Chapter 169 - My Rejected Wife Is A Billionaire
A sound came from behind.
Erin instinctively turned around, only to see Justin, who had been seemingly asleep, push the car door open and briskly step out.
The sight of him actively engaging filled her with an eerie coldness, especially as she imagined him silently observing her attempts to grab her phone.
Outside, Elio was irked by the near-collision and marched towards the car, intent on venting his frustration on the tires.
However, the moment he looked up, he saw Justin waiting outside the car, causing him to hastily retreat in a bid to escape.
From the alleyway, Bob and a group of black-clad bodyguards gradually approached them.
Erin looked at them in shock and finally realized that Justin had laid a trap, intending to expose Erin and Elio once and for all.
They were doomed!
Justin stood silent and imposing, enveloped in the darkness that made him seem more distant and foreboding.
Erin seemed pale and drained; she could barely muster the strength to exit the car, her body weighed down by defeat.
Bob strode over. "Elio, you and your daughter actually have the nerve to deceive Mr. Quinn time and again. Did you really think he would let you off forever?"
With that, he gestured at the bodyguards.
"Mr. Quinn's patience was not a sign of belief in your stories but hope that you'd lead him to the person he's been searching for. You've only disappointed him."
Elio's attempt at composure dissolved under Bob's scrutiny, his face ashen and his body trembling with fear.
Erin shook her head and covered her mouth in disbelief; she could hardly fathom Justin being so ruthless!
A bodyguard approached the car and tugged Erin out, throwing her toward Elio.
The two trembled uncontrollably. Erin tried to shrink back, and Elio didn't know what to do.
"Pack them up and throw them into the river!" Justin ordered.
The bodyguards obeyed immediately.
They tugged Elio and Erin over and began to stuff them into large bags.
Erin's attempts at resistance and cries for help were quickly stifled, her voice lost under the firm grasp silencing her pleas.
She kept crying and shaking her head, silently begging for mercy.
However, Justin no longer wanted to spare her a glance.
Erin knew her end was near!
As the duo were sealed within the bags, their fate seemed sealed as well.
Without further instruction, the bodyguards lifted their burden, ready to carry out their grim task.
"Justin..."
Just then, a faint voice halted their actions.
Justin tensed up and looked back instantly. The door of Elio's car opened, revealing a woman with long hair shadowing her face, looking timidly towards him with a faint smile.
Before he could speak, she whispered another name, "Blanco."
That name hit Justin like a bolt of lightning, awakening a torrent of memories and emotions.
He rushed to her side, gripping her arm. "What did you call me?"
The woman was startled and shrank back. She lowered her head and let her hair conceal her features again.
Soon, her sobs pierced the silence. "Blanco, you're mean. You promised you would never be harsh to me. You broke it."
Justin's grip loosened as he stared in disbelief and joy. "Are you... Blinky?"
The woman didn't answer, repeating her grievance. "You're so mean! You promised never to get mad at me. You once said pinky swear is for kids, but you're only 15 years old! You're a kid as well!"
Everything she had described was precisely what Justin had experienced.
A tear escaped Justin's eye, dropping on the girl's hand.
Bob had never seen Justin being so emotional.
While feeling extremely shocked, he seemed to realize something and gestured at the bodyguards. "Put them down!"

The ride back was silent; Justin kept staring forward like a motionless statue.
He was always silent, and now he appeared as if he was just a part of the air.
Bob looked back at him but couldn't read his expression. He hesitated for a while before speaking, "A comprehensive examination confirms the loss of the cornea in Ms. Watts' left eye. It didn't react to light at all."
After speaking, he handed a document to Justin.
Snapping out of his thoughts, Justin finally took it over.
He then turned on the light and started reading it.
After a long while, he folded them and put them aside.
"Have you found out what happened to her these years?" Justin asked.
"Not yet," Bob replied. "I didn't have much time, so the clues are still unclear."
"Keep investigating!" Justin ordered. "If you find anyone who hurt her, make sure to make them pay!"
"Understood!"
Meanwhile, Erin and Elio were sitting before Julie, glancing at her constantly. "Dad, are you sure this is Julie?" Erin asked.
"Does that matter? She saved our lives." Elio stared at Julie for a long while before responding.
Though she seemed much crazier than before, she still fit Elio's memory of Julie.
"Thank goodness. We told Justin that your sister was crazy, and now, she has indeed gone mad!" Elio scratched his chin. The fact that his daughter had become a lunatic didn't seem to aggrieve him at all.
"Dad, where did you find her?" Erin asked.
