Chapter42
Andrea weakly returned to the dressing room and randomly grabbed a skirt.
Just about to change, the door suddenly swung open.
Matilda burst in and grabbed her arm, her sharp nails digging into her skin.
“Weren’t you supposed to go back to your country to get married? Why are you still clinging onto Roderick?”
Andrea slowly pulled back her hand and grabbed a wet wipe from the side to clean the touched area, saying, “Ms. Turner’s foundation got on my hand.”
She looked up at Matilda, her eyes as cold as if she was looking at a piece of trash that needed to be dealt with, “I suggest changing brands, too much oil.”
Matilda’s face turned pale in an instant.
She suddenly grabbed the rare leather handbag on the cabinet and slammed it on the ground as if venting.
“What do you think you are! Just a kept woman! Without Roderick, you could never afford this bag in your whole life!”
Andrea didn’t get angry at all when she heard that, instead, she just gave her a calm look.
“So what, at least now I have it.”

Matilda was furious, she suddenly raised her hand, as if to hit Andrea.
Andrea gave a slight smile.
“In this villa, there are countless surveillance cameras, covering every angle. Have you ever thought about the consequences before throwing a punch?”
Matilda made a gesture and finally unwillingly put her hand down.
“You just wait for me, I won’t let you off easy.”
Watching Matilda storm off angrily, Andrea felt a sense of peace like never before.
Doesn’t matter, anyway I’ll be leaving soon.
In front of the luxury goods counter, Matilda held a five–carat diamond ring and gestured in front of the mirror. The diamond reflected a dazzling light under the light.
“Roderick, is this style nice? The setting of the ring looks like two hearts, so romantic.”
She said, getting closer to him on purpose, “I heard that the bigger the diamond ring, the deeper the love.”
Roderick absentmindedly glanced and handed the cashier his black card, saying “Wrap it up.”
“You didn’t even look carefully!”
Matilda pouted and tried to hold his arm, but he skillfully dodged, and her smile froze on her face.
The shop assistant was filling the gaps in the gift boxes when Roderick suddenly loosened his tie and walked straight to the flagship display

“Bring me that 10–carat pink diamond.”
The moment the glass cabinet door opened, Andrea grabbed her skirt tightly.
The pear–shaped pink diamond lay on a velvet setting, its facets reflecting a sunset–like halo. Surrounding the main diamond were clusters of smaller diamonds arranged in a thorn–like pattern, reminiscent of their entwined seven years.
“Come and try it on.
Roderick’s voice was unmistakable.
Matilda’s face lit up with joy, but just as she was about to approach, Roderick turned and grabbed Andrea’s wrist.
Matilda’s smile froze on her face again, her carefully drawn eyebrows knitted together.
“Roderick…”
Roderick’s hand was bulging with blue veins as he clenched the ten- carat pink diamond ring.
He grabbed Andrea’s wrist without hesitation, the metal ring feeling as cold as ice, and pushed it straight onto her ring finger.
“Let go!”
Andrea suddenly struggled.
For seven years, pent–up emotions surged up, and she used her other hand to firmly press against his chest.

“I don’t want to!”
Roderick’s pupils suddenly shrank, and he pressed his fingertips hard against her reddened wrist bone.
“Listen.”
His voice dropped very low, with an undeniable intimidation, but
when it touched the coldness in her eyes, his throat rolled fiercely.
