Chapter 129 Sophie, is this true?
I can barely think straight because of the way he is moving inside me. Then someone knocks on the door.
“Liam. Sophie? Are you in there?”
It is my mom.
My brain is fogged up from what he is doing to me. Her voice hits me like a wake up call and I almost scream. But Liam puts his hand over my mouth fast and shuts me up.
There is nothing but a thin door between my mom and us. The fear of her finding out makes everything feel more intense, like a current running through my whole body.
I grab onto his shoulders. I am shaking from both wanting this and being scared. My nails dig into his skin.
He keeps his eyes on my face, not looking away, as he pulls his dick out of me just a little and raises his voice to answer her. “We will be right down.”
His voice sounds completely normal. But I can not help it. My body clenches up and I feel him twitch a little inside me.
“Okay.” My mom does not suspect anything. I can hear her right on the other side of the door. “Dinner is ready. Come down when you are.”
“Sure. Thank you.”
I hold my breath and listen to her footsteps getting farther away. The next second, he lifts my legs up and pushes back into me hard. A shaky moan comes out of my mouth and this time he stops it with his hand again.
“Babe, you are killing me,” he murmurs next to my ear. His voice sounds like he is burning up.
He moves into me with long, hard strokes that bring every sensation in my body to the surface.
My body feels like it is humming. I wrap my arms around his neck and pull him closer, saying his name under my breath. “God... Liam... I think I am about to ”
He leans down and kisses me, deep and hot, moving his hips against me and driving into me over and over.
“Wait for me,” he says, breathing hard.
I am breathing hard too, my body winding tight. My muscles clench around him.
He groans, shaky, and goes faster. Harder. Deeper. Grinding into me.
I feel that familiar heat building low in my stomach. I bite my lip and move with him, letting the feeling build and build until I am right there.
Then he jerks, losing whatever control he had left, coming inside the condom at the exact same moment I do. I feel myself let go around him.
He collapses on top of me, his face buried against my neck. He breathes in deep, like he wants to soak in my scent.
A little later we both come downstairs. Everyone is already at the table.
“What took you so long?” My mom asks. She looks annoyed, still sulking from earlier.
I mumble something vague and sit down next to her.
She wrinkles her nose and frowns right away. “Did you both take a shower?”
Damn it. My mom has a sharp nose. My heart jumps. Of course we both took a shower. I did not want to smell like sex. But now it seems like showering just made things look more suspicious.
“The AC broke,” Liam says, pulling out the chair across from me and sitting down. “It feels like a sauna up there.”
He always sounds so natural and calm when he lies. I do not know if that is something I should admire or not.
David is talking quietly with Mr. Thorne, then he turns to us. “So I just called the hospital. It sounds like the boy will be okay.”
“Oh.” Liam says flatly. “Good for him.”
Mr. Thorne narrows his eyes at Liam. He clearly does not approve of his attitude. “David will go to the hospital later and find out what they want. But I hope you have learned something from this already. Think things through before you rush in next time.”
Liam snorts. I jump in before he can say something defiant again. “Yes, Mr. Thorne. We both learned our lesson.”
“But what about Soph?” My mom’s voice is high and sharp. “That boy assaulted my daughter right on the street. Are we not going to do anything about that?”
David gives her a comforting smile. “Of course we are. I will make sure he answers for what he did to Sophie. But in the meantime, maybe it would be a good idea to have some extra security for Sophie?”
I blink. Extra security?
I picture myself going to school with a bunch of bodyguards hovering around me and I immediately say no. “I really do not need that.”
My mom frowns. “But Soph.. ”
“Trust me on this,” I say quickly. “I come straight home after school. What is going to happen?”
“Do not worry, Mr. Thorne,” Liam adds. “I will keep an eye on her. Make sure she is safe.”
I look up at him, grateful for a second. But then he opens his mouth again and my stomach drops.
“Though I do not think it is a good idea for Soph to do a part-time job right now.”
My mouth falls open. My eyes go wide. Did he just say that?
My mom straightens up in her chair, her voice rising. “What part-time job? What are you talking about?”
“Sophie was just offered a job at a local coffee shop,” Liam says, his face blank. “Did she not tell you? Jordan was coming in for an interview there too. That is why they ran into each other.”
Everyone looks at me. Waiting for me to answer.
“Sophie, is this true?” Mr. Thorne asks, his voice low.
I open my mouth but nothing comes out. I look toward Liam without meaning to, but he looks away, avoiding my eyes on purpose. I can feel it right away. Betrayal.
And then I understand. He was waiting for this moment the whole time.
