Chapter 161 - My Rejected Wife Is A Billionaire
Justin laid the documents across his lap, flipping through them with his slender fingers.
His gaze lowered, and his face bore an expression of utmost seriousness and concentration.
The documents provided a comprehensive account of Cecilia's educational background, listing the schools she attended from elementary school through to university in clear detail.
Yet through the recent moments they had shared together, Justin felt a familiarity with Cecilia, a feeling that seemed to stretch beyond their four-year marriage, hinting at a deeper, earlier connection.
However, no such connection was mentioned in the documents.
Trusting Marvin's thoroughness and integrity, Justin wondered if perhaps he was overthinking.

At five o'clock the next day, Cecilia arrived on time to pick up Nico.
From afar, she saw Nico happily chatting with the person holding her hand as they walked out.
Following Nico's sight, Cecilia looked at the person leading her daughter.
The man was dressed in a long navy coat adorned with a matching scarf, accentuating his well-defined figure and handsome look.
The usually stern look on his face seemed to have softened.
It was Justin.
Hadn't he just seen Nico yesterday? And yet, here he was again.
"Mommy," Nico called out as they approached.
Then, she proudly lifted Justin's arm. "Daddy came to pick us up."
She used the word "us", her grin revealing her perfect white teeth.
Cecilia remained composed and pulled Nico closer. She then said politely, "Mr. Quinn, you're a busy man; there's no need to come here every day."
Her remark caused Justin to frown slightly. "No matter how busy I am, Nico is my daughter. It's my right to come see her." He pocketed his free hand, his tone turning colder.
Cecilia felt rebuffed but chose silence.
"Mommy, let's have dinner with Daddy again," Nico suggested, tugging at her wrist and looking up earnestly.
Cecilia was hesitant. "Your father is very busy; we shouldn't bother him."
"I'm already here; I don't mind staying for dinner," Justin interjected before Cecilia could finish her thought.
Cecilia couldn't help but look at him; she found Justin's recent behavior rather odd.
Once eager to keep his distance, he was now willing to share a meal.
Was he out of his mind or suffering from some pre-wedding jitters?
After learning about Ms. Antler, Cecilia believed that Justin was going to get married in no time.
"But I've already prepared dinner at home." Regardless of Justin's motives, she didn't want to dine with him.
"Then let's invite Daddy over to our place for dinner," Nico quickly proposed, her eyes pleading.
"Mommy, please, let's invite him. Daddy must be hungry after coming all this way; it would be pitiful to leave him hungry."
Cecilia was unable to refuse in the face of Nico's earnest request. The next moment, Justin spoke up, "If there's not enough food, I don't need to eat. Nico likes me being here; I want to spend more time with her."
Cecilia planned to reject him with this excuse, but now she truly had no way out.
"Alright," she agreed, "but my cooking isn't fancy; it might not suit your taste."
This was a subtle reference to Justin's previous refusal to try her cooking when they were a couple.
Justin remained silent as he approached Cecilia and took Nico's hand again.
With Cecilia taking Nico's right hand, their trio formed a picture-perfect family unit.
But why didn't he mind doing this in public?
"Mommy, let's go," Nico urged, tugging at Cecilia.
Giving in to Nico's insistence, Cecilia followed but deliberately slowed her pace and stepped slightly aside to maintain some distance from Justin.
Her apartment wasn't far, just a couple of blocks away.
Justin hadn't driven, so they all walked back instead.
Upon arrival, Justin casually retrieved a pair of slippers for himself.
He had frequently visited them during Nico's recovery, so Cecilia had prepared him a pair of slippers.
After changing shoes, he turned to help Nico with hers.
Nico leaned against him while holding his shoulder, making it difficult to remove her shoes.
However, Justin didn't mind. He gently took off Nico's sneakers and let her stand up in her pink slippers.
Even when helping Nico with her shoes, he acted like a true gentleman.
After that, Justin carried her straight into the living room.
Cecilia's spacious duplex, though not as opulent as the Quinn Mansion, was comfortably large.
Dinner was ready on the table. There were two dishes and a soup.
Not wanting Justin to just watch them eat, Cecilia sighed and went to prepare more food.
In the kitchen, Cecilia picked some chicken breast and spices before putting them into a basket. Then, she started washing some vegetables.
Then, she reached for the basket, only to find someone already holding it.
Surprised, she looked up to see Justin standing calmly beside her.
He had taken off his coat and scarf, revealing a white shirt that accentuated his lean waist. At this moment, he seemed extra alluring.
Suddenly, Cecilia felt as if a fire had been ignited within her.
