Chapter 159 - My Rejected Wife Is A Billionaire

The person hooked her shoulder, preventing her from falling.

It was the driver of the car opposite.

Cecilia hadn't even had the chance to thank him when suddenly a force tightened around her waist, separating her from the man's hand.

Then, a tall figure immediately appeared by her side.

Thankfully, Nico was unharmed.

Cecilia didn't say anything, merely thanking the driver.

The hand around her waist swiftly withdrew, and the next moment, Nico was in Justin's arms.

Without uttering a word, he moved forward.

Cecilia touched her nose.

Was Justin... angry?

She didn't bother to ponder further and followed him.

By the time she reached the elevator, Justin and Nico had already gone inside.

As Cecilia passed through, the doors were just closing.

Normally, they would retract upon sensing someone, but it was not a gentle encounter.

Cecilia knew she couldn't avoid it and braced herself for the impending squeeze.

However, after waiting for a while, she felt nothing.

"Mommy, come in!" Nico's crisp voice rang out.

Only then did Cecilia open her eyes to see two hands had stopped the elevator doors from closing.

It was Justin.

Meanwhile, Nico was hanging from Justin's neck, preventing herself from falling.

Cecilia quickly got in, settling into a corner.

Justin silently withdrew his hands, cradling Nico. He then glanced at Cecilia, his look clearly reproachful though he said nothing.

Cecilia lowered her head, pretending not to see his gaze.

The restaurant in Starry Tower was dazzling and luxurious, filled with comfortable sofas, offering both warmth and privacy.

Justin had made a reservation in advance, securing the best spot by the window.

From there, they could take in the entire cityscape of New York.

It was the beginning of the evening, and the lights below sparkled like a river of stars.

Nico giggled with delight, attempting to catch the starlight through the glass.

Justin indulged her, allowing her to play.

The food was equally impressive.

Soon, they were served large Australian lobsters, beautifully sliced foie gras, and T-bone steaks air-flighted from Australia.

The manager personally delivered a bottle of red wine, declaring them the evening's best guests.

After pouring the wine for both, he bowed and left.

Cecilia glanced awkwardly at the two glasses of red wine.

Right now, she and Justin weren't exactly in a relationship that warranted sharing wine.

Choosing to ignore it, she focused on cutting steak for Nico.

Justin picked up his glass elegantly, swirling the wine while never taking his eyes off the duo across from him.

Cecilia tried to cut the steak with her cutlery. Looking at her, Justin was amused by her clumsiness.

Despite her best efforts, a steak with bones was indeed difficult to cut.

Before she knew it, she was sweating and in a mess.

Just as she was figuring out what to do next, Justin suddenly took her plate away.

Cecilia paused, realizing Justin was offering to help, and quickly handed him the cutlery.

Justin took them over, his movements as graceful as a prince.

Even the angle of his cutlery was precise, clearly the act of someone well-versed in dining etiquette.

The rebellious steak immediately behaved under his command, cut into perfectly uniform pieces that looked almost like art.

Cecilia couldn't help but marvel at the difference between people.

While Justin was cutting the steak, she took the opportunity to respond to some urgent messages on her phone.

By the time she looked up again, there were two neatly arranged plates of steak in front of her.

Justin pushed one of them towards Nico.

The other plate... she thought was for Justin himself, but he pushed it towards her.

It was an unexpectedly polite gesture.

However, Cecilia didn't hesitate and began to eat with Nico.

They didn't maintain the same level of elegance as Justin, quickly devouring their meal.

Justin looked at them speechlessly.

Typically, he disapproved of such a lack of dining etiquette, but for some reason, watching them eat didn't bother him at all.

As the three of them enjoyed their time together, Erin's day was turning out to be quite troublesome.
