"Yeah, but I don't think this kind of relationship is a good idea. I just wanted to make some extra cash with a part-time job, but things got complicated. Sorry for the hassle earlier."
"No worries. Next time, try to find a safer place to work. Bars aren't really the best spot for someone like you."
I chatted with Emily for a bit before we got to her house. Standing at her doorstep, I waved goodbye. "See you tomorrow." As I raised my hand, my sleeve slipped down.
"Your hand is hurt." Emily suddenly stepped closer, pulling my hand down to check it out.
She lifted my sleeve a bit, revealing a nasty cut on my arm, still bleeding.
"Must've gotten scratched by a bottle or something. It's no big deal, I'm fine. You should get some rest."
"No way, you got hurt because of me. Let me take care of it." Emily grabbed my hand and led me inside.
Her place was tiny, just a small living room, a kitchen, and a bedroom with a bathroom.
"Don't you live with your family?"
"No, they're back in our hometown." Emily pulled out a first aid kit from a cabinet, sat me down, and took my hand.
She opened the kit, grabbed some cotton swabs and iodine, and started cleaning my wound, blowing on it gently like she was afraid it would hurt, but it didn't.
After cleaning it up, she finally let go of my hand.
"Sorry you got hurt because of me."
"It's fine. If you feel bad, just get me a glass of water. I had too much to drink and I'm a bit thirsty."
"Sure, hang on."
Emily put away the first aid kit and went to the kitchen for water. While she was gone, I took a look around. Her place was small but super clean, with a few dolls on the sofa making it feel cozy.
"Here's your water." Emily handed me the glass.
"Thanks." I reached out, but my hand slipped, spilling water all over my pants, soaking my crotch.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to." Emily quickly grabbed some tissues and started wiping from my thigh to my crotch.
My body reacted instantly, and I felt my face heat up.
"No need to wipe there." I grabbed her hand, feeling embarrassed.
Realizing what she was doing, Emily pulled her hand back quickly. "Sorry, I didn't mean to."
"It's okay." I waved it off, but she stopped me. "Wait, your pants are wet. You can't go out like that. Why don't you change into a pair of mine? They're clean, I promise."
"Okay, thanks." I took the pants, not sure where to change. Emily quickly caught on and opened the door to her room. "You can change in here."
I nodded and headed into her room, immediately noticing a cotton bra with black lace that looked both mature and sexy.
"Uh, do you want to put away your bra?" I pointed to it at the foot of the bed.
"Sorry about that." Emily quickly hid it under the blanket and left the room.
Finally, I could change. The pants fit okay, though the crotch was a bit tight and the legs a bit short, but it was manageable.
When I came out, Emily had changed into a nightgown, a simple cotton dress that covered her from shoulders to knees. It wasn't meant to be seductive, but on her, it kind of was. There was something about her innocence that was oddly captivating.
I stood there, staring at her, almost forgetting I needed to go home.
Emily seemed to get what was going on in my head. She walked up to me, put her hands on my waist, and leaned in close, her cheek just inches from mine.
"It's late. Why not stay over?" she whispered.
I was about to say yes when I remembered what John had told me—stay away from Emily.
I snapped out of it, pushed her away gently, and took a few steps back. "No."
"I'm serious. I like you. I've liked you since the first day I saw you at the interview."
"I cut ties with Mr. Williams because of you. I want to be with you. Even when I saw you with Ms. White in the office, I didn't care. I just wanted you more. Do you know what I did when I saw you two? I went home and fantasized about you. I really like you. Can we be together?"
I stared at her, speechless. This was the first time someone had confessed to me since I was twenty, but I didn't feel happy. I felt a sense of crisis.
If I got with her, would I have to end things with Sophia, Grace, and Scarlett? Was it worth giving up three amazing women for one?
And the fact that she'd been with Robert made me feel sick. "I'm sorry, I can't."
"Is it because I've been with Mr. Williams? Because I'm not a virgin?"
"No, it's because I don't like you. I already have someone I care about."
