I swiftly raised my arm, blocking her view to avoid scaring Fiona.
"Why make it hard for her? Just let us through. I'm curious to see how things turn out for Matthew."
"Follow me." Mia maintained her composure and didn't project her emotions onto me.
Before leaving, I patted Fiona's arm, reassuring her, and motioned for her to come with me.
Throughout the journey, Fiona held onto my coat hem tightly, almost crumpling my fancy suit.
"Auntie, here they are," Mia said.
As soon as Mia finished speaking, I sensed a gaze on me. Turning in that direction, I saw a familiar woman.
Nancy was Mia's aunt?
A bit taken aback, I didn't acknowledge her but pretended to follow through with our previous arrangement of not knowing each other.
Nancy still had that chilly demeanor.
She gestured for me to approach, "Come."
Even though she motioned towards me, her attention seemed elsewhere.
Just as I suspected! Fiona let go of my coat hem, taking hesitant steps forward. Her legs trembled under Nancy's commanding presence.
"You're looking for me?"
"I heard you're mixed up with Matthew?"
"No, no, no." Fiona quickly denied, waving her hand, "I'm not involved with Matthew, it's all a big misunderstanding."
"How so?"
"I... I actually have a boyfriend. Tonight, Matthew and I were just discussing work over dinner. He was stressing the importance of safety measures after work."
I arched an eyebrow, surprised, looking at Fiona.
Even under pressure, she could still spin a tale to protect herself.
Seems she's not as scared as she should be.
I was curious to see how Fiona would handle Nancy's questioning next.
"Boyfriend? Is it the guy you came with?" Nancy's gaze shifted to me, hinting at something I couldn't quite grasp.
Fiona also glanced at me, her eyes begging for help to keep up the facade.
"Yeah!" She moved closer to my side, intertwining her fingers with mine in front of everyone, "He's my boyfriend. Actually, he was at tonight's dinner too. I called him to swing by and pick me up after work."
"Is she telling the truth?" Nancy ignored her and fixed her gaze on me.
With Fiona pleading for my help and having come this far, I had no choice but to step in.
"Yeah, I just arrived to see my girl being wrongly accused of being a sidepiece. I'm pretty pissed too. You all seem well-off, so I'm counting on you to clear my girlfriend's name."
"No need to stress about it, we'll look into it thoroughly. You can head back now."
"Alright, take care."
With that, I started walking off with Fiona.
I took a couple of steps, but she didn't budge. I turned to look at her.
She was gazing at Matthew, seeming to pity him, hesitant to leave.
Nancy caught sight of this and bluntly remarked, "What's the hesitation? Want to stick around and keep him company?"
Fiona shook her head nervously, "No, no, it's not like that."
Nancy raised an eyebrow, "Really? Then what's stopping you?"
"My girl is a good egg, she's never even seen a piece before. Now, out of the blue, seeing everyone packing heat around us, she must be spooked and shaken," I said with a sigh.
Nancy's crew surrounded us, all part of the special forces, and it would give anyone the jitters.
I was just more composed mentally, having dealt with these folks before, so I wasn't fazed.
But Fiona had never been in such a situation, so it's natural she'd be rattled.
After explaining that, I scooped up Fiona in front of everyone and made my exit.
This further solidified the "boyfriend-girlfriend" dynamic between Fiona and me.
Unsure where Fiona lived, I carried her to the car and drove towards the bar, prepared to leave.
"Alright, you're in the clear now. Just go back on your own. I'm heading home too. Catch you later."
With that, I headed towards the rental house without looking back.
I made it home in a jiffy, and as I walked into my room, Catherine initiated a video call.
I answered the video call, chatting with her as I rummaged through the bathroom for clean clothes. "Catherine, miss me?"
"You have no idea. I'm finally done with work and can actually have a proper video chat with you," Catherine responded.
"So, do you miss me?" I repeated my question.
I had a soft spot for this kind of thing.
I just wanted to hear her declare her love for me. The more fervently she expressed it, the more content I felt.
"Yes, I miss you every day, every hour, every minute, every second!" Catherine whispered.
"So do I. Anyway, how's work going?"
I strolled over to the shower area, placed my phone on the shelf, and carried on our conversation while showering.
Though Catherine had seen me shower before, she still felt a bit shy about my muscular physique.
As soon as she caught sight of my muscles, her eyes involuntarily looked away, and her cheeks flushed.
"My shy baby."
"Who would've thought you'd just jump into the shower without a word."
"You've seen all there is to see, what's there to be shy about?" I playfully teased, a light chuckle escaping me as I noticed her blushing cheeks!
"Would you have no reaction if I was naked in front of you? You've seen it all anyway," Catherine retorted, not backing down.
"Of course I will. There's not a moment I don't want to have you."
Catherine was taken aback by my blunt expression of desire and possessiveness. Her face turned even redder. "Why are you saying these things out of the blue?"
"You started it, didn't you? But now you've got me curious. Did you have a reaction seeing me shower? Is that why you're blushing?"
Catherine's gaze shifted, hesitating to meet mine.
"Come on, don't be bashful, spill the beans. If you don't, I'll grab a plane ticket and check it out myself."
"No! Stay there and focus on your work, don't come here!" Catherine quickly declined.
"Then did you have a reaction?"
"I did..."
"I don't buy it, show me."
"You've seen it before..."
"Not for a long time, so show me now. I've had a reaction too, and I need you to help me take care of it."
After the incident with Mia, I wasn't in the best headspace, but seeing Catherine, my dormant cock immediately sprung to life, growing at lightning speed as all the blood in my body rushed southward.
