
With Ryan.
The viewer count started small-couple hundred people.
At first, it was pure rom-com garbage.
Staring into each other’s eyes, inside jokes, all that “we’re so cute” bullsh*t. The comment section was foaming at the mouth.
ust when I was about to throw up, Jessica leaned into the mic like she had something serious to say.
I wasn’t gonna speak on this but…”
the paused for drama. Obviously.
OMG spill the tea, girl!”
We want the story, I’ll call my group chat!”
The view count spiked hard. Hit three thousand in under a minute.
essica blinked like she couldn’t believe it, then turned on the fake humility.
Wow… so many of you here for me. Okay, I guess I won’t stay quiet anymore.”
he looked into the camera like she was soaking up fan energy.
I was bullied. By my roommate. She never liked me.
the even got the others to freeze me out emotionally.”
Poor baby.”
Wait, is she talking about the roommate from the last scandal?”
Two roommates in a row? Smells like dramaaa.”
She squeezed out some crocodile tears, then happened to notice a comment calling her out-and shot Ryan a quick look to ban the person.
She kept going, building this whole fiction about me,
I mean, she went hard. Said I stole her underwear.
Kicked a cat. Gave her PTSD.
Claimed she had a medical reportproving I hurt her.
No joke-she even blamed me for falling and busting her face running from a dog she tried to prank.
I swear, I laughed out loud.
While Jessica was busy assassinating my character online, I was quietly loading the nuke.
Chapter 7
The chat was going wild.
People spamming hate, calling me every name in the book.
Her stream was blowing up.
Then… Jessica’s phone rang.
She declined it.
Then it rang again.
And again.
Her whole vibe shifted.
Screen started vibrating like crazy.
And then, right in the middle of the screen-a golden comment appeared, glittering with animation:
‘Pick up the phone or the real show starts.”
The whole chat went nuts.
‘Did y’all see that?!”
Is that from the bully roommate’??”
OMG she’s being threatened live on stream!!”
yan jumped in like a drama-hyped golden retriever.
Started rambling about how I must be the one behind the message.
But Jessica? She knew exactly who sent it.
You bitch. You told me you were done with him! You made me look like a clown!!”
rofessor Harris was screaming on the other end.
Tep. Jessica was messing around with Professor Harris.
That’s how she knew all my dirt in the first place-he was feeding her info.
Took me forever to dig it up, and I had to pay top dollar for those hotel pics of her and Ryan.
Looking back, I wouldn’t be surprised if Harris had something to do with me getting expelled last time.
But not this time.
This time, I came prepared.
