I lift my glass to my lips, taking a sip of my drink. Whiskey. I glance around the packed nightclub, happy for my friend's achievement. Despite the crowd, some people recognize me and ask for photos. Other girls keep offering themselves. Annoying. I can hardly enjoy myself.
Like a magnet, I look to my right, the farthest corner of the VIP area, in an isolated spot. There's a red armchair, but my eyes wander over to the legs of the woman sitting there. I raise my gaze to her black dress and fix my eyes on her face.
"Impossible," I mutter to myself, never taking my eyes off the woman who's observing everything with curiosity.
I notice that some men are looking at her, which she probably didn't notice, but I did. I swirl the drink in my hands and swallow it in one gulp, still looking at her. I put the glass back on the table, slap my hands on my clothes as if I were cleaning something and walk towards her. Her eyes meet mine and she sees me, suppressing the urge to laugh at her surprised expression.
"Four times in less than 24 hours," I say as I stop in front of her. She looks at my figure standing in front of her and her gaze on my face.
"Are you following me?" she asks, her posture rigid.
I smile at her.
"I think it's the other way around," I joke, sitting down next to her uninvited. "You're not drinking today?" I ask.
"I'm waiting for Alex who's gone to get our drinks," she replies, looking around for her friend.
"Don't you find it too coincidental all our encounters?" I ask.
"What do you mean by that?" she asks, looking me in the eyes.
Damn, I was so close to her that I could feel my heart racing from the proximity.
"It's destiny, damn it," I respond.
She smiles.
"Again with this destiny stuff?"
"I believe destiny wants us together."
I take the initiative and lean in a little closer, taking a lock of her blonde hair in my hands. I twirl it around my fingers, gazing into her eyes.
"When something is worthwhile, waiting is just another consequence."
"Was it good for you?" she asked shyly.
It was the best fuck of my life, and I've been with a lot of women in my life.
"If I want it again, what do you think?" I asked.
She bit her lip, and I followed her movement, wanting to grab her right here.
"To be honest, I don't remember last night very well." She laughed, looking at me. "I was very drunk."
"You didn't drink today; I can make you remember."
She looked at me and didn't say anything. I took it as a yes and stood up quickly; she followed me with her gaze.
“I'll wait for you outside in 10 minutes," I said as I left.
I walked past the people who were trying to stop me in some way and went out the back door because it was impossible from the front.
At the back, my car was parked where I had left it. I leaned against the hood of the car and crossed my arms to wait for her.
My heart was beating frantically in my chest, I was so fucking anxious.
I've been with many women in my life, but Isa is different. Our sex was as intense as it had ever been with anyone else. Our chemistry is unique.
I want her, and I know she does too; she's just scared. And I understand your side, but I'm not going to give up on having her in my arms one more time. I never give up on what I want.
Stealing all my air, I watched the blonde leave the club, looking around, and as soon as she spotted me, she stopped walking for a moment. I'm sure she's wondering if it was a good idea to come meet me, but I'm going to change all the bad thoughts she has about me.
A man approached her, putting his hand on her waist and whispering something in her ear. I leaned off the car to approach them, but I saw her grimacing and shaking her head, gently pushing the man's hand away from her waist. She left the man talking to himself and walked towards me.
I kept staring at the man who made a point of turning to admire her butt as she walked towards me, I clenched my jaw and tightened my fists.
"Hey," she called out to me, and I felt her warm hand on my right arm, she held my hand, releasing the grip. I shifted my gaze from the man and looked into her eyes.
"What did he want?" I asked, trying to control my anger.
"A jerk," she grumbled.
"What did he say to you?" I insisted.
"It's not important."
I stared at her, still with a stern expression.
"You called me here for this?" she questioned. "I'll just go back in, then."
She turned to head back to the club, but I held her waist, pulling her close to me. She bumped her nice butt against my body. I brushed her hair aside, exposing her neck, and gave her a sniff, planting a kiss there. She shivered, making me laugh.
"Sorry," I whispered, fixing her hair back in place and turning her to face me. "Should we get out of here?"
"Let's," she replied.
I held her hand, and we walked to my car. I unlocked the car alarm and opened the door for her. She got in, thanking me. I closed her door and went around the car to sit in my place.
I turned on the air conditioning and put on some soft music. I started the car and backed out of the parking lot.
"Are you hungry?" I asked.
"No, thanks," she said, looking out of the window as the streets disappeared behind us.
"Tell me more about yourself," I asked, interested. I put one hand on his thigh while holding the steering wheel with the other.
"What do you want to know?"
"Everything," I replied.
Honestly, I'd never been as interested in a woman as I was in her.
"I don't have much to say."
"I'm sure yes."
She looked at me and we smiled at each other.
"Well, I'm a journalist and writer. I'm 35 years old. I'm the mother of a 15-year-old teenager. I just got divorced after a long marriage. I'm not used to drinking; I drank yesterday and ended up in bed with a stranger."
"I'm no longer a stranger," I retorted.
"I still don't know anything about you besides being the famous and desired player all over the world."
"Desired, huh?"
"Don't play dumb! You know very well that wherever you go, girls swoon over you."
"Indeed," I agreed. "But now I only have eyes for one woman. Blonde. Recently divorced and a mother."
She looked at me for long minutes and then looked away, staring at the window.
Did I say something wrong?
I opened the glove compartment of the car and rummaged through it for a gum. I found one. I tore the plastic and put one in my mouth, chewing.
"Want one?" I offered. She looked at my hand and took a gum too. "Did I do something wrong?" I decided to ask. I'm always very direct and honest.
"I just got divorced, a 15-year marriage," she sighed. "I'm not looking for a relationship, and I think this is a mistake."
It bothered me, I confess.
I parked the car on an unknown street for me and turned to her.
"A mistake? Explain to me, why is it a mistake?"
"I'm 10 years older than you. That's reason enough!"
"Have you never been with someone younger before?" I asked.
"For God's sake, until yesterday my ex-husband had been the only man in my life," she said, but then fell silent, looking to the opposite side of mine.
"So, am I a lucky bastard?"
"I'm 35 years old, I was raised differently from you young people today. I'm not like those girls you're used to."
"And I know, damn it," I said a little annoyed, seeing that she was making a thousand excuses not to be with me. “I know you’re different. You’re unique, Isa.”
Our gazes waged a war between them, no one daring to look away. I lowered my gaze to his pink mouth and returned to his gaze.
“I can't stop thinking about you,” I confess. Ever since I walked into that bar yesterday and saw her, my traitorous thoughts have only led me to her.
Isabela didn't say anything; she continued to stare at me with her intense eyes. I sighed. I raised my right hand toward his face. I held her neck tightly, keeping eye contact with her. I stroked the back of her neck with my finger, and she closed her eyes for a brief moment. When she opened them again, they had a different shine.
“I want to kiss you; that's the desire I feel every time I look at your delicious mouth.”
“What are you waiting for?” She asked sighing, sending my self-control to hell.
I brought my face close to hers and held her neck tightly, alternating my gaze between her eyes and her mouth. She was doing the same thing, but the damn sparkle in her eyes was driving me crazy and I hadn't even touched her yet. I ran my index finger over her inner lip, feeling the softness of her lips.
"I want to kiss you. I want to kiss you all over. I want to pin her against the wall, stretch out her arms and slowly bite her neck. I want to bite her lips and kiss her. I smell your face. Breathe through your skin. I want to kiss you. I whispered. She sighed.
Without thinking twice and wasting no time, I pressed my lips to hers. Starting with a long kiss. She opened her mouth to let me in and I took the opportunity to explore her mouth with my tongue.
