I quickly called Mia.
The phone barely rang three times before she picked up.
"David! Why are you calling me now? Where have you been all morning? Don't think you can slack off at work just because we're close!"
"Alright, Mia. I overslept," I said, trying to keep my voice down.
Mia's tone softened. "How did you oversleep? And why does your voice sound so hoarse?"
I realized my throat felt scratchy and sore, like swallowing razor blades. My voice was all raspy, making my whole body shiver when I talked.
"I didn't even notice until you mentioned it," I replied, shaking my head.
"Okay, just get to the office. I'll tell the boss you were out on an errand," she said.
"Got it, I'll be there soon," I nodded. Mia was tough on the outside but had a soft spot.
When she first answered, she sounded harsh, like I had committed a crime. But once she heard my voice, she became gentle, worrying about me and even making an excuse for me.
Ten minutes later, I arrived at the company building. I got out of the car and rushed inside.
To my surprise, Robert was in the lobby heading towards the elevator, surrounded by well-dressed men, some his age, some older.
I knew they were company execs, on the same level as Robert or higher.
I took a detour, hiding at the entrance until they got on the elevator, and then I took another one up.
But I didn't expect Robert and his group to come straight to our PR department.
Grace, Mia, Jessica, and Ethan were already welcoming them.
Other employees gathered around, listening to Robert's instructions.
As I stood there, unsure of what to do, Mia noticed me and quickly came over.
She whispered, "We'll stall Mr. Williams for now. You go fix your tie, then go to the meeting room and ask Ms. White's secretary about the agenda. Everyone knows but you."
"Alright." I adjusted my tie, avoiding Robert's gaze, and slipped into the meeting room.
Grace's secretaries were two young, pretty girls, probably fresh out of college.
They were busy placing documents on each seat.
I quickly approached one of the secretaries who was closer to me. She had her hair in a high ponytail, with a few soft strands falling casually on her shoulders, giving her a youthful vibe.
"Hey, could you give me a copy of the documents so I can review the main points of this meeting?" I asked gently.
"Sure, just leave it on the center of the meeting table when you're done," she said, pointing to the table. Her voice was playful, almost childlike.
I glanced in the direction she indicated, which was where Grace usually sat.
"No problem." I took the documents from her and sat at the head of the meeting table to skim through them.
Knowing Robert and the others would be coming in soon, I couldn't read them in detail, so I just glanced briefly.
Once I understood the meeting's purpose, I left the room and looked around the office.
Robert and the others were still chatting and laughing with some employees. I quickly slipped into Mia's office, scanned her desk, and found a document related to the meeting. I grabbed it and headed out.
As I was leaving, they were heading to the meeting room.
Robert saw me coming out of Mia's office and asked, "David, why did you come out of Mia's office? Weren't you on an errand?"
His suspicious eyes made me uneasy. Why was he acting like he knew me so well in front of everyone? And the way he said my name, it almost sounded affectionate. Weird.
"I knew there was a meeting today, so I hurried to finish the task and came back. There was a document in her office needed for the meeting, so I went to get it," I quickly made up an excuse.
"Alright, let's go in for the meeting together, shall we?" he said calmly.
"After you." I stood at the door of the meeting room, opened it, and gestured for him to enter.
Robert didn't say anything else and led the executives into the room.
As John passed by me, he curiously said, "Why do I feel like Mr. Williams knows you?"
"We just know each other, but we're not close," I responded quietly.
John followed the crowd into the meeting room, still looking doubtful.
Emily was the last to enter, and once she did, I could close the door.
But to my surprise, in such an important setting, Emily discreetly touched my crotch.
Before I could react, she had already entered the meeting room, leaving me standing there in shock.
Was she out of her mind? This was the first time I had been caught off guard twice by a woman!
Was she that insatiable? How did she still have the nerve to tease me after climaxing four times this morning?
The meeting had already started, so I closed the door and took a seat in an empty spot.
Robert sat in the second seat in the middle, with the company's executive chairman sitting in the center. He was older than Robert, with some gray hair at his temples and a few white hairs on his head.
