Roderick’s forehead furrowed, and he realized belatedly that he had been drugged.
He looked around and finally his gaze landed on the incense burning on the table.
“You actually drugged me…‘
He gritted his teeth, his eyes filled with malice.
“Roderick, it was you who made me do this, only this way I could have you…”
The burning sensation in his lower abdomen kept coming, he used his knee to push back the crazily rushing Matilda, breathing heavily.
“You don’t have to struggle anymore…
Matilda’s hot body pressed against him again, her nails digging deep into his arm.
“This medicine was really strong, you couldn’t handle it. Wait until everything is settled, then you’ll have to marry me…
Roderick dodged her kisses.
He suddenly exerted force, throwing the person towards the sofa, but he stumbled and knocked over the dining table.
The red wine spilled on the snow–white tablecloth, just like
bloodstains at a crime scene.
Matilda fell to the ground, the keys on her body fell out, making a

crisp sound.
Roderick saw the key, his eyes lit up instantly.
Matilda was panting heavily, reaching out her arm to grab the key back, but the medicine kicked in and she felt weak all over.
Roderick tried to keep his balance and struggled to get the key with all his might.
He staggered towards the door, struggling to insert the key into the hole.
Behind me was Matilda’s sharp hysteria-
“What’s so great about Andrea that you can’t stop thinking about her? Can’t you just look at me?”
“Roderick, you had no chance with her anymore. She’s engaged to Quinn and they’re living together. God knows how many times they’ve slept together. Would you rather have her, a slut, than me?”
“Shut up.”
The man had a fierce look in his eyes and a particularly hoarse voice.
“You have no right to say that about her.”
He finally grabbed the key and inserted it into the lock. In the moment the door was opened, he fell sitting on the hallway carpet.
The shirt soaked with cold sweat stuck to his back, Roderick pushed himself off the wall and staggered down the hallway, each step feeling like stepping on hot coals.
Suddenly, a familiar voice came from ahead, and he looked up abruptly.

Andrea was standing by the corridor, holding her phone, with pearl earrings gently swaying as she moved.
“How is Caspar’s injury? Give him the phone, I have something to tell him.”
Her tone was light, but it hit Roderick’s heart like a heavy hammer.
His pupils shrank suddenly, and the burning sensation in his abdomen surged like a wildfire.
Roderick stumbled forward and grabbed Andrea’s wrist as she turned around, pulling her forcefully into the partially open compartment on the side.
“Ugh!”
The sound of the door locking and screams rang out at the same time, Roderick’s hot palm tightly covering her mouth.
Andrea struggled violently, but when she saw the man’s bloodshot eyes and his face flushed with a strange hue, her struggling suddenly froze.
“Brother? What’s up…”
“Andie…”
Roderick whispered, his hot breath spraying on her neck.
His fingertips trembled as they brushed her moist eye corners, and he was momentarily transported back to the warm moments of the past.
“Shall we go back to Woodholt?”
He buried his face in her shoulder, his voice hoarse to the point of breaking.

“No Quinn, no Matilda…”
Andrea suddenly realized something was wrong.
The man was burning up.
Just as she was lost in thought, Roderick’s lips came down, with a wild and desperate plunder.
